It's good to see more and more people start to understand AP vs DC. It's really common for people to try applying the outlier argument or being confused with how it compares with other feats because of how they're portrayed. Because of that, it's interesting for anyone who doesn't know that distinction very well. Good shit.
I think the more you explain it there it honestly doesn’t make sense and I feel like people wont admit that because they feel it will invalidate their argument.
Destructive feats mean absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of actual fights, sins. Characters can actually do far greater ones, then Dragonball z that doesn’t need energy blast. Not to mention that most of the actual fields are just pointing out, destroying the planet, cause, and leaving the planet before blows, but not actually wiping the planet out.
Powerscaling AP can be difficult within certain series, bleach is probably the best example, where characters display a notable change in their attack potency without showing a display of increased destructive capability. I would say the best example of this is bleach where characters get multiple times stronger to damage an opponent without showing a feat of destructive capability
The AP vs DC section was very insightful. I watch a lot of powerscaling so I had a speculation that what you said was true but I needed to make sure. Thank you so much.
I consider you and Seth the programmer as one of the best power scaling youtubers I've seen due to how knowledgable you too are on the subject. Thanks for the video, as before viewing it I didn't know the differences between AP and DC (I knew there were differences, I just didn't know what those differences entailed).
One more thing to point Out is to consider for DC if the character at will can manipulate his DC without lowering attack pottency but showed he has a similar DC level as his AP if he isn't reducing it at will. As that would be a Hax or characteristic of the Character instead of a difference between both aspects
Like I keep saying: who would you choose to be: a sniper or a demolitionist. Someone who oneshots enemies, or someone who blows up environments? Single-target vs AoE?
Thats video was actually nice and explains very well AP and DC You could have also talked as to how creation feats work since not a lot of people understands it from what i've seen Continue on the great work
I'm personally hoping for a durability video or something in the future because that can have some debates that personally make no sense. Like how Frieza can destroy a planet but can get taken out by basically a regular Destructo-Disk and I don't believe that those can destroy a planet.
Such a video has crossed my mind and I definitely plan on talking about it relatively soon. Also what you're describing is what we call "by-passing conventional durability" or "durability negation." In other words, it's more about cutting through things or ignoring the durability of others rather than just pure destruction and blowing shit up.
@@surfbone Reminds me of how wonder woman could probably survive being thrown from the moon but she can be easily hurt by bullets which is why she's so good at blocking them
Frieza is in no way, shape, or form a Glass Cannon, as Frieza had survived a countless number of attacks from the Z-Fighters that would have instantly defeated Great Ape Vegeta from the Saiyan Saga and completely and utterly destroyed the Planet Earth's Solar System too.
Many ppl doesnt understand this Difference & make weird claims like for an example "look X character didnt bust a star so he isnt star lvl" They dont know that U dont need to destroy a star on screen always to be star level Also they dont understand AoE If a character's strongest destroy a Star they say he is only star lvl while he have other better scalings & he can do more but His attack restricts to an area of effect So good Job making this video
This is a bit late but you’re so right. This stuff is common in naruto powerscaling since naruto is more focused on ap than dc due to the story taking place on one planet so it’s not like their powers are written to be able to directly destroy earth. So it’s common for people to say “this character isn’t planetary, when did they destroy a planet”
@@reddotsxul8166 yeah naruto, bleach & dragon ball maybe even one piece have more ap stuffs currently than dc Naruto being not planetary in 2021 sounds really caveman logic Personally I think he is even beyond normal planetary
Under this logic what would be the AP of an avada kadavra spell (who can kill any living thing) or a lightsaber (whi call kill even the son in star wars?)
One of the problems with diferentiating between "attack potency" and "destructive capacity" is that energy bleeds into the environment when you do any action thats how physics work, is like the billiard balls or a Newtons cradle, you hit one and the energy gets transfered to the next one and the next one and so forth In our daily lives we don't notice that because, well, there is no one irl that can punch with enough power to destroy an entire house let alone a planet, but logic says that all that energy would bleed regardless into the environment that sorrounds the characters, like if they are touching the ground Newtons third law would dictate that they get thrown against it because of the energy, and that energy would bleed into the ground and the sorroundings So if you have a pair of characters that can destroy a whole planet by throwing a punch (that btw it's stupidly ridículous and usually makes no fucking sence, to destroy a planet you need to surpass it's gravitational binding energy that in the case of a planet the size of earth is basically the amount of energy liberated by the sun, the whole sun, in a period of half a month, with that amount of energy concentrated in a body the size of a human you would become a black hole and aside from all the implications of that i just feel that most if not all writers that pull such stunts are completly clueless of that fact, they just