Tenchu was the itch on the taint, the one you want to scratch l, the suprior feeling of relief from just an itch, but not in public and god help your social life if you ever admit it.
Amazing video as always. Falcon is the best out there! This list was so relatable. Especially, the Time vs Money thing. As a kid you had massively time to play but no money for all those games. Now you have a butt-load of games but no time to actually play. My backlog is insane, having games for various consoles from the 80‘s till today. But with work and family there isn’t enough time. I always hope to tackle the backlog after retirement, but let’s face it; I don’t even know if the machines work until then, nor I have the fitness to play them at that stage of life. At least, I check one box off the list in speaking Japanese. And it opened me the door to a lot of great games, especially in the PS1 and Saturn era. Good memories.
Driveclub 2. To me, the original was the perfect mix of sim/arcade racing, with fun original tracks and gorgeous graphics. If they never took down the servers for Driveclub I might STILL be playing it.
Ridge racer, wipe out, DriveClub remaster for PS5 would be great. Resistance, Killzone, Army of Two, Splinter Cell, Kotor, Infamous, Sly Cooper, Cannon Fodder, theme park, bitmap bros games like speedball, chaos engine, the wing commander series, I would also like a conversion of the original Simpsons 4 player arcade game. Oh and Motor storm, Twisted metal, Turok, Shadowman and a Sleeping dogs sequel. When I was playing Star Wars outlaws ship sections, all I could think was how I missed the wing commander series.
Overall agree with the list. There's a few (some I'd just like a sequel or remake to) I'd add: 1) Sacrifice (or other Shiny games in general, MDK, etc) 2) Max Payne 3) Heavy Gear 4) Descent 5) Freespace (yes I know about OpenFS) 6) Quake 7) Interstate '76 (or car combat games in general) 8) Killzone
There's rumours of a remaster of soul reaver 1 and 2 Someone on the internet also took pics of a statue of raziel and kain fighting with remaster 1 and 2 written on it (P. S: There's also the visual novel which is a prequel to soul reaver)
@@shawnjohn5756 A remaster wud be something's-better-than-nothing. But Soul Reaver 1 & 2's combat mechanics need an update. Legacy of Kain: Defiance's combat was better, but not great that Kain & Raziel's move sets were identical, just different in name only.
For Burnout I met the maker of it at PAX East a few years back and they are making Wrecknation which is a similar in concept addition to the genre as Yooka is for Banjo
You’ve got to remember - what made these franchises special were the original dev team members, not the game itself. And since pretty much all of these teams have, at the least, changed beyond recognition, and at the worst disbanded entirely, you start to understand that you can bring back a franchise but you’ll never bring back the original teams that made them - so any new games in the series will unfortunately likely full very short of their forebears.
@@henryspencer Not the stealth part, its actually pretty bad and basic. And i play it stealthy every chance i get, because its so much easier then open fights(as i am really bad at them).
BO3TD needs a reboot in some way! The Crash game mode was wayyyyyy too enjoyable. Excellent call on Timesplitters as well, and I'd definitely go for something that worked as well as DJ:FFNY as well. Great vid!
Jak and Daxter meets Ratchet and Clank would be a penultimate meetup. Insomniac could absolutely do it and it would be GOLD or PLATINUM. Heck numerous R&C games have references to Jak and Daxter in a TON of their games.
My sister was playing burnout. She was doing one of the challenges where you try and create as much devastation as you can on a controlled area. This one was jumping from one bridge onto another one and trying to obviously take out as many vehicles as possible. She ran into a hilarious glitch, she landed on top of the oil tanker and she went up because of the explosion and then it exploded again and she basically turned her car into a buzz bomb going vertical.... Like off the map. To date, that is the funniest video game glitch I've ever seen
While a lot of series deserve a call out, THANK YOU FOR CALLING OUT ONIMUSHA! A full remake with REngine would be so amazing. I agree with everything you said. Huge missed opportunity!
I always preferred Red Alert to Generals. But Red Alert 3 wasn't great either. The units became too convoluted & required more micro-management if IIRC.

In all honesty, you EASILY could've made a top 40 list. My favorite franchises that need the comeback they rightfully deserve are: Star Fox, F-Zero, Sly Cooper, infamous, Jak & Daxter, Medal of Honor, Twisted Metal, Donkey Kong, Conker, Bad Company, Spyro & Banjo
So many PlayStation IP would be on my personal list. Jak, Sly Cooper, Resistance, Killzone, Twisted Metal, Parappa the Rapper, Jumping Flash, and plenty more.
