In my life, I've noticed that sometimes compromise is the best path. These condos are older, yes, but the cost is fantastic, along with the great space. I want a kitchenette, which these have, with a freezer-fridge, a washing machine, a spacious living-lounge area, and reasonable bedroom and bathroom. So, for me, this seems ideal. The location is actually close to all that I would need. Why? I'm NOT a party animal, NOT a boozer, NOT obsessed with over the top libido pressures (I'm 81 years old), and still close to the beach, massage places, restaurants, plus a large enough pool for swimming laps. The Muscle Gym looks super as well. These are perhaps one of the best all around best condos I've seen you offer so far. (Friday, April 22, 2022) Thanks again Daz for finding the difficult to find best places.

Wow, just finding this video in August of 2022. This looks like a GREAT option for condos. They are a little bit dated, sure, but the size to spread out and be comfortable is amazing.

Just a thought, you should set up a business as a referral service for people looking to rent condos. You're getting the city covered and know where everything is and the best deals!!

The older buildings are probably better built than the new ones and usually have less than 8 floors making them probably safer.

Dang. That first place, big shower with a window which I like to get i fresh air and helps keep things fresh. I like the quiet pool, surrounded by plantss. Reminds one that they are in the tropics and an exotic place. Double Dang.

Agree that these older places look great value 80sqm for the price of 35sqm in a new build. Great english on the girl - she could do well as a condo/finder. Des says "the design is old fashioned" like its a bad thing! More of these older places definitely please.

The older buildings offer much better value, plus they have a bit of character. I stayed at the View Telay 2 and loved it.

@@anthonydowling3356 yes I stayed for a few months earlier this year and liked the people and local area. It's definitely top of my list.
Stayed at 5-6 different condos but a lot of the newer places are VERY cheaply put together. They look nice (for now) but the walls are very thin and many of the fittings etc are cheap.
JBC isn't the Hilton but the condo's are big, thick walls, cool throughout the day and close to everything I need.
@@pubbets7290 you are 100% right about the new condos. Sure they look shiny, but it is cheap and thin, plated, thin walls, geared towards chinese hoardes and air bnb constant renting out. 4 or 5 people in each room.
I'm actually staying about 3 minutes walk from this condo ( on soi 5 ) it's great value for the size and it's got location ,location ,location 😁- the Pratumnak soi 5 beach area is simply fabulous ,esp in the evening

Good find as ever as a hidden gem away there. Nice old Thai style building and decent sized rooms at 80sq mtrs….even tho bit old but as said previously the 1st unit is fine. Lovely and quiet pool and a lovely Thai lady to show you around too….very nice indeed.

I'm in the United States and those 2 apartments are a lot better that mine. I'm in a 671 square foot apartment paying a little over $1000 USD a month for just rent and it's the cheapest one. Can't wait to retire and live the good life in Thailand.

I really liked the first apartment. The best factor for me was the very close location to the Muscle Factory. Would be perfect for my needs.
Good value for money. Older condos are always my favourites because they are bigger inside , tall ceiling too. About the building: low rise with character , always mature trees around the swimming pool, And in good and central locations. Cheap community charges , electric and water also. What more we could ask for? Thanks for share another fantastic video with us.

Excellant video.prices are a bargain in my opinion for the location and services around the area.just a 10 min stroll to the baht bus in jomtien if you need it.

Very impressive, size-wise, price-wise and surprizingly neglected by the would be settlers. A bit of paint work and the occasional new piece of furniture would be welcome, but all in all, those places should certainly be taken into consideration. Thank you for sharing.

If that looks like 30 years old, then it's oldskool, I can live with that!. I wonder how the new skool shoeboxes will look in 30 years time?. Little bit of money spent to renovate and you're good for another 30 yrs.
You can't compare those units to the edge or base?. Size wise they are 2 units put together. Rather live in oldskool condos any day. Cheaper too !.
Splendid video!!🙏🙏 Thank you for all your arduous work! I personally prefer the older condominiums; the newer ones are a bit like staying in a walk-in closet for me. A stay over two weeks becomes too claustrophobic. But that is just me. Each to his/her own I say. Were you able to get back and review that one she said would be renovated in a month or so? I would love to see what they did to the old condo! Cheers!!

