    I have a 2016 ZO6 the same exact color and rim color as yours. Your car looks beautiful...... I wish I would have taken the precaution that you did with the clear wraps when I first got the car but now it's kind of too late have a little bit of chipping in the front of the car and on the rear fenders from rocks. My car is a manual version of yours with the 15% boost pulley and catless x-pipe. If you get a chance, check out some of my videos and let me know what you think.

      Thanks, I'll check it out. I'm trying to find a Borla x-pipe but very hard to find now. I want to keep the stock sound but louder. might need to get the new Borla x-pipe but add the extension where cats go. I'll check out your car. Thanks.

    I have kept my 2017 ZO6 completely stock. The only thing I am thinking about doing is disabling the active fuel management...what's your take on this? Thanks!

    Hello Elliot, this was another great video full of great infomation, i love your modifications. I love the Expel clear that you strategically placed on the car where it would be vulnerable to the hazards of daily driving, that was a very good mod because you are ensuring that your Z06 will look great for many years to come, and from what gather that is one hell of an air filter to give you an additional 30 horses heehawing down the road. This was anothet great video and i thoroughly enjoy them, keep them coming and continue to enjoy that beaitiful ZO6

      King Judah ... thanks, the Expel locations were recommended by the installer, then rear quarter panels next. I forgot to mention the side skirts help a lot. Air filter and design have a lot to do with the performance. Burger Motorsports has a dyno and shop, most BMW and corvette folks recommend him for mods.

      Elliot 2017 Z06 I have been watching so many Z06 videos and i am seriously contemplating trading in my Camaro SS for the Z06. There is nothing like it on the road and i am falling in love with them more & more by the day and yours is definitely making me want one really bad lol!

      King Judah ... I came from a Trans Am WS6 that was modified. .. you will Love this car. .. not sure what year your SS is, nice cars but this thing is a machine. ..

      King Judah I went from a modded 2010 Camaro SS to a 2016 Z06. Love it. I do get less people wanting to play with me on the road though. The Camaro would get more attention to roll race (in Mexico of course😉). The Z06 is just so fast and handles great.

    Elliott, the clips were magnificent.." You did a great job! Also the filter looks good, let us know how it pans out. "Did I mention how much I love the color of your car? Yeah probably did a thousand times. lol.. I just can't get enough of it. Take care!

      Funny you ask about the filter. I just installed the BMS filter and it does make a difference. I won't say huge as this car is a beast in stock form but you can feel a little more pull, so for just a filter change, I would recommend it. No issues with the stock tune.I may go with a stock ported throttle-body from Tony Mamo. I want to keep the warranty so probably will not do much more than a filter and TB change. BTW- Chevrolet has a photo on their side with my color in the new ZR1....

      Awesome Elliot, thanks for the response on my comment. Far as the warranty you're exactly like me, don't want to void that babe. Car payments are enough and you don't need any more drama with the warranty if you can help it. lol

    Thanks for the new Video! I have to tell you, I've made a few purchases already, and like I said before I'm not pulling the trigger until August/September time frame. Rear hatch and rear plate LED lights, Black out Tail Light covers, Black out side and rear markers, and don't laugh, but Ceramic Brakes. I see guys complaining all the time about the Brake dust the Brembos produce. I'm getting the Black Wheels, so I can't have that. Also I have Black lug nuts for the Black wheels. Wifey keeps telling me "go get the Darn car, you have enough crap already!"
    Thanks for the info on the Air Filter, I too don't plan on doing anything to perhaps void the warranty.

      General Lee ... sounds awesome. .. my wife said the same thing and "go get the car" lol... I did get different brake pads so no dust. You will love this car..

    Anyone know the mod to keep his seatbelt in place behind the shoulder?

    • @elliotsgarage7777
      @elliotsgarage7777  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, there is this company-- Sandyeggo Designs LLC
      www.sandyeggodesigns.com
      They sell a "seatbelt stay" which I have and works excellent. It only costs $10.. check them out. Thank you for your comments..

    Thanks for the radar info. I had a look at the air filter upgrade. Did you install it yourself? I looked at my airbox and it seems difficult to access the air filter. By the way I'm in Northern California (Santa Rosa) .

    • @elliotsgarage7777
      @elliotsgarage7777  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ken Gray .. we're neighbors if you ever come south. I have not installed the filter yet but many say it makes a big difference. There is a video on how to change it on TH-cam and not that hard, just takes some time. Search for C7 air filter change done by the guys selling the "Green" filter. 4 screws, some clips and a couple clamps. Just looks time consuming but easy. Let me know if you are in the area. When I get some time I'll do a video on the filter experience. Thanks

    Is your Escort IX radar detector newer than the Escort 360 Max? I just bought a 360 Max for my 2017 Z06 and I still have time to return it if the IX is better overall. Also, what radar mount are you using? Thanks for the videos.

    • @elliotsgarage7777
      @elliotsgarage7777  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ken Gray ... yes, it is newer than the 360... most of the same features but smaller and lighter. I only set Ka and laser on. I use the new Blendmount made for the magnet attachment.

  • @FaizanMohsin
    @FaizanMohsin 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    How did you have the Radar detector hard wired? and where can I buy those mounts?

    • @elliotsgarage7777
      @elliotsgarage7777  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I purchased the newest Escort Xi that comes with the magnetic mount, then ordered the Blendmount mirror mount for the Xi that has the adapters. I also purchased the "mirror tap" power wire cord connection. I then went to a reputable stereo shop to have them hardwire and they ran a wire from power to the "tap cord" connector that goes to the radar detector. Total for the hardware, Bendmount, tap wire cord and wiring was worth a couple hundred bucks. Just Google Blentmount and select the car model you have. You can also go to Radar Busters website.

    awesome video, will help a lot of new vette owners. All those mods are pretty necessary.
    Also would love to know the hp gain and 1/4 mile gain between 91 and 93 octane on a stock z06.