think that making your characters destroy a planet is cool and completly forget to make the requiered investigation since even a basic Google search that takes 10 seconds can show you just how fucking stupid and world changing having such a power is to a fundamental level) Anyways as i was saying if you have a pair of characters that can somehow punch soo hard that they can destroy a whole fucking planet then you have the situation that if they punch each other then the energy that bleeds into the environment would still be enough to at the very shatter a continent, as i say the energies involved in planet busting are soo insane (2x10³² joules or energy, or a 2 followed by 32 zeroes, probably a little more) that justbthe fact of exchanging punches would kill all life on the surface easily unless the fighters are somehow able to either absorb all that energy into their bodies perfectly or completly nullify it, because even just 0.1% of that energy is enough to cause a lot of damage The same with any other power, like Superman heat visión if it's trully as strong as some people claim it it then it should burn the entire atmosphere each time he used it seriously because that amount of heat has to go somewhere and that usually means bleeding into the environment
Well obviously fiction ignores specific the law that states any form of energy output will effect its environment and any law fiction blatently ignores is a law we also ignore when having powerscaling discussion about said fiction story.
@@joyboy2413 but that usually doesnt happens, like if we ignore Newtons law of movement then we can't use the popular argument of "well X character can punch and blow a planet appart which means that he needs to have planetary durability because of Newtons laws" and that is something that even this vídeo mentions If you ignore some laws of physics then entire arguments fall apart
@@carso1500 Well certain laws apply whilst others just don't, that's just the way the laws of fiction work, fiction isn't grounded within the believeability which the real world holds, fiction is only loosely based within the laws of physics so because of that it's a given that fiction stays true to some laws whilst competely ignoring or altering others
@@joyboy2413 it's still pretty stupid to take certain laws into consideration and ignore others We can't just assume that law A applies but law B doesn't The only way to actually prove that a character is as durable as their attack is to use feats and statements given within their universe Like in DBZ it was stated and shown multi times that a character is as durable as their attack But in Naruto mountain buster characters casually get pierced by blades and it was even stated by a character that their would've killed them if they weren't basically a regenerating zombie
@@teezus2036 It's stupid when using OUR reality, because obviously in our reality you can't expect something to function if you only account some laws whilst completely ignoring others but in a fictional verse that isn't grounded in our reality no.
If you're referring to the AP/DC Tiering System, don't worry, that video is scheduled to come out fairly soon (in terms of what will be uploaded next). Once you see a video going over Combat Speed vs Travel Speed vs Reaction Speed, just know to expect the Tiering System video will be coming out next!
6:11 can someone explain to me how exactly it comes, that 2.67 gram per cubic centimeter require 19.000 pounds of pressure to break? I'd like to do something like that for another material but I don't know how I have to calculate that.
I was in a debate which ended in a draw. I mentioned that AP=Durability of said person and he said to prove it which I thought was an assumed thing. And I used Newton 3rd law to try prove it. But the person said prove it works in the verse. So my question is how would I prove it in a debate
You would always assume that AP = Durability (Newton's 3rd Law) applies within a verse unless proven otherwise. To assume otherwise without evidence requires a greater amount of assumptions to be made (look up Occam's Razor). Basically, it's his burden to prove that it doesn't work that way.
Thank you for clearing this up- Someone said Naruto is low balled to Solar system level because he damaged Kaguya which apparently she's as durable as a star
Nice video. This point applies so much for those that used to say Cell couldn't destroy the solar system using excuses. It was never implied he was going to destroy the solar system (DC) but rather he gathered enough ki equivalent to destroying the solar system and then some...(AP)
the explanation can be much simpler and do away with DC completely, AP is the amount of energy one can exert in a single attack, AoE is the area they cna affect or how far they can project their energy, DC is just whichever of those two previous are smaller
In yuyu hakusho kuwabara with his dimension sword can basically cut anything including dimensions and hyperspace would that scale to his attack potency?
First 👌 Yeah even tho VBW sorta explains it this is needed cuz some people are either ignorant and don’t understand the difference or are stubborn so they deny it’s a thing calling it is a bs excuse lol Damn that’s a clean and epic animation
The 3rd law reasoning doesn't really hold water I feel, most of the time people don't write with laws of physics in mind beyond what is engrained as common sense (Ie people can't fly for 0 reason). However, I feel like the "AP is equal to durability unless demonstrated otherwise" is a fair assumption to make, since most characters can take the amount of punishment they can give. Not very useful to be planet level in your attacks but still be only human in durability. A notable example of an exception to the rule is Homeless Emperor.
Quick question I got into an argument on Twitter..... Does Creating = Destruction..... Like does the ability to create something equal there ability to destroy something. I believe they aren't equivalent but this guy is claiming they are. Whats your opinion?

