I follow several guys like you on youtube. Maybe not lots of action, but all like you are gentlemen, even tempered, well spoken, and can deal with a crisis calmly and without anger and vulgarity. Watching all of you just reminds me of how most folks were when i grew up in the 50's. I love the way Bailey stands with one paw on you. Our dog does something similar. Can't imagine how hard it was to get that news and then have to drive 500 miles in the opposite direction. Have a safe trip back and remember, it's just "stuff".
To further elaborate, not all sand is created the same. For example, beach sand is smooth therefore soft and nice to walk in, but not good for concrete. A sand with rough edges and grooves is best to help all the different ingredients of concrete to adhere.

I had a rattlesnake heading towards my house, had to dispatch it. Had a King snake near my garage, relocated it to the woods. They eat rats and mice , and other poisonous snakes.not poisonous.
You need to fit some flappers to your stacks. They may drive you a little crazy with them rattling at cold idle but at least they close off the opening when you shut down. Climbing up a ladder to stick a few cans on top isn't really a good option.

Thank god none was hurt and your animals are ok ….I haven’t been watching for about 3-4 weeks as I have been pounding out the miles and usually binge watch when I am home. Typically home every 10 days. So going hard without a day off other than a reset I was running on recaps a lot. God bless you and Theresa. I feel like we know you guys cause I have been watching for years anyway stay safe out there sir. Hope you and the wife get things back in order at home.
It has been a couple of weeks since your last video, which likely means you are home working to put the pieces back together the storm wrecked. Hopefully that is coming together and all is well. I'm not a trucker but I do enjoy following your travel.

Crazy year. Everywhere I look devastation is going on. My parents just lost their home in Grizzly Flats do to the Caldor Fire, southern Arizona got hammered with Crazy monsoon. East coast is dodging hurricanes. Don't even get me started on the middle east. 😒 we all thought 2020 was a rough year.. well 2021 just said Hold my beer.

Dan, So sorry to have seen some of the damage done to the horse shed, shelter & fence. I pray that Teresa and the house are OK, trucks, cars and tractors can be replaced but partners and fur babies of all sizes are precious. Take care mate.

I lived in Phoenix and know all about those sudden isolated sqwuals . And rain so hard the swimming pool fills as I watch it. Anyway , I enjoy and learn listening to your experiences there. How to negociate loads like securing them etc. If I was to take up CDL driving my large concern is how to park in cobgested truck stops spots next to other rigs like threading a needle. The rest It seens like common sense, plan it out, use a paper Thomas guide to know routes, etc abs beware of certain hazards like Low bridges.
in El Paso, we lived in a new suburb that was right on the edge of the desert. actually our backyard "was" the desert. we'd have those flash storms too. we kids were told not to play in the water in the gutters as the rain would wash rattlesnakes, from the desert down these gutters. never saw one in the gutters, but seen them out in the desert when we went climbing the Franklin Mtns. they was big suckers and we stayed clear of them :)

hi Dan, i remembered one yr, a bunch of us drivers on the 4th, partied so bad, we waited for the drivers to go inside, we put our empty bear an soda cans down the stacks. in the mourning every one started up and all these cans flew out every where. it was hilarious.. yes we all cleaned up the parking lot.. Great times int he 80s..