I'd love that but Criterion have been neutered since making NFS games. If it came back I'd want someone else to handle it. There was supposed to a spiritual successor called Dangerous Driving 2 but it's either dead or in a long term coma.
As a big fan of Splinter Cell I made a John Wick style action montage using Splinter Cell Blacklist stylish takedowns. Looks really cool. If only we got a proper John Wick game that way, Ubisoft could license and stay afloat. They have all the right tools already.
@@afd19850 Right, when I was capturing footage I was in awe how much time and effort they put into these takedown animations. Not to mention, a Max Payne Remake from Rockstar would be a nice bonus :)
I really, really miss Splinter Cell. I’m 28 and it’s the stealth action game that introduced me to the genre with Pandora Tomorrow. We need more truly good stealth action games again.
WE WANT RED FACTION GURELLA!!! Seriously, I freaking LOVE that game. The destruction you are able to do is to this day still on a whole new plane of existence of which no other game has honestly come close to. For the love of God please bring it back, full 4k, all that jazz, or perhaps something new with like it. It's lonely at the top, and that poor game needs company.
A new Left 4 Dead game would be amazing. Also this one's kind of out of left field, but I'd want another Godfather game, all they'd have to do is combine the best parts of 1 and 2 and it'd surpass most of modern gaming. Maybe these don't count because they were one-off games, but I will always think it's criminal that we never got sequels for Bully and Castle Crashers.
Honestly there’s a bunch of horror series that should be given another chance: FEAR, Condemned, Danganronpa, Dead Space (an actual sequel), Siren and Aliens Vs. Predator just to name a few.
- Condemned Series (Condemned 2 Bloodshot was only released on consoles, give us a PC version) - The Bourne Conspiracy (Such an underrated game, that had amazing gameplay with lots of combat and action - a remaster would be awesome) - Sleeping Dogs (A sequel, what more to say) - Mad Max (A sequel or a new game from the same universe) - Splinter Cell (Remake or new entry) - Tenchu (A new game or remaster) - Syphon Filter (Remake of the first game)
Honestly? Some of the Square games should be given a new shot. Parasite Eve, Valkyrie Chronicles, Front Mission... Hell, if Squeenix wanted, and they have these IPs still, they could even make friggin crossover games with these IPs and more. Imagine a Final Fantasy Tactics game that has everything the old games had, but your characters are also Wanzer pilots (with different specializations that add more spice along with their usual jobs), and pilot Wanzers (which can be further modified and whose parts change/enhance their functions depending on a pilot's job and specialization) to beat up powerful monsters and other Wanzers. Hell. Would've been also great to have a horror version of Front Mission mixed with the Parasite Eve series. Now that would've been great.

The lack of Michael Ironside wasn't what caused Splinter Cell to be put on pause. It was because Blacklist (and Conviction before) weren't real Splinter Cell games, their formula moved away from the original one fans loved.
I had a blast with Sleeping Dogs back in the day! The fighting Style, the new moves you learn from Sifu... it was just great :) Although I still curse the Grapplers... they taught me how to properly utilize the fighting system :)
Hell yeah, Splinter Cell with Michael Ironside returning would be awesome. Bioshock, Dino Crisis, Red Faction Guerrilla and Spyro remakes/sequels would be insane. I never played Banjo Kazooey but I loved the 2 Yooka-Laylee games and i was told they were 'spiritual successors' so I'd love to be able to play BK if they brought it back.
Take-Two did officially announce a new Bioshock game by a new 2K studio, Cloud Chamber Games if i recall correctly. Guess we won't wait long for a gameplay reveal.
The thing I personally really loved about Time Splitters 2 was the level editor mode...making your own multiplayer levels. Just so freaking cool and surprisingly in-depth for the time.
Falcon, you've talked SO MUCH of Red Faction that I've tried it a few months ago and honestly, I'm so mad that I lost this game back when it came out... I've made sure to buy it and keep it in my library, because this is an absolute gem of a game. What physics destruction games don't get nowadays is that we don't want to destroy as an objective, we want destruction as a means to an end. I've tried teardown and found it way too boring. The mechanics are good but I can't connect to the game at all. Now... blowing up bridges or the ACTUAL enemy headquarters down with some well-placed C4 just to clear out the area of enemies? That is absolutely awesome!
