Wow. This is the first of its kind. Interpreting a solo at the end using line rider was insane. It must have been very hard to do but you pulled it off! There were multiple sections that I realized: “wow I am watching days worth of work going by in a few seconds”. Fantastic job as always.
its like dominoes. takes hours, even days, to set up, but lasts only a few minutes. thanks to youtube and other video outlets, everyone can appreciate their work. i just wish i could incorporate music alongside my lines. i want to do like i did back in HS and play the line side-by-side with music from the final fantasy franchise.
This is... amazing. A whole new kind of music visualization, and it's so wonderfully artistic and smooth. I love the attention to detail - I'll see the tiniest of things and know you put a ton of effort into making them work exactly the way they should, and I respect you a ton for that. I also quite like the song (though I can't imagine listening to it as many times as you must have). Your work is amazing and terribly underrated and I love it!
This is absolutely fantastic, especially the part starting at 2:18 I can't believe this only has 4k views. Great job, thank you for this masterpiece :D
The way you embodied the charecter of the song within a few lines is way beyond my comprehension. This might even be my most favorite line rider ever. Top notch.
There are so many words I want to say right now in so many ways, but they can all be broken down into one simple, yet powerful statement, one that is really the only truly worthy way of saying it in the English language; Beautiful
This is one of the few tracks I happened to see before the top 2018 playlist, it's fantastic. One of my favourite tricks will always be when you see some of the future track coming / it loops back through old territory in a different way. Ultimately the timing and motions are just so well done and amplify the tone of the song.
Watching this really makes me wonder just how far one could push the limits of Line Rider crossed with like, music theory itself. Matching certain motions or movements or whatever to certain pitches and then seeing how those harmonies work together to make some patterns occur or whatever. I dunno, I don't know a whole lot about LR. Still, this is phenomenal and I adore it.
This was so so good. This is nearing perfection from a line rider track. It was so smooth and well choreographed. The solo parts, look so amazing. So so cool. Love it.
I really love how smooth your lines and curves are I have made some ok musical traks before (not even half as good as yours don't know is I even still have them) but mine always are very rough and your's are Soo smooth
I haven't even started the video and I already know I'm going to love it. Ive been looking for something like this for this amazing song forever. Thank you for doing this - I also loved This Will Destroy You Thank you so much for this work of art. EDIT: this is now my favorite thing ever. I cannot express how perfect this is and how much I love this. My favorite song just got better.
I love geometry dash because of the way you can express the music on a screen, but this game gets the core of it and does it so much simpler and better. I love these videos.
Loved the song, and the track was incredible too. Both elements worked so well together- the song and track. It was the perfect balance. Great work all! Really really honored to have Tapeworm listed as an inspiration too in the credits too, wow.
I loved it overall, this will require re-watches. Thought I would give you some detailed feedback as you used to do for my tracks. The beginning for me had a lot of hit and misses especially with the pacing and some of the syncs. I started to love the track after 2:20 though. I thought that 2:20 to 2:50 was brilliant and I liked 4:00 to 4:30, but I thought after that point I was wondering why he was still in a tail manual, but I didn't know why, maybe the idea of a relaxed tail manual seems odd? (at least to me I dunno maybe a preference thing) I liked everything after 6:00 all those synced manuals worked so well with the jazzy stylish/suave kinda vibe. At 6:44 to 6:49 though it felt like bosh should have sped up or something to match that sudden sustained note especially as it was dominating the other notes you synced instead. The ending was awesome, I thought that was a really great way of showing the tension/intensity of the sustained note .
This is beautiful, as others have said as well. One part I would like to point out that hasn't been mentioned by others yet but particularly struck me, is 5:09 to 5:14. :)
It's actually a challenge that dates back to 2007! They're called "manual tracks". This one breaks the rules here and there but it definitely keeps in the spirit of a manual track
Rabid Squirrel / Ben Harvey holy christ i didnt expect you to respond...huge fan of your work and ifi was working and had a steady income atm i would pay you to make a vid for the final fantasy soundtrack "Battle of the Bridge", often called battle with gilgamesh.
Not only do they know about it, they liked it so much they hired me to make a lyric video for their new single Hard Times! It's on my channel if you want to check it out
I took a break April through June but I'm working on some stuff again since July and I've got a couple very exciting projects that should both be due out in September!
The biggest reason was large gaps (months, sometimes over a year) of not working on it. Another reason was the struggle to find collaborators who could do sections that I couldn't get right. Third reason was mild bouts of depression. And last but not least, line rider work can be tedious so it's hard to work on a project for more than a couple hours at a time.
no, just took a break April - June. I have no less than three commissions coming out in the next couple months. One is done but not out yet, another is mostly done, and a third is just getting started.

that's very high praise when its coming from you

I’m really happy that I stumbled into this community, your channel in particular. These tracks are strangely moving. It’s hard to describe...

