Anyone shopping for Zeiss Conquest binoculars owes it to themselves to google search “Zeiss conquest eye cup issues forums”. The eye cups are atrocious, a true design flaw. Mine broke, everyone’s breaks.
@@sandysorlien6688 Glad you're getting a new one. They did for me, too, Sandy. And then the new one will be so thin and fragile that you'll be afraid to put it up and down. Once the Conquest model is modified/no longer made (and past the 7 year legal stretch that manufacturers must supply parts), we will no longer be able to find eyecups, so we can junk our expensive binoculars. I was lifelong Zeiss only (own probably 6 pairs of Zeiss), but in future I am going to Swarovski since they use 100% metal eyecups.
Mentioning German glass or German made does nothing for me. The real testimonial for how good they are, or what problems they’ve had comes from reading the reviews on various market websites.
lol you drop em break em and you think they're gonna replace them. Lol not how a manufacturing warrenty works mate. I'm not saying Zeiss won't fix/replace them but it wouldn't be free of charge no questions asked. "Hi Zeiss I accidentally ran my $1000 pair of binoculars over can you please give me a new pair?"
