Battery efficiency drops by about 15-20% in peak summer. Ac is decent, but not the best. Pre- cooling the car before you arrive is pretty great though.
With the price tag honestly a car without a slide roof shade, or HUD, and with faux leather leave a big wide gap on value delivery. Positives: Tech ( though its a shame that all features are not functional) Petrol savings (someone buying a car of that price tag surely not have fuel as top reason) Maintenance: zero. Which is a plus. Except yearly wheel rotation ( that costs 1k per visit) Cons: Luxury price but lacking luxury Insurance (so tricky as warranty gets void if u get non dealer repair which get difficult after 2 years) now fr Tesla insurance premium is 6-9 k plus 15% of repair cost in case of claim. So fuel savings get offset by high insurance. And the resale is weaker than fuel car.
My commute is about the same daily and I need to charge the long range every 5-6 days as it’s gets from about 90 to 30 %. If your home charging it should be fine, but I would spend the extra for the long range, more power, more range and some other niceties like the sound system and lights. Range anxiety is a thing when you go electric, if you planning a trip to dubai or something always nice to have the extra range.
@@kammiglani7018MYP comes with better brakes and bigger tyres which means you’ll have to shell out more when the time comes to replace these! Although the brakes would only need to be changed around 150-200k kms depending on how often you use them instead of the regenerative braking.
hey...i dont have charging in my apartment building. Has it been practical to go to the superchargers to charge? I will need to charge once in a week to 10 days. they dont recommend using the superchargers and use it only for emergencies. appreciate if you could let me know.
That’s not true … using supercharging Is fine as long as you are not super charging every day. I super charge once a week, and from what I have seen online it should be fine.
Battery performance is a little worse. But as I said in the video because of cabin overheat protection, the car doesn’t get hot. You do need to get a sun shade for the roof in the summer though
Great review Siddharth. What’s the real range you’re getting on the car considering we have the AC running practically the whole year in Dubai. Contemplating between the long range and performance. Cheers
@@Island728 really depends on teslas price of a new car … their prices keep fluctuating, but I think now is a good time to buy. You should get about 70% of the value after 2 years with reasonable mileage.

Hi, how’s it been during the peak summer out here in Dubai ? in terms of Aircon and Range? Also Does regular use of supercharger affect the battery?
Great review. I got the 2023 MYP and I can confirm the ride quality is great. The car is amazing, insanely fast and smooth.
Great to hear!
Great review.. do you think model Y will be okay for abit of offroad also? Or off roading a NO for tesla?
Hi. Can you say something about hot weather/AC performance and how long is the battery lasts? Thinking to buy in Doha, is your referral works here?

You can put additional tint on the roof, even if it’s clear tint to get most of the heat out!

great review. You mention FSD doesn't work in Dubai. Is that right?
Not as of now
Hi Siddharth,
Do you recommend getting the model y standard range if the daily drive is not more than say 50 kms in Abu Dhabi ?

If I spend for the long range, don’t you think I should spend 2k aed extra for the performance and get better brakes and few extras.
Wotsay ?

I get 250 miles of real world range on a full charge (100% to 3%) in my 2023 MYP.
Realistically getting around 250 KM from 90% - 30 % I generally don’t let the car get below that
