If Nimue could drink from the Holy Grail, does it mean that she was chosen/worthy to have that kind of power? And I wonder if she ever loved Merlin at all... :(
+Myriam G After Merlin nobody needs to be worthy in order to drink from the Grail and become immortal. Just like when someone pulls Excalibur from the stone, once it's out anyone can use it.
I don't think anyone see or noticed this but, this whole Arthurian legends in OUAT is just showing over and over the life and fate of tragic villains/heroes! Nimue wasn't born Evil, she was just holding a lot of hatred towards the man who destroyed her village( can't really say I blamed her by seeing the view of the village) her anger towards him became stronger than her love Merlin and pushed her through getting the power of cup and ultimately becoming the first dark one and thanks to Emma's mind, we all know now why exactly all of the Dark ones become crazy over time. about Arthur, I'm not really a fan of turning a mythical hero into a villain thingy( I wasn't complaining about Peter Pan cause even Pan had a lot of signs even in the Cartoon) but not Arthur! but I mean in his own mind he's not doing this for evil actions, he's just so obsessed with the prophecy and closed his eyes on everything else, which clouded his eyes on the fact that how many people are getting hurt because of his obsession and especially his own wife but it's really not because his intentions are and always were evil, he's just delusional that thinks all of it is gonna end well. that's what I mean about introducing tragic characters and this line about "the path to hell is paved with good intentions"
I agree with everything you've said I'm currently rewatching the series and on season 5. And yeah, I agree with what you've said about Arthur. On the one hand, I hate it that they made him a villain (well in the eyes of our main characters, if that makes sense) but in his eyes, he's doing the right thing.

Furthermore, he had even planned to kill Merlin after reassembling the sword. And that's because, in his distorted mind, he accuses him of deceiving him just because Excalibur wasn't complete when he found it. And he always wanted everything without even earning it. Surely he had the requirement to reign when he extracted excalibur from the stone, but he lost them pursuing his crazy desire to find the other half of it.

This goes to show that darkness is really is made. Because Nimues' heart was good and pure which was why she was able to drink from the grail. She was worthy of the power that the grail would gave her after drinking from it. But when she decided to use that power for dark deeds such as killing she didn't want to let that power go by keeping Excalibur whole knowing that being stabbed with Excalibur would take that power away.
Cruella proves it's born to us all, though damaged mind prevented the Light from coming too. Still, it was probably because her nurture was during the 40's, there weren't the means to balance it.

However i know that there is a movie Nimue and Merlin but i have no idea how to find it.. + it is sooo weird to hear my name in once upon a time especially sinds no one in my country has heard of my name and most struggle to prenounce it correct, but in the series they do haha :)

Nimue, on the other hand, did it also because when her magic became dark, becoming the first dark one, it amplified her feelings and darker desires. So at that moment she wasn't controlling the power, but the power was controlling her.

so nimue drinking the grail caused everything to happen. if shes not there, everyone would have been fine