Dugeon keeper - Bullfrog i know there was inspired by games made over the years but id love Dungeon Keeper 3 to actually happen. Also Black and White, id be happy with a remaster, hell even just a reralease of b&w1+2
Burnout 3 blew me away when I got it. I was 13 or 14 and bought it with my PS2. It looked so awesome at the time and was very very fun, it still looks great. Damn now I'm probably going to get my PS2 out.

Tenchu was the itch on the taint, the one you want to scratch l, the suprior feeling of relief from just an itch, but not in public and god help your social life if you ever admit it.
What about Thief ?
TimeSplitters is one of the most underrated franchises! It surprises me how many people still don't know this game.!
I’d love a new Killzone and Resistance game! 🖤
Infamous series and Prototype series definitely need a comeback!
There it is, we definitely need more Motor Storm! Also, more ModNation Racers would be great.
Sleeping Dogs was so refreshing and always wished for a second one
I played the game recently on a 4090, the combat was good but everything else was kinda meh. 7/10 game
Yeah the game was defiantly awesome, always wished they did something more with it
Overall agree with the list. There's a few (some I'd just like a sequel or remake to) I'd add:
1) Sacrifice (or other Shiny games in general, MDK, etc)
2) Max Payne
3) Heavy Gear
4) Descent
5) Freespace (yes I know about OpenFS)
6) Quake
7) Interstate '76 (or car combat games in general)
8) Killzone
Legacy of Kain. Please for the love of goddddd
There's rumours of a remaster of soul reaver 1 and 2
Someone on the internet also took pics of a statue of raziel and kain fighting with remaster 1 and 2 written on it
@@shawnjohn5756yea i really want as well as the soul reaver but they mega money!
Was thinking the EXACT same thing.
Blood omen 2 was so fire on ps2. I know alot of people liked soul reaver better but those games were boring as shit to me.
Am I the only one wishing for another Prototype game? Remember that franchise?
Those were fun...
Exactly
Truer words have never been spoken
I want to add Tenchu and need more stealth games
Agree 100% Ghost of Tsushima made me want a new Tenchu all the more, and a sequel for Tsushima.
Yeah, Tenchu should be on the list! Check out Rise of the Ronin, it’s really good! 😁
The only thing that has come close since has been Sekiro. It scratched an itch for sure, but would love to see more
@@henryspencer Not the stealth part, its actually pretty bad and basic. And i play it stealthy every chance i get, because its so much easier then open fights(as i am really bad at them).
@@alexejvornoskov6580 Yeah, I agree, the stealth isn’t that good. I recommend getting the hang of the open combat, it’s great once you master it 😁
BO3TD needs a reboot in some way! The Crash game mode was wayyyyyy too enjoyable. Excellent call on Timesplitters as well, and I'd definitely go for something that worked as well as DJ:FFNY as well.
Great vid!
Not having iNFamous here should be a crime
Resistance. I don't need to say anymore. I'll be happy with a remaster or remake, but Resistance will always be my top pick.
You guys are on a roll with these new video ideas. Really liking the list choices!
sleeping dogs was and is a brilliant game, definitely deserves to be brought back
Jak and Daxter gang, where you at?
Here here bud
I'm a Ratchet and Clank guy
We here bro
Jak and Daxter meets Ratchet and Clank would be a penultimate meetup. Insomniac could absolutely do it and it would be GOLD or PLATINUM. Heck numerous R&C games have references to Jak and Daxter in a TON of their games.
@@kingzach74 I mean, they met up as rivals in PlayStation All-Stars, but most people would rather forget that game.
Dues Ex HR is one of my all-time favorite games. Loved the setting, loved the stealth, loved the power ups. Hate that we don't have a good follow up.
Tommy tallarico made a 3 hour video on why DE:HR is fine. His mother is very proud.
To date, that is the funniest video game glitch I've ever seen
chrono trigger also has that classic toriyama art, probably could replicate it, but itll never be the same
HOLD ON. an immersive sim where you play blade in a stealth game with craazy vampire powers... that actually sounds amazing.