1:25 this is a logical fallacy Or maybe a should say it's not specific enough (or even inherently true) but a more specific and accurately the BODY PART that launched the attack should be capable of withstanding the attack. IE a boxers fist>wrist>elbow>shoulder, it should not be foreign or a surprise that a body has differing levels of durability depending on the bodypart. A 6 foot drop onto your feet will have a completely different effect than the same drop onto your head
How are you gonna say that what I said was a “logical fallacy” (which you never actually specify which one) then say I was technically correct. Yeah. Striking strength is pretty much the epitome of F=MA. The power of a strike is all dependent on the strike’s total mass + the speed it’s moving at, assuming the attacker isn’t holding back.
@@CataclysmicDoge But if a character is slow and still hits more physically better and stronger than another character whos faster and has better combat, how do u explain that? Im a new powerscaler
@@FaxerYT Being faster in terms of movement doesn’t really correlate to a character’s striking strength. What I said above is kinda misleading since I’m getting the impression that you’re thinking real-world physics has to apply to fiction, which it doesn’t most of the time, but oh well. To answer your question, a character who is “slow” movement wise can still have more power in their striking strength than a character who is faster than them. It all really depends on the striking’s energy output.
If you can punch and kill for example Roshi from og dragonball and (as is nearly universaly the case in dragon ball) he is as durable as his attacks are powerful. Then the force of my punch is equal to the force that destroys earths moon. If you punch a bed that makes contact with a wall in the opposite end with to you with enough force that it would move it the wall would be exposed the force you put on the bed - any energy losses from things compressing in the bed and heat. In the Roshi attacking the moon there would be about the same energy losses as if i punched the moon except probably even more heat generation. If i punch the moon the force would spread as the parts of the moon push against echother the same way it did when Roshi destroyed it and with enough force to destroy it and it would be destroyed. I have heard people argue that planet buster busters can't bust planets before and that legends darth has planet busting power but not the range or of effect despite being able to exert his full power in close range and thus force push the ground imidiatly beneath himself and lett the laws of motion do it for him. How does planet busting power not being planet busting work unless it's some kind of drilling attack like a laser or special beam canon?
@@calvinsling9859 It depends on the attack. For example let’s take a ki blast and crossbow arrow and say you have to fire them. Let’s say the ki blast is set to explode but the arrow remains an arrow, both of their targets are mountain. The ki blast blows up the mountain and the arrow blasts right threw decimating the mountain. Here’s where Newton’s 3rd law comes into play. With the arrow your durability would scale directly with your AP because you directly withstood the force that was generated in order to fire that arrow and destroy the mountain. With the ki blast on the other hand, Newton’s 3rd law would scale your durability to the force you used to fire the ki blast, but it cannot scale you to the explosion that destroyed the mountain, because it’s the explosion that did all the work, not the force the ki blast was fired with. So if a character uses a ranged attack that explodes (like the ki blast in this example) keep that in mind. Did this help?
1:15 the appeal to netwon's third law seems inappropriate. Take Goku releasing a kamehameha mid-air for example. 1-force is coming out of his hands towards his enemy, so -according to newton's 3rd law- there is an equal force pushing back on Goku.(which provides the durabilty feat) 2-ok, why doesn't goku fly back then? ( the same way recoil would push you back a lil). So now you have to posit a NEW unexplained force that counteracts the recoil from the kamehameha which is equal to the Kamehameha in force. 3-But wait, this new force there has an equal and opposite reaction. So this new force basically generates another kamehameha shooting in the opposite direction of the original one. clearly, goku can shoot a kamehameha mid air without shooting another out of his ass. Thus, the third law doesn't hold. Also if you really wanna stick with the third however you may justify it. The third also means that Goku releasing a kamehameha mid air without being sent flying back means that goku can tank TWO Kamehamehas coming from his front and back.

