- With the recent release of Kombat Pack 2 for Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate, we now have 13 guest characters ranging from all NetherRealm Studios games. To celebrate the release of Rambo and the conclusion of Mortal Kombat 11, I am going to rank all of the guest characters from the worst to the best.

U can’t lie if u use sub-zero in injustice 2 u might be a sweat but I mean u probably should have put sub-zero on the list

I personally think one of the coolest things about Kratos is that he is the only guest that has his own stage. Wish NRS had give the other guests a stage too.
Great point! Totally forgot to mention that. Now I am imagining a stage involving the hive from Aliens or a dark cabin near Crystal Lake.

I think not having Freddy return in MKX so you could have Freddy vs Jason is a huge mistake. They could have also updated his look and got Englund to do his voice again, seeing as how they got him to voice Scarecrow in Injustice 2.
Agreed. I thought we would get a second pack for MK9 with Jason as a character, but that clearly didn’t happen. It would be awesome to have them cross paths in a game.

TMNT was the best reveal ever. No one saw it coming. No leaks gave it away. It was the perfect surprise.

“Kratos’ presence in the tournament isn’t explained”. His ending legit says that he was brought there by a spell that affected all of space and time and once Shao Khan died, the spell wore off and Kratos returned to his home.
And he makes a big deal out of how Kratos dosent fit in due to "power scaling" when theirs plenty of gods in the mk universe including characters we can play as like centurion and shinnok.(the videos entertaining don't get me wrong but he makes so many werid points to argue. He says robocop dosentfir because he's slow when not only is my 11 a more slower fighting game buy robocops a metal cyborg man like of course he's goana be slow.that was Just two characters lol.)
His videos aren't bad not at all they judt have werid points but its very well made especially for a smaller channel 👏
@@vapor-shadow2815 The series Death Battle (in the Robocop VS Terminator Death Battle) legit even said that while Robocop is a walking tank, he also moves like one. They even said "You'd think OCP would prioritize running legs over, say, his frisbee skills."

I’m very biased with spawn, he’s so perfect in my opinion from voice to cosmetics to moves to lore he just fits in super well

It’s a bit unfair to deduct points from kratos for his bizarre power scaling but not spawn considering they are basically equally powerful hell spawn is probably more powerful
In retrospect, I agree with you. When I wrote this, I went into the thought of all the MK9 fighters. Even Raiden sacrifices his immortality to compete. Since MKX and MK11 kind of ditch that idea and treats everyone with the powers to defeat elder gods, it's something I with I could take back.
Honestly, I’d like to see Candyman, my man Tony Todd from the Candyman Franchise.
If they managed to get Candyman and have Tony Todd do the voice, that’d be amazing!

The explanation for Kratos being in the MK universe is that Quan Chi (or Shao Kahn. I dont remember that well) tried to bring him to kill the Earthrealmers in the tournament,but Kratos was too strong for the mind control

It's implied that Shao Khan was the source of the spell that brought Kratos there because the spell didn't even BEGIN to wear off until after he killed Shao Khan.

Homelander from the boys, the bride from Kill Bill or John Wick would be amazing
I honestly don't mind hell boy sticking out as much as he does because it really helps sell he's from a completely different comic series/ universe all together. Plus his design is still 10/10
I think his design is amazing, it’s just weird seeing it clash with the realistic look of IJ2.
I really love Rambo from MK11 because his fatalities and brutalities are the best.
His brutalities were some of the best in MK11!
I honestly think Hellboy would have worked in Mortal Kombat mainly because they are filled with sorcerers, demons, and monsters and he fights all those things. I felt like he would have fit in almost perfectly.

Pinhead fits the best i think because he would be like shinok with weal hits but uses his telekinesis for the chain attacks
I think Pinhead would work too. If you haven’t played Terrordrome, the developer of that game got creative with the character and it could work!

I didn’t forget about it. It’s loosely mentioned they give up some god power for the tournament or lose it when in Outworld. For Kratos, I don’t recall hearing anything about it.

@@padmeamidala5649 I mean, not really. MK itself doesn't really care about that sort of thing. Cetrion is an Elder God so realistically she shouldn't lose to anyone yet she does.
@@totallyrealcia Kronika is also a LOT more powerful than gods like her daughter Cetrion, and she not only lost once Liu Kang got Raiden's power, but she even said that Raiden and Liu Kang were the biggest threats to her, so why did she even bring their past selves to the present at all? Ones like Shao Khan and Baraka are sensible, but why would she bring the past selves of the two beings she considered to be the biggest threats to her plans to the present regardless?
While I do love the TMNT in Injustice 2. It's seriously a let down that practically all of their dialogue is reused, recycled, or just makes no sense with the DC Heralds.
I understand at the time there was a voice actor strike, but it's an honest issue because the turtles personalities can't be expressed appropriately
That is a good point there. It does seem like the Turtles’ dialogue was written around existing lines from the cast, which can be a bit awkward.
Spawn was my #1 choice also,I feel his inclusion opens the possibility for comic characters to come to MK...To this day I still feel Tekken stolen Negan from MK they had no right to put such a ruthless character up against the likes of Steve lol,still so many characters I would love to see in MK,my top 3 consist of:
Wolverine-X-Men Origins
Pinhead-Hellraiser
Fulgore-Killer Instinct

Connor is just a regular guy with lots of experience and some regenerative powers, it does fits well with MK, but Geralt of Rivia has more skills as a character.

All I know is that BJ Blazkowicz from the Wolfenstein franchise would be an awesome guest character for Mortal Kombat. Having him in MK to celebrate 40 years of the Wolfenstein franchise would be great. And on power scale he's pretty on match with the Kombatants

I'd like to see "the shredder", "the crow", "darkman", "skeletor", & "blade" as guests in New MK games.

