When I make a roast, I always use the au jus and the leftover meat to make beef barley soup. It’s a favorite of mine. Today I’m making a tomato tortellini soup, Italian style of course and some chicken. I don’t know what kind yet, but probably just a breaded cutlet, maybe pineapple chicken. Maybe just Hellman’s mayo chicken recipe which I think is yummy. Enjoy your day. It’s sunny and 50 degrees in Duluth Minnesota. Could be worse. My furnace isn’t firing. Repairman coming Monday. I have an oil furnace. If it can’t be repaired, I’m switching to natural gas. A good furnace should cost under $6000, a great one up to twice that amount. Good I’d good enough as I plan to sell my house within the next year. I just put on a new roof, got the breaker box fixed on Friday and have a ton to do. I may just stop and sell as is. Six of one half dozen of the other. I’m going to move to a new tiny house on one floor. I’m going to rent unless they sell them, then I’ll have to buy it. I can’t wait.

The great thing of vegetable soup. You use the veg you like. We put everything vthing but the sink😂. Zucchini, brussel sprouts , cabbage ect. Sweet a tree for thanksgiving 😊

I believe Tammy that God gave us dogs, cats & other critters to be family. I truly believe that He knows how much they have meant to us, so He has lots of room for our fur babies to run & play & await our time.

What a pretty fall tree. I just love Fall. Every Fall I make a Golden Pumpkin Cake like my Mother did, and a batch of Pumpkin Bread. Of course, Jerry already ate two loves. I am fixing to have Cataract surgery, so I want to cook up a few things, so if it turns a little cooler, I will make a big pot of soup. Your soup looked delicious. Beautiful day here in Kentucky. Husband and I got out picked up leaves. Tomorrow afternoon hope to get some more done.
I made some Kielbasa soup for supper tonight and some cornbread last night to have with chili beans. Kielbasa soup isn't exactly Southern, but it's delicious. I use Turkey Kielbasa from Aldi and onions, carrots, celery, potatoes, canned diced tomatoes, garlic and Italian seasoning. Plus chicken broth I make from stewing the bones and skin of a rotisserie chicken and then strain. Near the end, I add chopped spinach leaves and cook for a few minutes. It's very simple, healthy and good on a cold night.

I don’t know where you live but I live in California and there was a no way I can cook with water from the sink. They put so much toxic chemicals in it to supposedly clean it but personally I can’t get enough nutrients in my ur fruits and vegetables as a t s and the chemicals only makes your body sicker slowly. At my age, it’s organic and spring water only.

So sorry and sad to hear that Joann passed. I got so used to to seeing both dogs at your feet while cooking. I am sure that your other dog misses her. On another note, vegetable beef soup is my very favorite and my use to make it so good. She would put it in bags in the freezer for later on during cool weather. Soooo comforting.

I use a pkg. of Hormel Roast beef,
Organic vegetables potatoes carrots green beans onion garlic
baby butter beans okra, organic beef stock spicy V-8, cento crushed tomatoes and knorr beef bouillon. I put about (3) Tablespoons of butter into a cast iron skillet put in the oven (450)until it melts, then pour it
into my cornbread mixture. Bake until light golden brown. For my soup, I bring it to a boil then simmer on low about and hour and a half. Yum!!!
Yes and I forgot that I put celery in my soup. Celery is good for the pancreas and kidneys.
I am so sorry about JoAnn. I have two Maltese that are 12, brother and sister. They’re starting to show signs of their age. Makes me sad. Love your pretty fall tree and thx for the veggie soup recipe. Love you!

Tammy, I make that soup but call it "Hamburger Soup" and we love it. Watching you has made me hungry for it. We're trying to get fridge and leftovers gone because we head to AZ and our winter place next weekend. Will make it when we get down there.

Canning apple pie filling, I needed to sit while the last batch is in the canner, so thank you for giving me something good to watch. We didn’t get one trick or treater and I was going to give them granola bars if any showed up, I got tired of having stuff just in case I should leave a note on the door and say come back tomorrow night so I can buy the candy half price. Sorry for the loss of your pet.

✍Hello Tammy and Chris and fur babies🐾🐾 Oh I hate to hear that Joanne has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge to Heaven I truly believe that our fur babies🐾 RIP in Gods Arms in Heaven. God created the animals first and then Adam to name them so I'm pretty sure our animals are important to Him and that we will see them someday in Heaven. Tammy I never thought to use ground beef when I make homemade vegetable soup. I've always used the leftovers from a roast beef I've cooked with carrots, potatoes, onions and then added peas, corn, gr.beans, lima beans and diced tomatoes, tomato juice and beef bouillon. I also like a tomato based soup like you. I made some veg.soup 3-4 weeks ago and was able to freeze 2 quarts and since I didn't add any water but beef broth and tomato juice by it freezing it will be delicious when cooked to have when when the weather gets colder. You should use extra virgin olive oil or or avocado oil. Much healthier. No trans fats.