Well, I made a character with explosive punches that grow stronger and bigger the stronger the impact of the initial attack was with no potential limit to that, so yeah, it's definitely possible.
Why is it called a tag policy and not kinetic transference since you would have to calculate the actual impact and the radius of expenditure of the radiating joules of energy impacts don’t correlate to position they correlate on impact upon pounds per square inch of the object, delivering the energy. Leaving it sounding like it’s talking about a sword sting rather than calculations over how potentially damaging a strike is. Not to mention the after affects that could actually temporarily affect the person from the energy transferred. And don’t get me started on weight class since literally destroyed most characters in how painfully they just get destroyed with heavier characters.

Shouldn't Planetary AP = Capable of destroying anything with Planter DURABILITY not Planet DC? Cause the Durability of a character is not automatically the same as uts AP. If i kill a monkey who has a laser who can blow up the moon, does that mean i am moon AP? I dont think so. I would be AP+ what a regular monkey Durability is (Skin level?"
If you’re talking about the planetary Trump example used in the video then the reason why harming a character who can destroy planets would also scale you to their attack potency is because the character who is able to destroy planets are able to withstand the energy levels that they are producing to destroy planets. That means Trump, who can physically destroy planets in the example, also has planetary durability because his body can take the energy he’s generating. That also means that you harming the monkey with the Moon+ level laser means you’re Moon+ level as well because that monkey’s body is able to withstand the energy produced by the moon-destroying laser, assuming the monkey is doing it physically and not through some weapon and whatnot. And since you’re able to harm said monkey yourself, your AP scales to its durability.
Striking strength-how powerful your punches are Lifting strength-how much you can lift But i've seen in some wis(who is stronger) edits, esspeally scream ones, people also use physical strength so whats that?
Physical strength supports lifting strength. Imo it’s just another way to say lifting strength, so don’t overthink the two things since there isn’t much to differentiate on a broad spectrum.
How so??? AP can be scaled off of DC because like, with DC, you’re still generating energy just like AP. So if a character were to destroy a continent, then they’d have both continental DC and AP. It’s just that they also have the AoE to affect that much distance, while generating the energy needed to destroy the whole continent. Also AP isn’t directly scaled off of DC. You can scale a character’s attack potency through other means, like the good ol fashion of them damaging/hurting another character who reaches a level of durability. Ex: A kicks B hard enough to injure B. B has 6-A level durability, so A’s ovr. AP is 6-A without being on that tier of destructive force.
TLDW Say you have 2 characters Character A can punch with enough power to destroy a universe and character B can raise the temperature of a universe by 1-degree Character B can Affect an entire universe but he can not destroy it (I think I don't know what raising the temperature of the universe by 1 would do) but if character A punches a planet he won't destroy the universe (cus space is a vacuum) but he has the strength to do so. This is an explanation I came up with on a comment when someone was saying the infinite gauntlet was only universal correct me if I got something wrong
@@justdrawing231 for once if someone where to have the power to literaly punch the universe away it would transform into a black hole, a really big one and probably consume the universe, this is because all that energy concentrated into a body the size of a human (or close to it) would surpass the schwarzschild radius and transform into a black hole once again The amounts of energy involved for such an action are stupid, something like 1.5x10⁷⁹ that is a 1.5 followed by 79 zeroes) the amount of energy requiered for such and action would probably cause a lot of damage because it would get liberated pretty violently into the sorroundings following Newtons third law Thats if we follow real life physics, simply speaking one can't have the "strength" to destroy the universe because striking potential isnt even determined by the size of your muscles but by your mass and your speed, the more masive you are and the faster you move the stronger you hit Of course we follow fiction, but there are a lot of logical problems that come from having a character that can "destroy the universe" by throwing punches
@@carso1500 well obviously it wouldn't work IRL but I was giving a simple example to give people an idea of the difference between attack potency and range

