I find myself coming back to this video several times. I just like this little collection. Great viddy. After many hours of internet research, I bought a Tops mil spie elite. No regrets, surprised how wicked sharp Ive gotten the 1095, about $100.

I like the idea of carrying a small fixed blade on me. One of my favorites is the Mora Eldris. You know for those "just in case" scenario's. I also have an affinity for neck knives. I've been carrying that little Kiri-EDC neck knife from Civivi lately. The more I work with knives the more I prefer a kiridashi or wharncliffe/sheepsfoot blade. Good video as always Paddy. Sanrenmu means three-edged-wood. I recognised the first kanji as the Japanese number 3 or san, so looked up the others. That little wood handles Ali-Express knife is the one you were going to send me. That wee knife Jason made reminds me of a Vox knife, certainly in the ergonomics.
Sadly, that carson CRKT is AUS 6, but if you think its nice, i may go ahead and grab one, as its only about 14 USD at the moment, and I have been considering that sanrenmu for a bit, but now I am gonna get it right away. Excellent video as always.
Hello again. I have folders and fixed blades in 5cr15 from Solognac which is the home brand of Decathlon sports shops. They are good for the price but i agree on the steel. SOFT but what an edge. I strop after every use and if used for a week they need sharpening. Otherwise good knives. All the best.

Nice collection! I’ve got a BHK “Frontier Valley” w/a saber grind that’s just like that LT Wright you have. Beautiful knife but it doesn’t get much carry time; I should have gotten the full-flat grind so it’d be better for slicing! I usually wind up carrying my Mora “Kansbol” if I’m camping & need a sheath knife.

The Minimalist Wharncliffe is my favourite neck knife design. If only it had better steel and more secure sheath
I recently bought some blade blanks from Brisa so that I can make a fixed pocket knife for myself, they are good scandi carbon steel and not too expensive, I think the maker was Polar.
I bloody love that little skinner. I wish I could get one of those. I bet it was only about 20 dollars as well being rough rider

Nice small fixed blades selections. But could you please do a video on the best of the current selections of medium fixed blades, with good sheaths (none of the huge sheaths stuff), something we can pull out in a hurry and get at least 3 and a half fingers on it without the risk of slicing our index fingers?

Im sooo with you on the folts blade steel. With 8cr, i would own every design they make, which i think are 4 or 5. Its a shame they went with that 5cr
Very cool selection of small fixed blades. I picked up a few Schrade Frontiers (SCHF**) a few years ago and can recommend any of them as edc or backcountry knives. They are 8CR's also. Paddy will we see some of your larger fixed blades in the future? Hope so, and stay safe sir.

Very nice collection. The Sanrenmu I also have, and like it too. If you push with you thumb while you pull, the knife will come out easier if it has a plastic or kydex sheeth.

You should check out a few south african knife makers👍🏻. Great custom fixed blades being made here and with the exchange rate at the moment it wont cost you much😂
