Even while in elementary school, I could jitter the night away to this. "Things..." was featured in "Stormy Weather." Benny, like Johnny Hodges, Fletcher Henderson, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, was class personified, the very best of upper crust black America. I am capable of writing more. Just don't have the space. But a heavenly period in music, for sure.

Great groove as only seasoned musicians such as these can achieve in a studio.
I am slightly disappointed, though, that they decided to play this tune in B flat instead of the original and more challenging key of D flat. It may seem pedantic, but the character of the tune changes a lot in a different key.