@@surfbone how about jump force goku, since he scales to Prometheus? And Prometheus sees the real world and all of shounen jump, so would he be outer or boundless?
It means a character Is very powerful or strong but their durability doesn't match their power or strong for a example Scarlet Witch is very powerful but has the durability of a normal human meaning if someone shot her in the head when her guard is down it kill her like anyone else
I still don't get the difference between AP and DC. They sound like the same thing. Unless DC is just the max output and AP is just whatever you're holding back to? But then AP doesn't tell you anything about the character because they might always be holding back more.
How about this? An example of DC: Character A uses an energy blast which causes the destruction of an Earth-sized planet, which is planetary An example of AP: Character B strikes Character C whose durability scales to the Tsar Bomba. B’s attack injures Character C with this attack. This means that Character B’s AP scales to city level because the energy output of his attack was able to match the power of the Tsar Bomba BUT WITHOUT creating the amount of destruction that the Tsar Bomba could do. DC is how much a character’s attack can destroy. AP is how much energy is released from a character’s attack without igniting any kind of collateral damage.

Do you think a light weight in boxing can hit harder than a heavyweight? No, maybe there's a reason why they invented weight categories. Some people should stop crying if Superman lift more weights than Goku. Who care? They not exist, i can now invent an invincible character...bother you in some way? Plus, those images of Superman pushing all those planets aren't canon, because Clark's original creators stopped working in 1950 and sold Superman to DC, which created stories where his strength was never consistent, like DBS.
I'd imagine a "powerscaling 201" would delve more into complicated subjects within powerscaling debates itself. Maybe talking about certain logical fallacies like the no limits fallacy. Or maybe talking about viewer inference vs author intention when it comes to powerscaling and statements

So good Job making this video
This is a bit late but you’re so right. This stuff is common in naruto powerscaling since naruto is more focused on ap than dc due to the story taking place on one planet so it’s not like their powers are written to be able to directly destroy earth. So it’s common for people to say “this character isn’t planetary, when did they destroy a planet”
@@reddotsxul8166 yeah naruto, bleach & dragon ball maybe even one piece have more ap stuffs currently than dc

This video was awesome I hardly understood this kinda stuff
One of the problems with diferentiating between "attack potency" and "destructive capacity" is that energy bleeds into the environment when you do any action thats how physics work, is like the billiard balls or a Newtons cradle, you hit one and the energy gets transfered to the next one and the next one and so forth
In our daily lives we don't notice that because, well, there is no one irl that can punch with enough power to destroy an entire house let alone a planet, but logic says that all that energy would bleed regardless into the environment that sorrounds the characters, like if they are touching the ground Newtons third law would dictate that they get thrown against it because of the energy, and that energy would bleed into the ground and the sorroundings
So if you have a pair of characters that can destroy a whole planet by throwing a punch (that btw it's stupidly ridículous and usually makes no fucking sence, to destroy a planet you need to surpass it's gravitational binding energy that in the case of a planet the size of earth is basically the amount of energy liberated by the sun, the whole sun, in a period of half a month, with that amount of energy concentrated in a body the size of a human you would become a black hole and aside from all the implications of that i just feel that most if not all writers that pull such stunts are completly clueless of that fact, they just think that making your characters destroy a planet is cool and completly forget to make the requiered investigation since even a basic Google search that takes 10 seconds can show you just how fucking stupid and world changing having such a power is to a fundamental level)
Anyways as i was saying if you have a pair of characters that can somehow punch soo hard that they can destroy a whole fucking planet then you have the situation that if they punch each other then the energy that bleeds into the environment would still be enough to at the very shatter a continent, as i say the energies involved in planet busting are soo insane (2x10³² joules or energy, or a 2 followed by 32 zeroes, probably a little more) that justbthe fact of exchanging punches would kill all life on the surface easily unless the fighters are somehow able to either absorb all that energy into their bodies perfectly or completly nullify it, because even just 0.1% of that energy is enough to cause a lot of damage
The same with any other power, like Superman heat visión if it's trully as strong as some people claim it it then it should burn the entire atmosphere each time he used it seriously because that amount of heat has to go somewhere and that usually means bleeding into the environment
Well obviously fiction ignores specific the law that states any form of energy output will effect its environment and any law fiction blatently ignores is a law we also ignore when having powerscaling discussion about said fiction story.
@@joyboy2413 but that usually doesnt happens, like if we ignore Newtons law of movement then we can't use the popular argument of "well X character can punch and blow a planet appart which means that he needs to have planetary durability because of Newtons laws" and that is something that even this vídeo mentions
If you ignore some laws of physics then entire arguments fall apart
@@carso1500 Well certain laws apply whilst others just don't, that's just the way the laws of fiction work, fiction isn't grounded within the believeability which the real world holds, fiction is only loosely based within the laws of physics so because of that it's a given that fiction stays true to some laws whilst competely ignoring or altering others
@@joyboy2413 it's still pretty stupid to take certain laws into consideration and ignore others
We can't just assume that law A applies but law B doesn't
The only way to actually prove that a character is as durable as their attack is to use feats and statements given within their universe
Like in DBZ it was stated and shown multi times that a character is as durable as their attack
But in Naruto mountain buster characters casually get pierced by blades and it was even stated by a character that their would've killed them if they weren't basically a regenerating zombie
@@teezus2036 It's stupid when using OUR reality, because obviously in our reality you can't expect something to function if you only account some laws whilst completely ignoring others but in a fictional verse that isn't grounded in our reality no.

