An easy fix is adding weapon customization... Diff reticles ,skins , mag size , Scopes ect... I also think interior ship customizations would be a cool thing to add.. just let players find a way to semi express themselves outside the armor variance.

A smart man learns from his mistakes, a wise man learns from others mistakes! My kids are in seventh and ninth grade now, but I always coach their basketball teams. Good job looking to TH-cam got a lot of helpful tips over the years.👍🏾

i swear - there's a group of people who would love nothing more than to have an UNLIMITED of time in a map and justt keep fighting enemies ranking up 1,000+ kills to get the highest score.
maybe the only limitation is when they actually run out of 20 lives.
make what ever excuse or mission reason for this "last stand" - "no retreat" scenario to make it make sense story wise but surely hard core players will love this.
a different idea - is getting "free" stratagem slot - either its team share cool down or the usual free stratagem that they do sometimes but do it more - give more free mechs for people --- or like if people collect 2-3 eggs or robot heads - they get a free mech to use in the next mission
totally agree with the devs just go crazy swinging buffs/nerfs AND they could totally do it through story telling.....
reward players for taking a planet? - X weapon gets buffed - cool downs reduced - free stratagems..
make the world mission harder - things they want nerfed get nerfed that way - the enemy took down the factory that makes this weapon --- ammo reduced -- damage reduced...
they have missions that 2 planets are being attacked at the sametime and only one can be saved --- X gets nerfed or Y gets nerfed and the players gets to choose what they are willing to sacrifice. etc etc there's always more story ideas to add in the buff and nerf of weapons

I wonder if super earth is even built and finished. I wouldn’t be surprised they weren’t planning on bots or bugs touching earth for months. And they will manipulate the bots forward process before it gets close to super earth

Yes buffs are the answer. I’m not talking about just boosting power and calling it good. But customizing each weapon to over all be reliable and useful. That will take time. But they had months to start and barely have made a dent. It’s been tiny buffs and huge nerfs.

I disagree, there is a significant group among the devs/ balance team that actively dislikes the player base and is overtly working to kill any fun in this game.

In the case of Helldivers 2 almost every gun needs to be buffed though. Almost every gun lies just below good enemy breakpoints. Also, you repeat the notion that buffing isn't an option, which according to most people familiar with this game don't agree with. They should have the Auto-cannon as a golden standard and buff everything to its level.
Let's take Division 2 as an example. There are tons of weapons and all of them can be as strong with the right build. Every playstyle is viable.

ARROWHEAD, you're first supposed to make the player powerful, and then gradually stack the challenges against them so that they have to use their powers to surmount the threat. Kind of like making a player a kung fu master, and then pitting them against 10 pit fighters. And observe how they do.
The problem is you're tying one arm behind the fighter's back and blindfolding him/her, while increasing the amount of pit fighters he faces even putting some in armor. Not smart.

Revolt? Rather a storm in a teacup moment.
    Slow week for content creators?

Everything you mention about managing the meta in a way that is progressive and obviates the need for nerfs has been perfected by the gacha paradigm. Love it or hate it they understand how to manage players power fantasy in a way that doesnt break the game but maximizes player engagement and retention.
