What an awesome way to start the morning with coffee. Ride the 300 rally to work early and watch two of your latest episodes. Love your style. So easy and calming to watch and like your positive outlook when things don't go as planned. Awesome scenery (always wish I was there, well except for the icebreaker slogging routes) and wow, you got those bikes loaded to the hilt! Missed ya and happy to see you both back....but sorry to see the wheel bearing issue rear its ugly head again. Kudos to the Honda dealer for stepping up and getting you back on the road! Someday maybe they will make a camera that shows terrain incline as our eyes see it! Thank you for the content, especially in light of recent IB development. Please stay safe! Peace!
Thanks Jason! Your comment came through just as I was slogging through editing tomorrow’s episode and it encouraged me to keep going 😊!!! Thanks for the lovely kind comments and although our trials and tribulations aren’t quite over yet it’s an awesome trip! Stay safe on your 300, seems like we all love these little bikes 🎉
10:44 - that gate made up of wire and battens is what we call a "Taranaki gate" here in New Zealand - they're quite common... at least, up here in the North Island, anyway.
@@wanderinghonda7963 When you get to New Zealand, if some one tells you something like, "the trail goes up to the top of the hill and you turn left once you go through the Taranaki gate," you'll know exactly what to look for, even if you're in the Waikato or the Manawatu rather than Taranaki...
More swamp than expected in Spain. At least no alligators in sight ;-) You had your fair share of mechanical problems, hope all starts working perfectly from now on. All the best, Günter/Nürnberg
Great stuff - watching you struggle on the TET reminded me of my own struggles. If only we could go a bit faster the tracks might be easier to get over, but then the falls get more dangerous! And you are right - it never looks as hard on the camera as it is in the moment. Looking forward to Ep 3.
we ride significantly slower when travelling even though it sometimes makes life harder on trails just because the impact of bike problems or injury is so magnified compared to having them at home. If I’m travelling solo my risk appetite notches down another level compared to when we ride together (as you know, solo riding can get you in a pickle if you aren’t careful 😆) If you enjoyed watching us struggle slightly you might find an episode coming up soon (the valley of doom!) entertaining 😂 Thanks for the lovely comment
Good effort guys, you have the right bikes.. 😎 I usually feel the TET can quickly go beyond my skill level! 🙈 Defo prefer the ACT tracks. I feel your episodes are too short!!! Just getting into it and it finishes. 😢
We always struggle to balance making the episode slightly longer without boring people senseless lol As you know it’s so difficult to be subjective when you’re editing your own footage. We’ll try and make the next few longer and see what happens You are going to love the episode with the second hard loop. It absolutely kicked our ass’s 😂
@@wanderinghonda7963 it’s hard to tell what people want, I just go with what feels right to me, if people like it then great. I just honestly feel I want more each time, disappointed when finishes so quick! 🤣 Glad it wasn’t just me and Andrew that struggled there.. not that I wish that on anyone! 🙈🤣
@2WheelFreak That loop is so massively degraded compared to when did it a few years ago Steff has vowed to never do it again 😂 When it gets to that episode enjoy our pain and hopefully it doesn’t give you too many painful flashbacks!
We had to come off the TET at that point as we were so delayed and needed to get to Portugal to start the ACT. Great hearing from people who’ve done the TET around that area. How was the rest of it? Similar? There was some beautiful scenery 😊
Further east and North around the top half of the 'loop' it's more open and flowing but wonderful tracks up a height. The views are magnificent and the riding excellent on gravel, rock and hard pack. Loving the videos👍
You lovely Honda bikers stay on the track no matter how deep the mud is 😳 I just missed a little bit the use of your rescue rope 😉 Without the time limitations I would have camped on this pretty nice plateau with a view 😍 Enjoy your time 🙋🏻♂️
Looking forward to seeing this trip guys, I was there myself last week and had a brilliant time. didn't go quite according to plan either but had a blast will tell you what happened when you complete it,. yourselves take care
Fantastic! Very much looking forward to hearing about your experiences. That second “hard section” on day one really kicked out butt! I’m sure that episode will bring back memories when we release it. (I think it’s episode 4 but we called it “valley of doom” so that gives you a clue 😂)
I feel really bad because I can’t remember, sorry about that! It’s Simon here, Steff is away and she is the one who generally gets accommodation (as well as the one who has a decent memory, I’m like a goldfish, 2 second attention span and memory 😆) Thanks for your comment and sorry I can’t remember the hotel details
Hi, it’s a funny coincidence you asked that today! We’d been planning on being on the road through Sweden and Norway (the TET) but last night decided to delay it very slightly and leave just after the ABR
thanks for the lovely comment. I think in this series we used TKC80 and the previous series we used Anakee Wild. We did a review of the Anakee Wild if its of interest th-cam.com/video/n-NMcthblWA/w-d-xo.html
Hi Richard, I think it’s safe to say the weather this year has been weird!!! Having just got back from the Portuguese ACT where we encountered freak snow (the locals were very confused!) We did the Pyrenees towards the end of last year (I think September time) and we had lovely weather. It’s sounds as though you got there a little early in the season! 😊 Did you make it though or did it alter your route/plans?
We did all apart from the two highest passes. It certainly was an adventure. One with lots of snow. We're going back in September. I've gotta get to that VW. We did the tet back to Bilboa all stunning. Thanks for your videos. Ps out of 3 bikes we ended up at two bikes shops so your not the only ones.

First time we’d come across them, they seem a pretty good idea

Good effort 👍. I recognise the funny rusty gate and the deep ruts. We did it in the opposite direction 👍

Great job, will you be attending the ABR festival?

Quick question. What month did you do the Pyrenees ACT. As we found out. May is a bit snowy 🌨

@richardshilling2958 That’s brilliant 😂 That really made us laugh and I’m so glad it’s not just us that have the occasional run of bad luck!