The fact the Jak and Daxter games weren’t mentioned is unbelievable, WE NEED A PROPER FOURTH ENTRY THAT CONTINUES THE CLIFFHANGER AT THE END OF 3
You forgot one that desperately needs to come back. F.E.A.R. It was the most amazing FPS horror game of all time. We need F.E.A.R 4 now
Silly fact: The number 4 is pronounced "vier" in German, which sounds a lot like "fear". So Germans would call F.E.A.R 4 "fear fear" 😁
Trepang 2.
FE4R
While a lot of series deserve a call out, THANK YOU FOR CALLING OUT ONIMUSHA! A full remake with REngine would be so amazing. I agree with everything you said. Huge missed opportunity!
No one missing Command & Conquer RTS franchise !?
Last one I played was Renegade. The old fps one
Everyday i wish someone would make a new Generals...
came here to say this. Especially since Age of Empires is having a revival just be releasing and updating the original games.
I always preferred Red Alert to Generals. But Red Alert 3 wasn't great either. The units became too convoluted & required more micro-management if IIRC.
@@Moe_Lester_fromUptwn that was a real piece of **** LOL.
No new Bloodbourne
No new Resistance
No new Sly Cooper
No new Killzone
No new SOCOM
No new Infamous
No new Jak & Daxter
No new Prototype
400 million bucks down the tube...
No new Manhunt 🔪☠️
.....But but diversity matter
Everything you listed is masculine made for men generally which they hate because the industry full of activists and feminists, people who literally dont play games and hate people like us.
Gotta pump out that modern day DEI slop dogshit. Gotta let Sweet Baby Shit inc infiltrate triple AAA titles and add their garbage there too ie Spiderman 2, God of War Ragnorak
Agreed
Probably one of Gameranx's best lists... And I've seen them ALL!!
I would love a new infamous...
Clock Tower and Unreal Tournament too.
Embracer Group is hands down the worst thing that’s happened to the gaming industry 😤
Bro this is why I love this channel! You said almost every game I was thinking in my head!
So many PlayStation IP would be on my personal list. Jak, Sly Cooper, Resistance, Killzone, Twisted Metal, Parappa the Rapper, Jumping Flash, and plenty more.
Burnout! I NEED MORE BURNOUT. CRITERION! Please make another Burnout pleeeaaaaase
I'd love that but Criterion have been neutered since making NFS games. If it came back I'd want someone else to handle it. There was supposed to a spiritual successor called Dangerous Driving 2 but it's either dead or in a long term coma.
Burnout 3 was an absolute masterpiece. I liked Paradise, but 3 was just amazing.
Take a drink every time Falcon says “Red Faction Guerrilla”
As a big fan of Splinter Cell I made a John Wick style action montage using Splinter Cell Blacklist stylish takedowns. Looks really cool. If only we got a proper John Wick game that way, Ubisoft could license and stay afloat. They have all the right tools already.
There is money on the table for a John Wick game using those game play mechanics and Max Payne style grime and noir.
@@afd19850 Right, when I was capturing footage I was in awe how much time and effort they put into these takedown animations. Not to mention, a Max Payne Remake from Rockstar would be a nice bonus :)
@@afd19850 Stranglehold.
Blacklist was a good game but a terrible Splinter Cell game, the original gameplay was way better and more interesting.
I really, really miss Splinter Cell. I’m 28 and it’s the stealth action game that introduced me to the genre with Pandora Tomorrow. We need more truly good stealth action games again.
What was your favorite installment?
WE WANT RED FACTION GURELLA!!! Seriously, I freaking LOVE that game. The destruction you are able to do is to this day still on a whole new plane of existence of which no other game has honestly come close to. For the love of God please bring it back, full 4k, all that jazz, or perhaps something new with like it. It's lonely at the top, and that poor game needs company.
Another one I would add to my top 5 for thi list would be Tenchu
A new Left 4 Dead game would be amazing. Also this one's kind of out of left field, but I'd want another Godfather game, all they'd have to do is combine the best parts of 1 and 2 and it'd surpass most of modern gaming.
Maybe these don't count because they were one-off games, but I will always think it's criminal that we never got sequels for Bully and Castle Crashers.
Castle crashers is actually getting new DLC soon looool. 16 or so years after the OG release
Foreal. Mafia 3 was a TERRIBLE rip off of the godfather games.
left 4 dead in an open world setting would be so cool for real.
