Great seeing Winfield drag harrow do so very well behind Ford tractor, Josh well done you ! Great job getting it starting & running so very well Old Blue rocks rock driveway Woo Hoo
6:54 you can also chuck a price of copper in the trough and it will keep it clean too, we have white steel baths and only clean every now and again to remove dirt
Oh man....be sure you get one that has a frame like this....talk to my buddy Chris at Wingfield American Harrow.. you can actually get a real person to talk to ya!! MADE IN THE USA!!!!!! He's great! There's a link to his site...he doesn't pay me anything to tell ya....ask him if you can get a Stoney Ridge discount! He might just hook ya up!
I can't say I am sold on this for the leaves. Looks like it chops up a lot and mixes it in with the gravel, making it to sit, mixed in with gravel, to become food for the weeds come spring. I think the just need to be blown off first then dress the road. Fr the pasture, it's fr sure a great turd buster.
if the ground were dry and the leaves were you could see better results....I'll bet we pulled 3 pickup truck loads of leaves off the road in this vid....was tough to show it though
If you rent and use a vibratory smooth roller over the gravel to compact it you'll have good and long lasting results. Best to do it when the base is wet from recent rains. When the gravel and fines are compacted it helps it shed rain water.
man.....gravel around here just disapears.....I have seen folks using vibratory rollers on their driveways around here, but the issue is that we basically pack the gravel with heavy trucks all summer long..so it's tight for sure. You'd be hard pressed to find a guy more obsessed with keeping up his driveway than me lol....I just love to make it look nice!
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer wow. Had a spot about 60' long on a gravel lane by one of my barns that had the disappearing gravel problem. Ended up hauling in 80 ton of stone and walking it in with a D-6 before I found a bottom in that area. No problems since.
Got a 6'x8' industrial heavy chain link gate, for scrap price, does almost as good. Plus I flip it over, fabric on top, put tarp or plywood over it ,makes great sled for heavy, bulky items, don't have to lift too high. Nice job 👍
well....my brotha....Having the right tool for the job instead of a bunch of old junk laying around has it's perks too. Back in the day I didn't have a drag.....I took the Gator and pulled a pallet with buckets screwed to the top of it full of rocks lol....tha'ts how I smoothed my entire yard! Crazy huh!
Never ending work to do there Josh!! When do you do your nursing job, if you still are a practicing nurse?? Love that old Ford Tractor!! Happy holiday J man!!
I've been on the farm/content creation for about 4-5 years now. Non longer working in the hospital...thank goodness....I don't think I could handle the politics!
Somebody has been watching VGG and Jimmy’s world. I’ve noticed a few catch phrases in the videos recently. It’s interesting to know we share similar tastes in videos.
Yes I’ve all but stopped watching regular tv. I’ll occasionally watch Netflix or Amazon. I imagine you could get some good ideas from other TH-cam channels. I enjoy watching your content. Keep up the great work and Merry Christmas!
have you gotten any good at repairing drones yet? I had to repair mine when it decided to land the fall out of a tree the hit the pavement and break the mid frame. Luckily store demo units are cheap on ebay with oem parts, just no electronics.
As scatter brained as I am if I started vehicles to warm up and took off I'd come back to a charged battery and no fuel!😂
I'm also in that group. I'm a one man operation, l have one battery for my non-everyday tractors with quick disconnect battery terminals
ooh...now that's not good. I have accidentally left a truck running all night before!
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer Those little jump start boxes must've had a farmer in mind, very handy. Take care

Looks great
Looks like it does a good job I have a six foot rake I use
I sometimes think “old” farm equipment could be referring to us guys approaching 50 years old. Love the old tractors.
You got that right! We're getting old, but that's okay!
Wanting a drag harrow for awhile. I am glad you posted this video
the old 2910 thats the smaller version of the 5610

For maintaining a gravel driveway. Is a drag harrow a substitute for a land plane?

yes lol...I have a bit of a drone graveyard now with parts....it's already back up and running!
Josh, wasn't 202 the calf you had so much trouble out of when he was younger?? 😊
He was a trouble maker....but not that flighty! This calf is crazy!!
You’ve become attached to that attachment