Not only is getting the license a challenge, making the licensed characters do what the owners of the characters to do is a challenge. In mk11 ed boon said they had alot of trouble and had to scrap some fatalities for all the licenced characters because they wernt approved by the companies who own them.

Robocop was actually my favorite guest character of all time. I forced myself to play close up and fun, he’s genuinely one of the most fun fighting game characters I’ve ever played as. Funny thing, Terminator and Friday the 13th (part 6), are two favorite movies of mine and I really didn’t enjoy their gameplay as much. One was too slow, one was too fast, the moves felt too samey for each combo, and specifically for Terminator… I hate his glasses, skins, and voice. Seriously where is the punk look from T1? Where are the glasses from T1 and 2, and I really wanted some destroyed skins from T1, 2, and 3. I was quite disappointed that even with the younger oriented skins he still looks like Genesis Terminator. I was quite disappointed by that

Kratos: his physical likeness with Quan Chi who was the big surprise character in MK9 is also why he is less interesting.
Robocop and Rambo seem gifts that we got for missing out on Ash.
Xenomorph is kinda weird design and I feel he would beat anyone in a second.

I must admitted that I agreed with you. Putting Spawn the top1 list is the great choice because Spawn is fans most dreamed and favourite character to join in The Mortal Kombat Universe. He is very cool and his attacks and skills are very unique. I just hoping that Netherrealm Studios were trying to adding Doom Slayer from Doom franchise because he is very brutal but he didn't make it. But maybe just maybe he will be added if Netherrealam Studios making MK12. This is only based on my Opinion so please don't judge. Also Nick congratulation for 9k subscibers😎👍🏻

Spawn is my number 1 for sure.. the last time he was the end all be all was in soul caliber 2. I'm glad they did him justice... I wouldn't mind seeing Deadpool or other marvel characters if the rights to them could be negotiated it would be insane. Imagine fighting with Thanos or the Hulk or... Pick you poison. It would be badass.
Spawn was done great in this game. As Maximilian Dood put it for SC2, Spawn was just a dude with an axe. Deadpool in MK would be amazing!
I'm really sad how they did my boy RoboCop dirty regarding his gameplay. They could have given him stuff like the jetpack and weapons from the show and just a lot more to work with besides "pew pew, a hole through you I blew!"
I was really hoping for some jet packs or some crazy references. I was just a bit disappointed with the overuse of zoning tools.

I was happy when you put spawn in first because I main spawn in mk11 and another good thing about him is that they fit him perfectly in the franchise as of kinda like a partner of scorpion and sub-zero to take down demons
Spawn just fits so well into Mortal Kombat. Having him be allies with Scorpion and Sub-Zero was just something that put a smile on my face!

I do appreciate the guests and the amount of references, but I just wasn’t a fan of Robocop’s gameplay. Terminator needed Arnold’s voice.

I love all of the NRS Guest characters,I know alot of people don't like them,but all of the forgets that it's a necessary evil that most happen because of a company's stand point,by far all of the works in a unique way and I do agree with all of them,especially number 1,I only hope and pray that MK12 for the next Guest characters Freddy Kruger,Jason Voorhees,and Ash Williams appear so that it could pay homage for the crossover comic and it would be a dream come true,plus Michael Myers,Shredder,Doomsday,Deathstroke,Candyman,Pinhead,Pennywise,Doom Slayer,Kratos,and Carnage because why not.
I like them too and I can see why some may not like them. I really hope we get some cooler ones in future titles. Doom Slayer would be my next pick!

Really great work! I'd have swapped the spots for Robocop and Terminator, though. Terminator was a guest because they marketed the hell out of the character as he was in a recent Terminator film. He was everywhere, like Gears 5. And the main skin was the old version of him, not the classic. And Arnie didn't even voice him! I think Robocop is so cool and perfect for MK, though I agree about his gameplay.

I think the John carpenter's the "Thing " would be a dope character the "Thing " could be made out of multiple mortal combat characters

For Injustice, my guess is either He-Man or Lion-O would join. Masters of the Universe already crossed over into the IJ comics and a Thundercats film is already in the works. So I think they would want to capitalize on that!

I agree with you there. I would love to see Freddy come back played by Robert Englund with references to all the Nightmare movies. If they did him again, he’d definitely crack the top 5!
@@the_NNPW Ikr! He set the stage for some great guest characters and I’m glad he was the first, but looking back I feel like there is so much more potential. One of the main draws of Freddy Krueger is his personality, that’s what separates him from the other mindless killing machines of other slasher films. But him being quiet just doesn’t feel right. Especially when characters like RoboCop and Terminator have more personality than he does. Plus he’s literally a demon, he could so easily go toe to toe with the best of the best.

After MKX, I was expecting more horror icons. I was expected people like Ash Williams, The Thing and more. Guess they decided to switch to action stars for a more widespread appeal.

Its weird how joker was my least anticipated guest/dlc character into 2nd main in MK11 right behind Kabal.
Same. Of all the DLC characters in KP1, I wasn’t looking forward to him at all. When he released, I couldn’t stop playing him.
It would be dope to have an anime characters pack for MK12. Would love to see Guts from Berserk and Jubei kibagami frim Ninja scroll in MK12. Especially The Major from Ghost in the Shell 🙌🏼
If we do ever get any anime characters, I hope they translate well to a live-action looking setting.
About Kratos facing against "normal people" but these "normal people" themselves are Gods, Demi Gods, Super soldiers that can hold their own against gods, world conquering warlords, and that's just to name a few.

How would you compare kratos power scaling versus the elder gods? Are their powers diminished through the storylines so lui kang can keep beating them? Cool list btw I haven't even gotten to mk11 and I'd agree with spawn just bc he's my favorite character in comics.
