While I was extremely disappointing with the dark swan story line (it had the potential to be one of the best arks of the series, and instead it was wasted by turning it into Emma/hook romance line), this scene is simply amazing.
Personally, I loved the romance added into this. The theme of the show is also fairy tale focused, and romance between heroes and villains fits right in that trope. Hook starting off as the villain, and then the Savior becomes a villain. Getting their positions swapped gave me yin and yang vibes which made me all for it. I am intrigued though, what would you have liked to see in place of the romance?

Question time for you guys: (SPOILER) Now that Rumple is the Dark One again, if someone kills him and takes his place he/she'll see Emma and Hook as "spirits of the past Dark Lords"? And if they see Emma, what will Emma do? She was never really evil, so her "ghost" would try to help the next dark One to not fall into the darkness or not? :-)

Anyone ever notice that they used the wrong prop in this scene. Emma grabs the dagger and it says "Emma Swan" on it because now she is in control ( at 2:13) and then it cuts to Nimue and when it cuts back to Emma (at 2:19)the sward says Nimue again.
What the dark one says about keeping something for yourself even when you love someone is completely correct, the killing part is a no . Just walk away
Myriam G I can only answer to your last question, Nimue did love Merlin, otherwise the curse wouldn't have worked and his death would have been completely useless and wouldn't help the plot, so yes, she loved Merlin, though I feel like he loved her more than she did. I have stopped trying to understand Nimue's actions in that scene a long time ago. Hope that was helpful, sorry it was this long ☺
such a missed opportunity to not have written morgana la fey as the first dark one since they were going into the story of king arthur.idk why the writers would have prioritized nimue over morgana for the arc since she was such an integral antithesis of arthurian legend. i always felt that this season should have gone a different direction in a lot of places and had plot holes that i wished were resolved. this was such a disappointing season since it was the most anticipated
