Throughout my 20s I didn't get to travel as much as I wanted due to work and school taking up my time and finances, I didn't even hop on a plane anywhere for 11 years, now in my 30s and beyond I'm gonna make sure I travel more as often as I can before I get old, it's like therapy for me, life ain't all about money, we should all travel because because money returns, time doesn't
If you can, travel. Explore. Leave your hometown. Go somewhere far away. Live or find a job in another country for a while. Discover how other people live and how different it is from what you know. Different places will bring out different versions of you. Go and see what’s out there. The self-discovery that comes from leaving can change your entire life. I know it’s scary, I was scared too.. but I did it anyway and you can too. My whole perspective in life changed the moment I stepped out of my comfort zone. And you won’t regret it, I promise. If it works for you, good. If it doesn’t, well, atleast you tried.
This talk is what inspired me to start my travel podcast. Please take a quick listen. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and maybe you'll learn a little something about this so called world of ours.
sadly with pandemic WFM been longest staycation at home, trust we all learn to appreciate life is short indeed and look forward to move forward to endemic. god bless us all
This pandemic sucks. I started to earn in 2020 and this pandemic hit in 2020. Life sucks so much that I daily hear suicide prevention Ted talks to keep me sane, I don't know what even to do.
Unfortunately he didn't really make an argument for why traveling is important. He made a point that we should travel more. He's trying to encourage people to travel, but as one of these Americans who don't travel and thinks that it's wasteful, I don't feel convinced. At 30, I'm working a full time job, I'm trying to buy a house, and save for the future. As a single man, I don't have anyone to travel with and it seems like wasteful consimerism. I'm sure the mountain tops are breath taking, but what value does me experiencing the mountain tops produce that justifies the cost of time and energy compared to spending my time and energy on something that I can spend progressing my goals?
WOW i'm brazilian girl and i LOVE TEDx Talks ! i wish you guys culd come to brazil and made speechs with all of you data THAT'S insane if this happen i would be in the first spot
Actually there is something wrong to being a homebody. I wish we could start addressing this instead of treating it like the body acceptance movement. Being home all the time isn't healthy at all. It makes you fragile, cowardly, fearful, out-of-touch with the world, crushes your social skills, and augments pre-existing mental illnesses. When's the last time you saw a recluse who didn't have serious issues?

But to fulfill one dream is better than none at all
Four years ago Airbnb was awesome now it’s more expensive than ever, with cleaning fees as much as a hotel stay

Life is short. There is no point in saving all the money if you don't spend it.
Atleast save a good bit for a rainy day
