Have you any experience with the automatic headlight switch that controls High beams in the 2015 460 GX not working? I bought the car used and the original sticker shows that it is equipped with auto dimming but that function does not work. is there something I can do to check out why that is true?

Long story short, she didn’t take the best care of it. I wanted to comment on this video because it’s the closest I’ve come to what I need help with. The top part of the assembly housing is broken. Just the painted part on the rear top assembly, that contains the 3rd brake light. Can I get just the top painted part somewhere? Your videos are awesome. These cars are awesome. I’m really looking forward to hearing back from you. Your videos are great. Keep it up!

There are plenty of GX460's parting out online through sites such as offerup and craigslist and also Ebay. Problem is it might not be the color you're looking for so expect to pay to have it repainted. Another solution is to buy aftermarket for around $100 on sites such as Aliexpress. If you have the mechanical and electrical aptitude to attack such a project, why not? Worst thing that happen is you fry your entire electrical system and it’s not covered under warranty. But then again, who cares, all of us got $70k lying around.

The reason why people are asking how to replace the third break light is because when backing out of the garage, both my wife and I thought the garage door was all the way up. It was not all the way up and the third break light smashed into the door, the handle of the garage door in particular which damaged the third break light. Both my wife and I did this and yes we both are idiots. 😑

I see an extra cooler there. Is that for the transmission? If so, I looked at your other videos and didn’t see that covered. Anyway you could just show how it’s mounted and the lines are ran?
I’m currently producing that video as we speak. It will show you my bracket design with dimensions. I also used isolation rubber washers to alleviate stresses to the transmission cooler frame common to the brackets. Hoping to get done with it within the week.
Great info. The rear wiper on my 2019 GX460 stopped working. The fluid will spray but no there is no wiper movement. I've checked all related fuses and made sure the back window is closed. Wondering if you have run into this. There is little on the internet about this.
I would put an ohm meter or test probe to the wiper motor to see if you’re getting juice. I can’t believe a 2019 wiper motor would go out already. The wiper motor and water spray motor are separate.
Was up Mr. GX BOB got a question,I don’t know if normal for all the GX460.Just notice this recently when I step on the gas pedal it won’t response and notice that there’s a little gap or like space when you press the gas pedal.
Something like that would be difficult to diagnose without physically being there. Our interpretation of normal might be different so i can’t suggest a throttle response controller or if there is actual slack in your pedal linkage.

Bob - great simple instructions - I had backed into the garage when the door wasn't quite open. Found a salvage spoiler in the same complex white color and with your help was able to complete the job myself for much less than it would cost at a shop.

Gx spoiler light is dinky by todays standards. U should make a light bar all across the spoiler by adding more brake lights in series. Not sure how hard would be to make it fit by making cut outs. Something to think about
The wiper motor is straightforward after the spoiler assembly comes off. I believe there are only 4 bolts holding the wiper motor on top then lift the window up and you'll see the 2 bolts i told you not to remove in this video. The 2 bolts belong to the wiper motor. Good luck.
Bob, you rock! My wife backed the GX into our garage door and totally busted the spoiler. I just bought a new one from Bell Lexus and installed in about 15 mins thanks to this video. SO appreciate your contributions to the GX community :)
Hey Jose, in order to do something like that, my waterpump have to have failed to give me a reason to leak out all my fluid and redo an entire coolant flush again. But you never know, it might just happen soon.

Always go with Amazon for their return policy. They carry 3rd brake lights for the GX for around $40-$50

Weird. The two 10mm bolts you said not to remove were missing on my GX. But there were 2 more that I had to remove to get the spoiler off.
