The method they are using to get the steel feed lips involves some sort of folding jig and welding the halves. Nothing I would trust my life to.

if they made only the back of the mag translucent and the rest a flat color so one else but you can see how many rounds you have left that would be sick
@royayers276 It's literally a well-known characteristic of transparent plastics in any industry. Of course, there are strong, clear plastics like polycarbonates, but building things like magazines out of it is kinda cost prohibitive.
How about an Sig 551 mag now? You could use the same material as this one. There are no mags for the 551 on the market. I don’t think it would take much to produce them

They cracked because you probably had gen 2s. Gen 3s don’t really have this problem. And the dust cover for storage removing tension off the feed lips, plus the improved polymer over gen 2 made feed lip cracking non existent in gen3
@@TonerLow30 round mag is longer than the pistol grip. 20 round mag is equal in length to the pistol grip. If shooting off a bag or bipod (prone) - 30 round mags are too long. If you’re shooting off the peak of a house (rooftop) you might need that extra maneuverability.

And you wont as long as you use factory ammo. When you reload with heavier ammo you will run into problems with a 5.56 magazine.
Never had a problem with supers or subs in regular Gen 2’s.

Gen 2's have had issues with feeding certain rounds and certain guns just heads up. Gen 3's fixed this with the better follower and geometry.

Nah, at the current price point and the fact that Lancer has steel feed lips I think they'll be just fine. Always good to have more options though.
