- ChiChi is a 6 year old black headed caique whose owner passed away, so he was given to a local rescue in his area. My friends adopted him and shortly after had their first baby, so I agreed to take him on and train him to be a family friendly bird! I asked you guys in my previous video what trick you wanted to see me train ChiChi, hands down you all said ROLL OVER! But I couldn't help myself, I read through a lot of the comments and also saw the head shake one so I decided to just train as many as I could - they only took me a couple days, the rest of the days we were busy busy!

JamieLeigh - i have to tell you that I have had a rough few weeks (my son has a chronic illness and he is better now but its been stressful and scary). We are a cat family and i don't even know why one of your videos showed up in my feed but it was the one where you are bouncing around with Stormy. I laughed so hard that the nurse had to come see what it was - and then together we watched all the Stormy clips (WOOOOOOHOOOO NO HEART ATTACK DOIN?). we have sinced watched most of your videos and are discussing the possibility of a budgie (my boys are 18 and 20,but we agreed to start slow if we want to try to add a Fid to our Cids (Cat kids?). One of our 3 kitties was a rescue who lived with a Chi chi bird til her owner passed and we know she would be ok and since she is the alpha of our kitty family,hopefully she would guide the other 2. We won't make the decision hastily or on impulse,we promise.
Although if Stormy ever needs a home,I know that half of the nurses at the Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia (where my son is cared for if he is in need of an admit) as well as myself would take him in a heartbeat.

Storm has had soooo many inquiries haha, thank you for letting me know this. It means a lot! Even my own cat, who has been raised around the birds, cannot seem to resist the smallest ones like budgies so be really mindful around cats.

We breed them at our small bird store. Them & white bellied caiques are so much fun but I like to call them hyper active & never stop playing or moving! They are adorable & if I win the lotto I want a crew of a few of both! Lol but next Season I wouldn't be surprised if I get one! Lol lots of fun but need plenty of toys, lots of emrichement & tons of exercise plus constant watching g bc they love getting in trouble. Lol but so adorable they can get away with it! Definitely a great bird not big but not tiny & deffently very bold birds. Like a big bird in a small bird body! & surprisingly very strong & I guess bodied for their size. If you have lots of energy to keep up with them they are amazing & they love to hop that is too funny! :-)
Your ChiChi is a sweetie and such a smart learner! Caiques are amazing. My white bellied caique Newton aka Newt came to me from a rescue in April and he does “spin,” “fetch,”
“Hop,” “shake,” high-five and now we’re working on roll over. He is coming right along. So proud.
Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else trying to find out how to teach a parrot tricks try Parrot ploy plan (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my neighbor got amazing success with it.

He has a totally cute and awesome personality - such a little busy butt. The rollover is very cute but the birdie on back is probably most useful and still sweet.

I didn't get the connection to the head shake and getting the bird to stop doing something naughty. Hard to blow on him if he's more than a few feet away or on your head!

Would it be possible for you make a video about caiques? I'd love to learn more about these little guys, as I am seriously considering getting one of these little hyperactive birds... but it would be my first bird ever... so I am not sure whether it is a good idea or not...
I'm not sure if this is too late or not, but as a first time bird owner Caiques can be a little overwhelming. Sense they are so hyperactive they can't be left in a cage very long and needs loads of love and attention. But if you're up for the challenge they are great birds

This little guy makes the same purring noise my little Loki makes. Loki is a crimson bellied conure. I’ve only had parakeets, cockatiels, lovebirds and parrotlets before my little CBC. Loki typically will make that little purring sound when he’s content and sleepy and sometimes when he is on alert while outside. I’ve never once heard a bird/parrot make that sound but hearing the similar sound from this little guy makes me wonder what exactly does the sound mean and what parrots actually make the sound.
