This whole scene turned into a major plot hole. The writers made it so it seemed like they had done something *horrible* to Emma in Camelot, and that she now had some evil plan that would punish all of them. Adam and Eddy even said in interviews that Emma would do something particularly horrible to her loved ones. NONE OF THIS EVER HAPPENED. They shaped her up to be the biggest bad the show had ever seen, then she was outdone by Dark Hook, and instead of having some evil plan and trying to hurt her family, she had been doing it all for Hook. Frustrating, it is.
+Brendan Reymann I actually don't see this as a plothole. After seeing exactly what happened, it makes sense that Emma would try to make a big impression on them here. She's erased their memories, so they have pretty much almost no idea of how she behaved in Camelot, and now she just has to cement their opinion that she went dark. She plays the act of the threatening villain, and turns a dwarf into stone. When asked why she's doing this, she replies "I am the Dark One." All this puts all the focus on her, and now the heroes will be determined to figure out her plan, paying *her* the most attention. This takes the focus away from Killian, which was her intent. For example, even if Killian were to, say, have trouble sleeping, it could be written off as insomnia and worry over Emma.) As for doing something horrible to her loved ones? I don't know about you, but taking someone's heart and forcing them to break your son's heart is a pretty terrible thing to do. (Not to mention going against Killian's dying wish not to turn him into the thing he hates most. Because of her, Captain Dark One was created, and caused a whole lot of trouble. To put it mildly.) (She also almost got Belle killed by Merida.)
And to think about how they ruined that perfect moment with that horrible plot twist of making Hook a Dark One too. I'm still quite disappointed as I thought they could've gone so many interesting directions with Emma's character as a solo Dark One.
Don't forget about the scene they showed us as a promo (where Emma is in a cell and crushes some guys heart) and then they did not even use it! DARK EMMA would have been soooooo awesome, but no ... They ruined it. :(
I wonder what happened with that scene..... but her not being as dark as other Dark Ones is only reasonable as she is the Saviour, and the flashbacks in this season showed us why she didn't become fully dark...

@@Blayklie55 very true. There is a reason Rumple is the most liked character on the show. He played the dark one superbly. Emma tried way too hard and it just came off as corny. Which is why she only played the dark one for half a season and Rumple became the dark one yet again. Rumple carried the show. Emma having white hair made her even more ridiculous.
She's so much better as evil. I wish she would continue as dark one and Rumpel are scared. My favourite part in the full series are that Emma became evil.
how are the surprise that she became that way if you all remember season 4 episode 7 at 27:12 and on through the rest of the episode The Snow Queen was f****** right dude I don't like Emma's parents anymore for the rest of the Fairy Tail game all I like is Emma because she did what was best for Henry on the other hand her parents Snow White and Prince Charming did what was best for the kingdom yeah great parenting skills how did they expect her to have a family knowing what they did those bastards and if you want to crowd me with hate go ahead check out that episode and tell me if I'm wrong the whole episode okay >: (
