Just had this start to fail on my mk 7. I was surprised to see that they have integrated the flap with that forward exhaust pipe instead of having it removable like on previous models as shown in the video. The dealer cost for this part was like $3800 Canadian 🤣

Hey man, at 2:00 I’m trying to get the rings that are around the exhaust but I can’t get them out. How exactly did you get it out? Can I use WD40 to free it up?

@timtishchenko5673 it might be hard to see but I placed the tip of a flathead screwdriver against one of the sections of the rings and hit it with a hammer. Make sure your screwdriver is pretty much tangent to the exhaust pipe. You want all the force to go into freeing the ring and not smashing your exhaust pipe. I don’t think wd40 is needed. Just give it a few good whacks and it should break free. Good luck!

@marquesjohnmullen7046 You do not. Once it’s operating properly the car should recognize its functioning correctly and clear the light. It took me 4-5 starts and maybe 10 miles of driving and the light cleared itself.
