Stevie’s strumming in this song is so good. To all those uneducated critics of SRV who say he’s a clone of Hendrix, this song is proof that he has a unique style that is all his own.

Sadly I was at Stevie Ray Vaughn's last concert the night his helicopter crashed after the show at Alpine Valley, Wisconsin August 26th 1990. The next day when I heard the horrible news was one of the saddest days of my life. The lineup was SRV, Eric Clapton, Robert Cray and Buddy Guy. RIP SRV!🎸

Stevie was so gifted and skilled. His sense of feel plus the ease and coolness of his persona were off the charts. He got clean and sober and was in total command of his craft.
I grew up in the 70’s & 80’s and idolized all the guitar greats like Page, Beck, Clapton, Billy Gibbons, etc. SRV is in the club!

Back in the late 90's I got to sit with WC, and an old groupie from the 70's scene in Austin, during a set break of a show that he did in a little underground club in Santa Barbara. It was so cool to hear them reminisce about those days and Stevie, and talk about him coming over "to the house," jamming, partying. Can you imagine? Anyhow, a really cool and friendly guy, and a very talented guitarist in his own right.