I find more interesting this that my online lesson literally right now lol
I was in a debate which ended in a draw. I mentioned that AP=Durability of said person and he said to prove it which I thought was an assumed thing. And I used Newton 3rd law to try prove it. But the person said prove it works in the verse. So my question is how would I prove it in a debate
You would always assume that AP = Durability (Newton's 3rd Law) applies within a verse unless proven otherwise. To assume otherwise without evidence requires a greater amount of assumptions to be made (look up Occam's Razor). Basically, it's his burden to prove that it doesn't work that way.
Intro 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for clearing this up-
Someone said Naruto is low balled to Solar system level because he damaged Kaguya which apparently she's as durable as a star
Holy crap that intro
Nice video. This point applies so much for those that used to say Cell couldn't destroy the solar system using excuses. It was never implied he was going to destroy the solar system (DC) but rather he gathered enough ki equivalent to destroying the solar system and then some...(AP)
Guides confirm it and games even show cell destroying the solar system if he bets gohan
the explanation can be much simpler and do away with DC completely, AP is the amount of energy one can exert in a single attack, AoE is the area they cna affect or how far they can project their energy, DC is just whichever of those two previous are smaller
In yuyu hakusho kuwabara with his dimension sword can basically cut anything including dimensions and hyperspace would that scale to his attack potency?
My dumbass though dc meant "direct combat"

Yeah even tho VBW sorta explains it this is needed cuz some people are either ignorant and don’t understand the difference or are stubborn so they deny it’s a thing calling it is a bs excuse lol
Damn that’s a clean and epic animation

I plan on making a Dimensional Tiering vid soon, so I'll better elaborate that in that video.
5:16 I see
1:25 this is a logical fallacy
Or maybe a should say it's not specific enough (or even inherently true) but a more specific and accurately the BODY PART that launched the attack should be capable of withstanding the attack.
Sure what you said is true, but that explanation is not necessary when talking about fiction. Hello, does striking strength always depend on the speed of impact?
Yes
Yeah.
Striking strength is pretty much the epitome of F=MA.
The power of a strike is all dependent on the strike’s total mass + the speed it’s moving at, assuming the attacker isn’t holding back.
@@CataclysmicDoge
But if a character is slow and still hits more physically better and stronger than another character whos faster and has better combat, how do u explain that?
Im a new powerscaler
@@FaxerYT Being faster in terms of movement doesn’t really correlate to a character’s striking strength.
What I said above is kinda misleading since I’m getting the impression that you’re thinking real-world physics has to apply to fiction, which it doesn’t most of the time, but oh well.
To answer your question, a character who is “slow” movement wise can still have more power in their striking strength than a character who is faster than them. It all really depends on the striking’s energy output.
@@CataclysmicDoge there's no such rule in scaling, that says physics can't be used
If you can punch and kill for example Roshi from og dragonball and (as is nearly universaly the case in dragon ball) he is as durable as his attacks are powerful.
Unless of course the laws of motion are entirely different in that universe which makes sense in very few universe's.
Will this affect the dimensional scaling too so if im able to harm planet level thing will i be planetary? Thank you surfbone

