You, sir, look like a very happy man! You deserve it, as you have "paid all your dues", so to speak, with your many years in Thailand. You've learned the culture, been wonderful to the lovely Thai people. The spirit of Vee...is with you! God Bless...Wishing you many happy days! ❤
Yay for the move being done! Sad to see your old condo go away, but I bet you guys will love the new area. especially that close to the beach! now, could you send me some of that motivation? I can't seem to get over mom being gone and can't get myself in gear to get the house cleaned out and sold😕 Hope you have a great week!
Greetings from Chicago! Thailand bound with family in July (Bangkok, Ko Samui, and Khon Kaen). With airfares, etc., it’s a small fortune but will make memories of a lifetime so well worth it.
Glad to see that you moved to Rayong. It's my future home, and I appreciate your vids on this area. Can you check out the surf scene, and club there? When you find the time...
bye bye Pattaya and Hello Rayong..... new chapter in L&L's life .... shame you moved but hope we can catch up when we come back to the "not too busy" Darkside in October ... yeah I admit crossing the railway line can be a bit of a pain but just go outside the busy times and it is much easier... Rayong is nice and I am sure you both will have a blast... keep up the vlogs (missed not seeing your sunday one last week). Ask your kiwi mate "What part of Oz are you from?"... it is always good to see steam coming out of Kiwi's ears when I ask them that
The old saying: You know who your real friends are on moving day. That's great Lucas and Lan. Enjoy your new place. I thought for sure the new Pattaya renter would keep the hut but oh well. It will be a great addition to your new back yard!
Good deal brother! Happy for you. I'll b retiring this fall and moving to Thailand. 😊 Hope all is well with you. Take care and as alway's stay cool 😎 kind and generous.
Hey guys! Always expect a "hiccup" or two when moving, it never fails. In my estimation, all turned out rather well. Your residence is strategically situated. Good fortune, health and stay safe.
We had a football team and the same happened to us we where in the middle of nowhere &the van started to loose power we had no choice but too get out &walk it was a long journey 😊😊
Hello Lucas. It helps when you have an army of helpers. Glad to see you have some good restaurants close by, and near Immigration.A bonus of country living is less crowds. Best of luck to you and Lan.
I first came to Thailand 4 July 1972 with the USCG...Lol...A couple of weeks after that...I knew this would eventually be my Retirement home someday......Cheers
Yesterday I caught up with an interview you did 6 months ago with Advisor Danny and I thought I knew you pretty well but learnt a few things I did not know. But what struck me was that after Kev In Thailand and now Steady Eddy you never mentioned Health insurance, but here's hoping you have been sensible and got FULL cover. Best of luck in your new abode, hope all goes well.
Putting petrol in to thin the diesel might work, it did for me one time I put $23 diesel in my Chrysler Regal by mistake, I put $20 petrol in there and it didn't even blow smoke. Mind you I live in New Zealand and the Chryslers with the HEMI motor that we had in Australasia were tough buzzards, my mrs did about 40 mph in reverse one time when she was angry with me and the car was fine, my nerves were shot as I only JUST got out of the way before she went whizzing passed on her Broom-stick. We still laugh about that one....40 years later.
Congratulation, on your new place in the moment, you must be one of the only guy in Thailand. that have a diesel motorbike😂😎🙌 Best regards, all the way from Denmark 🇩🇰 ( Kevin Burt’s ) old made
Nice house, so close to the beach. Great way to start the day listening to the waves 🌊 with a cup of coffee. Looks like the perfect yard for a pup 🐶, congrats on the move!
I was shocked to see the white and blue bike on the truck. I have always been fascinated by how much work you put into it and I think it is beautiful. I assumed you sold it because I haven't seen it in some time.
just a recommendation if you live near by the beach you should think about that the wind will carry the salt breeze with it so maybe you bike need extra coating for that in long term.
looks like you have picked a nice quiet spot to make home , good on you , I went to Bang Saray about a month ago and found it a absolute winner compared to Pattaya , think that's where I'll be making home when I move over
The wife has family in the ban Chang area and is planning on going down there in the August September time frame she is a English teacher in the Nam Phong area would like to meet up with you if you have the time I know moving is a bit of a hassle. Stay safe and enjoy your new home
Got back from a month in Thailand a few months ago and spent a day passing through Rayong and stopped at a restaurant for a great seafood lunch overlooking the beach. Not the crowds or traffic like in Pattaya or Bangsaen, so next time my wife and I go back to Thailand, we will spend a week in Rayong exploring the area.
Yo Lucas….back to the old stomping grounds..I think this is close to where you used to do you morning walks, I think. You look well, my friend. I’ve been busy with life so I haven’t been tuning in that often…thanks for sharing as usual…:-))
Yeah Lucus, i just moved as well, bought a house out by mabachan lake, nice digs. Just finished the bhuddist ceremony, and still trying to complete the move from my old house. If your interested in doing a video on cheap rentals ( 2 bedroom townhouse) in central pattaya near big c extra. Let me know, i think the landlord is going to rent for 10k monthly on 1 year contract. Hope you enjoy the new location. Feel free to stop by the next time you out by the lake. Ed
You lasted much longer in Pattaya than I expected. When you left Bangsaen I expected you to be fed up with the place within a year or two. Mind you, a couple of quiet years over Covid probably helped extend the stay.
Lucas, I didn't know that you were in Thailand 30 years ago. I first came to Thailand about 25 years ago right around the time when the Asian Tigers nations had their financial crisis. The Thai baht was about B45 to $1 US. It was a great time, and right then I fell in love with Thailand. I am in my mid 50s now and retired in California. I'm one of those few guys who paid off his house and worked at a job that gave me a traditional pension for the rest of my life. The only reason I am not already in Thailand is because I can afford living in California and it seems so chaotic in Thailand now. Rayong reminds me of the old Thailand from 25 years ago.
Still love seeing your White Yamaha(?) Bike...I recall those videos before when you were sprucing 'her' up! Glad you still have that bike! Enjoy the new, very cool home! 😊😊
I remember that feeling one time I was stating on the bed talking to my girlfriend and I was looking at my ticket &it hit me I should have been in the plane two hours ago panic set in I came down &we hit the bar we went to ton airport I told them the bus didn’t turn up a bit of paperwork and I was on a plane ✈️ at least I got a extra night 😊😊
Not a bad move at all, aside from the diesel gaff. I hope you enjoy the new home and location. I settled in Bang Saray, and agree, the Pattaya traffic is crazy, and they keep building high rise condos! Looking forward to seeing your adventures in Rayong area.
@@Rides4Kickz when i lived in ma. my thai wife and me would go to coast guard beach in truro she would send me to the 68f. degree ocean to settle me down
I hate moving. But at at least most of the furniture in your sweet old digs was already furnished. BTW how long were you living at that house. It didn’t seem that long, but time does indeed fly. I’m surprised the new renter didn’t bite on Lan’s sala for $120. I hate snakes. I’ve been doing some research and learned that cobras can even be found in the urban landscape, like downtown Bangkok.
It must have been tough but I guess somebody had to hold the camera while the ladies put stuff on the truck! 😅 What a beautiful feeling that you are in fact home and so close to the beach and that you don’t have any deadline to get back to anywhere else.
Loved that little story at the end about not having to leave. Hope you enjoy the new place :)
