2nd Order Effects

This video provides an introduction of how to account for 2nd order effects in compression element when the elastic buckling load factor is high enough that a specific 2nd order analysis does not have to be undertaken. Provisions discussed are in NZS 3404 for steel members.

Why we couldnot amplify the shear force also .why the code didnot give as an equation to amplify the shear load also..?

Good explanation but try to decrease the umms
