I was there that weekend at Laguna Seca with my dad. We went there for the Indy car race. I had no idea the Radical cup was going to be there and as the practice started it hit me, "isn't this Sueillo's series!?"...right at that moment standing there with my dad right in-between turn 3 and turn 4, it was as if time slowed down as it does in life during poignant moments, the Radical that passed by us I could see the name "Sueillo Alameida" on the side of the cockpit of the car. It gave me chills. It made my weekend. While I follow F1 and know quite a bit about it, I am not that big of a fan of Indy car like my dad is yet, knowing a fellow sim racer who I have come to know well on TH-cam was there racing made that weekend the best ever. I am so grateful he made this video. I was waiting and hoping that he would. This video memorializes that incredible weekend. 🙏🏻❤️
How was Indy? I am a bigger F1 fan but after watching a few Indy weekends, the Indy production and the Indy driving standards seem like Amateur hour compared to F1. I've never seen so many people go off track in a race and also spin out in pits and hitting other people. Watching Indy felt like watching Mazda Rookies lmao Only reason I'm interested in Indy is that their paddock passes are dirt CHEAP compared to F1. $1,200 Indy Paddock pass with all food included and an open bar at Indy lmao. It is like Dollar General prices compared to F1 races we have been to,
Problem with Chris being his "best and Only" competition is that he is racing against a guy that was born 4 years before the moon landing. By his own admittance (26:36), Chris is slow. His "defending" would have been black flagged in a serious racing competition. The last year that Chris ended up in a podium position at the end of a championship was in 2005 in LeMans America, which is another pay your own seat league. The driver that beat both Chris and Suellio in Laguna Seca all 3 races, Blake, is a part time Radical driver. This race is a month old. The part time driver that beat both Chris and Suellio all 3 races last weekend (7/19) in Radical Streets of Toronto Radical races is 15 years old. Less than half the age of Suellio. I'm 41 and start sim racing 1 year ago. Before that, I never had "feelings" for racing or motorsport of any kind. And I'm definitely more an active than a passive guy. Watching something, specially sport (any kind) make me fall asleep or at least bored in couple of minutes. But it's always a great feeling to watch and hear you Suellio. I really wish you the best for your dream path ! As the song said "I Can't take my eyes out of you" (but not for the same reason that the song was written for 😉)

At 21:50 when I saw Chris dive left and slow down to let you on the outside I thought oooh Sh*t its a trap, don't do it!!! Knew he was going to push you. It was cool to see you play him on his own move later on in the 2nd run you had at him to take the position! Great to see and also great to have such a competitor like McMurry to push more greatness out of you. You need the antagonist to reach your true greatness and it looks like he's having a great time too!
You are truly an amazing person! Keep racing and making videos telling your story. It is so inspiring to so many. Sending nothing but success and encouragement your way!

IMHO having had to put yourself up against the whole grid by 'instant action' was possibly the most precious opportunity this early in you 'IRL' career! This is all about the ability to adapt and get out as much of the situation as possible. This is the kind of experience racers take years to encounter, let alone learning to handle it and come out on top of it. After this weekend you have a head start compared to fellow racers that had to solve such a task! Get the most out of this experience because, this ability to learn so quick will help big time in helping the engineers to fine tune the car setup!
Fantastic video as ever. Best motor racing content out there. Amazing how quickly you (amongst others) go from being ecstatic at being in a real race to being sad by merely being P3! It was an amazing achievement in the first 2 races. I haven't seen the 3rd yet ... Oh wow. Race 3 was even better. I felt myself shadow braking at corkscrew and the last corner every time. I’m still watching but paused to say that the “send it” conversation was a great example of how to coach a coach.
