The air comment for the seats was a joke but obviously nobody caught it. 😂😂 (Seats are for racing harnesses. I have recaros in my ZL1, and CTSV)

This was exactly what I was looking for to understand the C7 exhaust components. Totally different world from my previous S550 5.0. I had a corsa extreme catback exhaust and I'm looking into exhaust modification ideas for my 14 stingray. Great content! Love the flow and editing and camera work.

Dream about a quality car, instead. I just added a 17 GS Collectors edition. An F-Type R is my daily. The Jag is a several classes up in build quality, sound, performance, handling, everything. No contest. The Grand Sport CE, IMO, is a very poor car. Quality is terrible, but its the spongy steering, putrid auto transmission, and alarming frame shudder that makes it an awful driving car. Shockingly bad coming from an F-Type R, which IMO is a masterpiece, and absurdly faster than the NA Vette. Talking 2-3x faster.

nice vid..i got my 18 gr, sport earlier this year with the autom. transm...THE BEST THING IVE DONE INCL. WHAT U DID..WHICH DID VERY LITTLE..WAS HAVING THE MUFFLERS PROFF. DELLETED..SO MANY MORE POPS N KRACKELLS!!!+ THE BUTTERFLY VALVES ARE STILL HOOKED UP..LOVE IT!!

I've been doing some research as a twenty five year veteran of the california smog program and what you are referring to are not secondary cats they are resonators. And under California smog laws anything after the catalyst converter or cat back system is legal as long as you are retaining the factory post catalyst 02 sensors. Which are for monitoring the catalyst efficiency. If you want I can show you out omitchell smog book. And all data that these are resonators . I know there's a lot of cars that are equipped with them and it's easy to think that they are because they do look like small catalytic. Converters but they are not if you look inside you will not see any honeycombs

Great sound!! I just bought the Corsa Extreme (Dual NPP) axle back to be installed next week. Does it make a difference in sound to replace my stock helix pipe to Corsa X-pipe with my new axle back Corsa exhaust?

So if you put the x-pipe on and it eliminates the secondary cats will that void your warranty? I live in Az and they also do emission testing, i wonder if it would still pass emissions then?
Can you imagine paying top dollar to live in an exclusive neighborhood like that only to live next to the hot rod guy revving up corvettes all day. Might as well be in the hood. 😂😂

Great vid! I installed the Borla X-Pipe but my tuner said they never pick up any horsepower. I would think they would considering the remove the secondary cats. Wish I would have done a dyno before and after.
So straight pipe installed to stock exhaust/mufflers? So what’s the difference in sound in quiet mode before and after install? Would u say the new quiet mode is the stock loud mode (pre xpipe)?
You knocked that out quickly! I have that exact same setup C7Z06 w/Cora 3" Dhelixx... question: if you added long tube headers, would any brand fit or would you need to get corsa long tubes? I am going to get headers very soon and can't find info on TH-cam confirming that I need long tubes and whether or not I can mix and match (thinking kooks long tubes) any help is appreciated!🙏🏽🙏🏽
Most companies you cannot mix and match. I have heard from a guy on here who installed corsa long tubes and immediately removed them and went with ARH. He said he could hear the valve train noise too much due to thin metal in the long tubes. I was surprised by this but that's what he said. I do believe if you go kooks, you must go kooks x pipe.

have you installed the AWE touring or track mufflers with the mid pipe x pipe? Wondering if its any different to just do the x pipe and keep the stock NPP since it has the valves or just go with a aftermarket performance muffler.
Ah yes the famous seat air vents for speed. I also have the steering wheel with multiple air holes in it too, you get way more from that.

Do you hear any SC whine? I've heard conflicted stories as to whether or not you should hear the SC on these cars. I just got one and I can hear mine a lot (much less than say a Hellcat though). What are your thoughts and experience with these? Thanks.
you shouldn't hear a loud whine, if you do you might want to check your drive belt or drive belt tensioner

i added corsa axle back n corsa carbon fiber cold air intake n it felt like a diff car. ive decided to install the double helix x-pipe as well. not sure wats next. im an aircraft mechanic in the US NAVY n no nothing about car mechanics...lol any ideas let me kno

I’m going to get some laughs out of this. I bought my 19 Z06 brand new and at the time nabbed up a brand new Borla X pipe. I’m only adding it this spring. The box still was not opened yet. But finally going to put it on.

You need to remove the fuse so the valves don't close even when "open" as the close a little above 70 mph

For the 2014: fuse 41
For the 2015 - 2018: fuse 42
For the 2019: fuse 87
Wonder if the gain is worth it on a base Z51 other than for better sound of course..
Air flow is air flow. Definitely worth adding it.

Quick question tho? Is there any way to have the z06 always start in loud mode? Or do i have to pull the fuse???
You press and hold the start button to put it in accessory mode, then do through the settings and open the exhaust like you would when the vehicle has been started

Check my Texas speed stage 3 cammed Grandsport with Corsa full exhaust and headers and aventador exhaust tip no mufflers.

Dude. It does make it sound more smooth. But the real goal is to have better scavenging.

Unfortunately the Corsa double helix X pipe is no longer made. Corsa discontinued.