30 years old condo not really old as long as the construction of the building still looks good and not showing any structure damage.My son renting a loft two bedroom two bathrooms for $2400 a month plus $400 electric bill. The building was built 1878 in downtown Springfield Missouri. The newer condo half the price. The price of both condo in the video were great 👍. Thank you for all the information.
Beautiful big condos at very reasonable prices. A very good reminder of condo life, especially if there's renovations going on, when you heard the person hammering away in a room somewhere in the building yet it sounded like they were banging in your head....ugh! That hammering causes instant stress.
But it was due to be finished in 1 week
@@everythingPattaya I understand Daz but to be honest, I was making a generalized comment about condo life with any construction that reverberates through the building, at least any condo ive ever lived in. I think I'm much better suited for a detached home.
@@keithd1219 I think it is one of the possible downs of Condo life. If someone starts a 1 month reno it could be annoying. Need to find a friend to take the mind of it. Sure we'd survive.

If they replaced the furniture, these places would be much more. Very nice indeed. Beautiful quite pool area. A place to get away from the hustle and bustle
Hi, Daz enjoyed your video it would have to be number one for me. Strange bedroom with the windows out to the hallway but it has no exterior window no natural light but it has one thing that many condo's do not have which is a bathtub that alone would be the reason I would rent number one. If two had a bath it would have been my first choice. The pool area looks nice very quiet no traffic noise. If you're on a budget I think both are good deals and the location is spot on. Plenty of entertainment restaurants and a top-class gym at the end of the street. The beach is ten minutes away. Good find :)

The parking is at ground level. Less likely to flood! Looks interesting.
Hope you will show us an in progress renovation. I would to see on of these slightly re imagined with new fixtures in the kitchen and bath. that would kinda be my go to...buy in a solid building and update YOUR space for 2021...Yeah?

Sure, it seems like someone is storing their old furniture in a somewhat clapped out apartment but it seems clean enough and spacious in a nice location. For the price, not a bad option. Nice to see alternatives.
How much for her? Kidding of course; maybe. I agree with the other commenters. The older buildings are quite appealing! I like how secluded that pool is. In one of your video's you explained that you have been coming here for 20+ years and can trust only about maybe six women; were you referring to bar girls or just women in general?

Great bargain, I much prefer the big older apartments I just couldnt live in a 34sqm rabbit hutch, Bonus there its quite and has a nice lady manager I would take that first room if I was you.

Me and a mate stayed directly across the soi from that building in the small condos with the pool out the front. It's a great location good food on Soi 5 and close to the Kinaree if you like that sort of thing?
everytime you show me these things, I almost push the "book and travel" button back to Thailand. I don't need to work and planned to head to Thailand to start my retirement or semi retirement but have been waiting to see how COVID policies settle out. For these bargains, and my lack of motivation to work any more at my age, I am on the verge of ....

I spent 2 wks in Cetus on the Beach. It was great. Amazing building.
I believe Pratmauk is better. Close to anything you want.
That looks great, the issue I have had with older buildings is when they get that age there is a lot of construction noise at times.
Try finding anywhere in Thailand without construction noise !
I'm coming over in late November. I'm not sure if I'll live in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, or Pattaya. These older places are interesting and I would imagine could be quite nice when renovated.

New buildings with new amenities are still preferable even though they cost more.
Very nice.I’m surprised these older condos haven’t attracted more attention as they seem great value,hands down a winner for me over the new ones,you spend half your life waiting for the lift in the new ones.as land values go up they are just trying to accomodate more and more people on the same size parcel of land and it’s only going to get worse not better

@everything Pattaya The Staff at View Talay 5D, ( _this is the condo bldg. closest to Thappraya Rd_ ), isn't nice or friendly at all, however, View Talay 5C, ( _this is the condo bldg closest to the beach_ ), they are very warm and super friendly. That has been my experience. I have lived in both bldgs.
The first one was better and the one I would go for.she looked very nice in those tight jeans 👖.🤩😍nice camera work 😉stay safe regards Damon 👍🏼