Ok I have a question, shouldn’t dura=ap, but rather dura=striking strength?
No because, being durable doesn’t mean you can hit hard.
@@princelamar1735 what? I am referring to ss being dura via Newton’s 3rd law instead of ap hopefully that makes more sense
@@calvinsling9859 Oh now I get ya. Yeah your durability should be equal to both your AP and striking strength due to Newton’s 3’rd law.
@@princelamar1735 should it be just ss tho because ap can refer to like ki attacks etc ss should be what dura is actually equal to
@@calvinsling9859 It depends on the attack.
1:15
the appeal to netwon's third law seems inappropriate. Take Goku releasing a kamehameha mid-air for example.
1-force is coming out of his hands towards his enemy, so -according to newton's 3rd law- there is an equal force pushing back on Goku.(which provides the durabilty feat)
2-ok, why doesn't goku fly back then?

And since you’re able to harm said monkey yourself, your AP scales to its durability.
so a good ex would be goku is plantary ap THANK YOU BRO NOW I UNDER STAND WHAT AP AND DC MEAN
Striking strength-how powerful your punches are
Lifting strength-how much you can lift
But i've seen in some wis(who is stronger) edits, esspeally scream ones, people also use physical strength so whats that?
Physical strength supports lifting strength. Imo it’s just another way to say lifting strength, so don’t overthink the two things since there isn’t much to differentiate on a broad spectrum.
Is there really a difference, though? Ap is directly scaled off of dc, which seems a bit fallacious to me.
TLDW
Say you have 2 characters Character A can punch with enough power to destroy a universe and character B can raise the temperature of a universe by 1-degree Character B can Affect an entire universe but he can not destroy it (I think I don't know what raising the temperature of the universe by 1 would do) but if character A punches a planet he won't destroy the universe (cus space is a vacuum) but he has the strength to do so.
This is an explanation I came up with on a comment when someone was saying the infinite gauntlet was only universal correct me if I got something wrong
Thats... Not how physics work
@@carso1500 what did i get wrong?
@@justdrawing231 for once if someone where to have the power to literaly punch the universe away it would transform into a black hole, a really big one and probably consume the universe, this is because all that energy concentrated into a body the size of a human (or close to it) would surpass the schwarzschild radius and transform into a black hole once again
The amounts of energy involved for such an action are stupid, something like 1.5x10⁷⁹ that is a 1.5 followed by 79 zeroes) the amount of energy requiered for such and action would probably cause a lot of damage because it would get liberated pretty violently into the sorroundings following Newtons third law
Thats if we follow real life physics, simply speaking one can't have the "strength" to destroy the universe because striking potential isnt even determined by the size of your muscles but by your mass and your speed, the more masive you are and the faster you move the stronger you hit
Of course we follow fiction, but there are a lot of logical problems that come from having a character that can "destroy the universe" by throwing punches

What's a glass cannon
It means a character Is very powerful or strong but their durability doesn't match their power or strong for a example
Scarlet Witch is very powerful but has the durability of a normal human meaning if someone shot her in the head when her guard is down it kill her like anyone else
Unless explicitly shown a charachter is not a glass canon
I still don't get the difference between AP and DC. They sound like the same thing. Unless DC is just the max output and AP is just whatever you're holding back to? But then AP doesn't tell you anything about the character because they might always be holding back more.
How about this?
An example of DC:
Character A uses an energy blast which causes the destruction of an Earth-sized planet, which is planetary
An example of AP:
Character B strikes Character C whose durability scales to the Tsar Bomba.

@@SquallTheBlade Look dude, if you actually wanna have a discussion about this, feel free to join my Discord and tag me or my bud Hashi. Otherwise I’m not gonna have a Bible exchange in a TH-cam comment section Lol
@@surfbone It wouldnt be that hard to accept that your premise is flawed

@@surfbone The concept
@@jaredbowen3527 I don't think Seth invented the concept of animated collab intros my guy Lol
@@surfbone ok tell me where you got this idea from
@@jaredbowen3527 It was not just Seth, several other anime channels on TH-cam have there own animated intros and I thought it would be cool to have one of my own with Noodles since we plan on doing more collabs in the future.
