Seeing concerned Kyloe watching Hamish reminds me how humans need to give animals more respect. They have feelings too, they love, hurt and worry. We need more people like these ones in the world, 💕
YOU, are correct we do need more PEOPLE to show concern/respect for EACH other. These are animals, they go to heaven or he'll. They don't share feelings LIKE humans. So your feelings are misguided. So more compassion for HUMANS and you maybe better off!! Idiots

The gentle and loving care shown for Hamish, and Hamish, though a bit stressed is really gentle and you can see that in his demeanor. I love the loving trust on both sides here.
These are big beautiful animals. Holy moly!! Yes. They are very trustworthy of you guys. A little bit restless about the procedure but that beast was comfortable with it.
A very kind and caring doctor, and all these guys that this strong, big, beautiful animal knows. .he trust them. He doesnt like the procedure but he loves the people. Its wonderful to feel loved like that. I know about that because I feed wildbirds, racoons and deer, lol..That man has a heart bigger than Texas and his pets are too...lol...love yall, and God Bless.
What a delightful bull. He perked up when the vet showed up, what a cute sweet face! I loved that his brother stood carefully watching and never got the least bit agitated. Are most Highland cattle this easy to get along with and gentle?
Its good to see the other side of dealing with such big animals , most of us city ppl think its all about hair brushing and cuddling with those 2 . Great job done and video !
Always better to witness human efforts at healing as opposed to killing. Both you and Hamish, as too, Kyloe (sp?) are so blessed to have each other. Hugs to all from those far away who care.
The strength and power Hamish has is phenomenal. Marc literally gets to sit with him whenever and is happy in his presence. Kyloe calmly watching but also like a nervous family member hoping one of their loved ones is going to be ok was so heartwarming too. ❤
I am not bull expert, owned horses, but know that one can not control an animal of that size by holding onto the horns. Their necks are too strong. He was letting you do that, not the other way around.
@@ab5441 I considered that but the size of Hamish would not even allow for that, Hamish is allowing those men to hold him in that manner. Thanks to his domestication. The only thing that may help is a nose ring but I would not allow one of those thing to be installed. Hamish is a lovely gentle bull, I would have had him sedated more but maybe there was a reason the vet did not do that.
He is one strong dude. I get the feeling that if he really wants to hurt you, ............the only way to stop him would be to put him down permanently. There is a lot of strength in that neck. I'm glad the vet and everyone else are so calm and understanding.
I thought that it was quaint how you guys thought that you were holding him. Poor Hamish, good soul that he is, just didn;t have the heart to embarrass y'all.
Wish we could send you a Made in Montana squeeze chute which we use on our Highlands-it is made so that their horns fit. We have used it for 20 years for not only vet care, but loading stock into trailers. Just contributed to your GoFund page-you are doing good works!
I need to bring that bull to the dentist next time & tell both the hygienist & the dentist "Don't worry he will just be watching, as long as you aren't hurting me he will be fine..."

There are actually lots of Highland cattle in Australia... you just have to ask around...And the famous Hamish in Callander unfortunately passed away a few years ago at the age of 22.
@@HamishandKyloe Aww that's so sad he passed away, he was really beautiful a real gentle soul, I didn't realise it's been that long since we seen him 18 years ago. Thank You for the information I hope to see one again but nothing beats the lovely country site over in the UK.
I would have liked some narrative, maybe at the end, explaining what lumpy jaw is and what treatment you used on him, plz . It's a suggestion you might consider in interests of educating your audience.
Lump jaw is an infection in the mouth usually caused by some sharp object peircing the skin and the bacteria present in the mouth causing an infection. Usually antibiotics does not cure it it needs to be lanced, drained and flushed with 7 % iodine solution . There is a less common cause which is causedby a bone infection or cancer.
Kylo checks out the vets butt when she walks by 😁. What an amazing vet to know how to treat Highland cows. My vet looked confused when I took a chicken in.
Kyloe was there the whole time all through the treatment giving emotional support. What a great buddy!
Hamish seems like a good-natured guy, even when he's in pain. ❤️
What a gorgeous animal. Thank you for taking care of him.
These two are so gorgeous and such gentle souls. What a privilege to have them in your life. They are so well behaved.
Well behaved sometimes. You need to watch the video when they decided to stroll through the neighborhood...

The holding the horns looks like its just to prevent fidgeting and make the job easier. You could not do anything unless the animal isnt already calm.
