    I was always hesitant about zeiss because I talked to several optic dealers and they said that they see more zeiss come through the shop to be fixed than Leice or Swaros. However, Zeiss might have a different mindset now...it use to be about 8-10 years ago they had the mindset of "We are going to make the best binos on the planet and we do not care how much it cost" then I think different management took over with the mindset "we are going to make a really good pair of binos at this price point

    All 3 are top brands
    I own leica/Swarovski ..
    But the Zeiss HT did seem to have a very slight edge over the other 2 but it's not a noticeable just self preference..
    Any of the 3 binoculars that are shown are all excellent build and image quality..
    I'm a leica fan boy due to the camera system so I went down that route..

    The Nikon does not have 95% true light transmission. The engineers at Zeiss in Germany are the first to come up with a true ocular to objective light transmission tester. Other brands only test air to surface lenses there for giving inaccurate numbers. You can take any Nikon you wish and bring it the field next to a Victory HT and I will be glassing for much longer than you. Guaranteed.

      kappen1000 austrian yes.
      But its not completely wrong either.
      For most of german history the austrians were just as german as all germans today...
      Its a long story between napoleon, the austrian expansion in the south east and a prussian state that battled with an austrian led force in 1866.
      Prussia won and therefore austria-hungary wasnt part of „germany“ any longer.
      After ww1 austria-hungary was ended and a german-austrian state or austria joining germany was forbidden by the victors.
      You all know what happened next with the immigrant chancellor.
      And basically history was repeated after ww2.
      Today some austrians really dont wanna be called „germans“, which is silly imo.
      Some bavarians also dont wanna be called germans.
      But the fact is that you could split up germany in much more fractions if you used their logic.
      There is westphalia, saxonia,
      and many other parts of which i dont know the english names.
      There used to be even more before german territory was treated like middle eastern or african territory and new borders were drawn like nobody gave a fuck

      Zeiss is a luxury brand of binocular, therefore they must sell it at very high price to maintain the image of being luxury and prestigious/special.

      Yup, and your point is ____?

    • @XJarhead360
      @XJarhead360 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In a sense you're right. If you can't tell the difference in quality between a Leica HD binocular or its replacement the Leica HD+, or a $200 bino it would be money wasted.

    • @XJarhead360
      @XJarhead360 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup, the price of the top of the line Swaros, Zeiss and Leica are more than a one month payment on my mortgage. Aahh, but if you've ever looked between one of these models and lower priced ones you will see the difference.

    Lol this is ridiculous. Anyone who feels they need 2000 dollar binoculars to enjoy bird-watching is clearly more into the gear than the birds themselves.

    • @XJarhead360
      @XJarhead360 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You're obviously not a hard core birder. Yes, for the average nature lover a $2K binocular is too much. But if you want to be out in the field til dusk and catch the details of a bird...well, your $200 binoculars aren't going to do it.

    • @XJarhead360

      Seriously, are you really going to identify the details of a hummingbird species with an IPod Touch?

    • @hamedizzy6441

      Not true at all. I can tell you havent had much or any time behind the top end binos.

      Ive always loved watching national geographic, discovery channel, animal planet, sciency stuff, stars and things. I recently upgraded to a zeiss ht 10x42. I spent about 1200 on them. The views are amazing. Like watching 4k. Even looking at the ground less than 6 feet away at detail in bug, or animals in tidepools is enjoyable. And They last a lifetime and wont go out of date annd they dont depreciate much.

    The guy is completely wrong. Nikon has had 95% light transmission in their different lines of optics for years. It's Zeiss that just now is catching up and there is no sense whatsoever to talk about its exclusivity...
