Hamish is fabulous. I love cows; I stopped eating them after I took up photography and spent time photographing animals. They play, they have their own bit of humour and they cry from fear and sorrow.

I have just found this site and I greatly enjoy each and every video. What majestic animals. Leaning so much. Having worked in medicine for my career and seeing how much, too much meat people eat, often two and three times a day with heart disease, liver disease, and even kidney disease. I don't ask people not to eat meat, but the protein load in large meat consumption is hard on the liver, then there are the fats which everyone has heard about. Moderation. What I like about Asian cooking is a little meat goes a long way with all the flavor. And getting protein from multiple sources is, many expects say, healthier.
When I was a teenager I used to help look after about 40 young bulls grown for beef on my father's farm. In winter we kept them inside in a large covered shed called a 'fold yard'. We used to put straw bedding in for them to lay on about once a week in the form of large round bales like that one that Hamish is pushing about. As you can imagine walking among 40 young bulls weighing near on half a ton each with 4 or 5 large round bales being shoved around all doing exactly what Hamish is doing including the frisky kicking and head tossing in a confined space was interesting to say the least.
He doesn't want a spray and comb out, he wants hay extensions!
