You are so right on the peace, safety and lack of micro aggressions, profanity and so on in Kenya. Sometimes I wonder how we get travel advisories made against us when I have never felt safe in any city I have ever been to in America. Everything is just so tense you could cut it with a knife. Karibu dada.
I believe the travel advisories are meant to agitate, therefore, promoting propaganda that Kenya is unsafe, maybe to deter tourist, or at least certain groups of people from visiting Kenya. And, also, I have had agitators in this comment section promoting the same propaganda that Kenya is not safe, but, Americans know the difference between peace, and chaos. Safe and unsafe environments.
Great to see you are enjoying your time in our city. All of you are welcome back to the motherland. This continent will rise again and lead the world like it did during the ancient civilizations of Kemet, Nubia, Zimbabwe, and others.
I wish you stayed longer, I would have taken you western Kenya in December and feel the real african village. Thanks for coming home. I ate clay for 14yrs. my mom too when she was pregnant. Yes, when you see people standing or sitting and looking at you just say hello as you pass.
I'll be back:) I haven't seen anyone looking or staring at me, and if I do see it, it happens in America, as well. Funny thing is, sometimes it looks as if someone is staring, when in actuality, they might be looking at something else, or, have something on their mind, and appears as if they are looking at a person, but are not. It's always good to give situations the benefit of the doubt. Thank you for viewing and sharing:)
The best way for African Americans to understand and gain experience outside USA its to travel Jamaica, Barbados Caribbean Africa you travel you can compare just as you have traveled to Kenya can compare to USA
@@BlackAmerJourneyBackToIslamWonderful to read this perspective of the African American experience in the US. Peace, love and blessings to all our brothers and sisters in the diaspora. Your brother here in Uganda 🇺🇬😍✌🏽❤️
I have read the bible through and through 7 times over, and I continue to read it, as well as the Quran, which is a recitation of the bible. When it is all said and done, this world and "civilization" is going to be turned upside down and over. A day that people will be praying for death to come quicky. And there will be no where to run or hide. And this definitely includes the USA, as well. Thank you for viewing, commenting, and subscribing.
My sister, I’ve read the books too but I’ve come to a realization that they were used to Rob and kill us. They’re a work of men to control humans. Free yourself and mind sister. ❤
It is safer from my personal experience, but the local politics is crazy. Even kenyas have their phone stolen when standing on the street. If they know you have loafs of money you better watch your back cause anything goes. Just walking up and down the street, you cool, and Kenyans are broken up in tribes and each tribe has their own ways of doing things.
Yes. I have been informed about the phones. This seems to be the case in Gambia, Ghana, Tanzania, and I am sure other countries in Africa. Thank you for more insight. Good looking out:)
New subscriber alert! You are definitely a great addition to the Kenyan community. But you also need to realize that you are not a stranger here. You should feel right at home. Kenyans speak excellent English but many people will attempt to interact with you in Swahili. It's just because you look exactly like a native. Just learn some Swahili and your experience will be even more awesome. Here racial slurs and profanities are not a thing. Enjoy the Kenyan experience to the fullest sister.
Yes. I plan on learning Swahili fluently. Over a year ago, I purchased several language learning books for African countries I plan on visiting, and Swahili is one of those books, I also purchased and other language learning tools; flash cards, cross word puzzles, etc...There's also a couple of TH-cam channels that teach Swahili. Swahili is spoken in many African countries, therefore, I will learn it first. Asante Sana!:)
I know what you mention about the red clay we vot the same here but not found everywhere you need a kenyan to show you get it and its for the same purpose used
Black America are admixture of several groups in the continent of Africa . The borders in the continent are artificial and therefore groups occupy several territories . Like the Oromo of Ethiopia, Kenya the Somali are predominantly Cushitic and occupy Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia, Djibouti . The Maasai are Nilotic with variations of Nilo-Saharan/Nilo-Cushitc due to their migratory patterns and occupy Kenya, Tanzania .
Like the Nilotic Luo of Kenya(Obama,Lupita), Luo of Uganda( Luo-Langi like President Miton Obote, Army Chief Gen David Oyite Ojok, Luo-Acholi like President Gen Tito Okello, Army Commander Gen Bazilio Olara Okello, LRA rebels against Yoweri Museveni JOSEPH KONY, Okot Odhiambo, WOMAN KING ACTOR SHEILA ATIM), Luo of Tanzania ,DRC Congo, Sudan/Lower Egypt, Chad, Central Africa Republic, Ethiopia Gambella/Eritrea .
The Nilo-Sahelian Fulani of Nigeria(President Muhammadu Buhari), Senegal, Cameroon, Chad, Central Africa republic . The Shona of Zimbabwe(President Robert Mugabe), Southern Africa, Kenya etc . The Banyarwanda of Rwanda(President Paul Kagame),Congo,Uganda . The Banyankole of Uganda(President Yoweri Museveni),Rwanda . The Barundi of Burundi,Tanganyika .

Don't be afraid to show people, Nairobians are not camera shy plus everyone tolerates tiktoks and video blogs.