@@tiredofthisshieeet
As a day 1 castle crashers player I am so happy
As a console player, I hate my life…

What in the actual fuck did I just hear 😂😂😂
Feel like Ape Escape needed to make this list. Would love to see what a modern version of those games would look like
Yeah, loved those as a kid. Got a tease from the recent Astrobot game though 🙃
Honestly there’s a bunch of horror series that should be given another chance: FEAR, Condemned, Danganronpa, Dead Space (an actual sequel), Siren and Aliens Vs. Predator just to name a few.
You forgot the absolute master class in horror that is The Suffering. Not the second one, the first one.
I actually thought "I am hoping you put #2 (trying not to spoil up)" and you did! I am SO shocked that #2 wasn't made years ago. It's so damn good
I would love another BioShock. I would even love a remaster or next Gen version of the originals!
we really need a titanfall title
- Condemned Series (Condemned 2 Bloodshot was only released on consoles, give us a PC version)
- The Bourne Conspiracy (Such an underrated game, that had amazing gameplay with lots of combat and action - a remaster would be awesome)
- Sleeping Dogs (A sequel, what more to say)
- Mad Max (A sequel or a new game from the same universe)
- Splinter Cell (Remake or new entry)
- Tenchu (A new game or remaster)
- Syphon Filter (Remake of the first game)
Ps5 really needs a new uncharted game its been 8 years
Id probably buy a ps5 just for that.
Yes. Parasite Eve. (But “The 3rd Birthday” never happened).
@@mikewright9566 Just like Dawn of War 3, Homeworld 3, Dungeon Keeper Mobile, C&C4....and many other similar stuff.
None of this happened.
And yeah. 3rd Birthday was a horrible clusterfrack that also shat on PE2's good ending.
Drakan please. That was probably my first open world game and I've been obsessed ever since
No Infamous on here is criminal, i would love to see cole Macgrath make a comeback
Need to bring back Syphon Filter
Speaking of Rareware: A sequel to Conker Bad Fur Day or Perfect Dark would nail it.
Conker's Bad Fur Day definitely needs a reboot. Them along with Jak and Daxter!
Let's see if I see Legend of Dragoon, or Bloody Roar on this list
Edit: Nope as I figured
I would love new games from both of these series
Wild Assault.
I’m not sure how many people actually want another Bloody Roar game.
Dragoon YES! BR? Ehhh probably not.
@@brodriguez11000 totally different game
@@MrSpartan993 you'd be surprised. Every time Playstation has live events, i see it mentioned in the live chat, and there was a petition a few years back to revive it. Even though petitions are worthless.

Woah! Crimson Skies was such a good pull! So was Def Jam! I'm going to throw TWO into consideration though. I've been waiting forever for:
Tenchu Stealth Assassin's
And
Dynasty Tactics
Bring back Infamous.
Why does Sony sit on Infamous? Denson is fine n all, but i really want my boy Cole McGrath back...
Cole is great and all but Delson is way more powerful, obviously. We need a second game for Delson first, I’m sorry but Cole got enough games.
The lack of Michael Ironside wasn't what caused Splinter Cell to be put on pause. It was because Blacklist (and Conviction before) weren't real Splinter Cell games, their formula moved away from the original one fans loved.
Gears of war definitely needs one but for now we have space Marine 😅
The Emperor protects brother
At least Gears of War Emergence Day is coming out
I had a blast with Sleeping Dogs back in the day! The fighting Style, the new moves you learn from Sifu... it was just great :) Although I still curse the Grapplers... they taught me how to properly utilize the fighting system :)
Prince of Persia needs to come back and assassins creed needs to die
Prince Of Persia has haad 2 games in the past 12 months. It's already back.
Assassin's Creed died a long time ago. Ubisoft has just been dragging its corpse around for easy money.
How is half life not on this list
Not a franchise and I know more people have talked about it lately but cmon sony just give us a days gone 2 😭😭😭😭

@@haikaIhalim oh my b
Call Of Juarez was such a blast. I haven't played Cartel but the others were fantasticly simple but fun.
Wish someone would remake James Bond golden eye 🔥
So happy to see Timesplitters and Burnout being spoken about, I’d add SSX and NBA Street to that list too!
Burnout 3 blew me away when I got it. I was 13 or 14 and bought it with my PS2. It looked so awesome at the time and was very very fun, it still looks great. Damn now I'm probably going to get my PS2 out.