Thanks so much for the lovely comment!
TheRGMGuy01 what you said! Love this!

Beautiful
This track was included in the Top 10 Tracks of 2018 video on this channel!
One of my new favorite songs. Great work.
Dude, at the end, your rotating of the rider to the tune of the sax is ingenious.

This is exactly how the song feels. I am mesmerized by this video.

Four years and these are still great.
This was so so good. This is nearing perfection from a line rider track. It was so smooth and well choreographed. The solo parts, look so amazing. So so cool. Love it.
The drums and sax synchronization work so well. Awesome job Ben!
I’m loving the way the different feels of the song are interpreted. I really like this track. Well done.
everything was perfect and all the smallest moves were intentional im blown away with this
This song means a lot to me and I really appreciate all the work that went into this beautiful representation of it
I've seen 3 of your videos so far and loved all 3 of them! You all have many talents!
I really love how smooth your lines and curves are I have made some ok musical traks before (not even half as good as yours don't know is I even still have them) but mine always are very rough and your's are Soo smooth
Mostly it's just taking it real slow and making one line at a time :)
Bravo! This is one of my favorite songs and you laid it out beautifully. Nice job!
Was fun to watch this come together on stream for the times I was there. Loved the end result and music. Definitely going to listen to that one later.
Okay you win the internet.
This song is a masterpiece, and this video captures the feeling it gives me so much.
Bravo, one of my absolute favourites
Man, it's crazy how far line rider has come, people like me are still enjoying amazing rides like these, keep it up!
Great as always. Words can never do this level of talent justice.
This was utterly fantastic!
One of the best rides I think I've ever seen, and hands down my all time favorite.
Coming back to the vid that introduced me to Guster 🥰
I actually had a tear in my eye at the end
This is so great! I don't understand why it doesn't have more views...
So soothing, so fluid... Well done!
That trumpet part!! Good job!
I don't really know why but these kind of videos really remind me of figure skating
You're making the world a better place!
Amazing work.
This is antoher awesome way to visualize music, see it and feel it.
Keep it up man!
this video has been a huge comfort to me ever since highschool

TALK ABOUT INNOVATION. What a track!!! I love it. Great job rabid and everyone involved :)
Thanks for those three seconds you made! :)
Like and shared, because this is one of the best, if not the best, Line Rider videos I have seen. Keep it up!
ohhh my that ending was lovely
I haven't even started the video and I already know I'm going to love it. Ive been looking for something like this for this amazing song forever. Thank you for doing this - I also loved This Will Destroy You
Thank you so much for this work of art.
EDIT: this is now my favorite thing ever. I cannot express how perfect this is and how much I love this. My favorite song just got better.
That's so cool that you already knew the song! I'm glad you liked it!
this has to be the greatest line rider animation, great job
Great job man! I like the flow to the music.
So great!!! I it’s always astounding to me how well you know this software and make it work in a meaningful way!
Amazing music!! And fun ending! 😃👍👍
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing
This is beautifully visualised and synced.
I love geometry dash because of the way you can express the music on a screen, but this game gets the core of it and does it so much simpler and better. I love these videos.
So damn good! Made me fall in love with the song. Well done!
Great music and video. Works perfectly together. Had to go find this song and add it to my music list.
Outstanding.
Bravo!
One of the odd things i consider is that what wrre watching is a movie made by Bosch as he goes out on a ride. The music is cranked on his stereo.
Nice work dude, nice work.
What a wild ride!
Very expressive, great job man
i'm sorry.....this doesn't have 100 billion views.....this...is..amazing
Wonderful.. loved it!
This is wonderful
Don't mind me, just back for the weekly viewing XD
this is beautiful
Loved the song, and the track was incredible too. Both elements worked so well together- the song and track. It was the perfect balance. Great work all!
Really really honored to have Tapeworm listed as an inspiration too in the credits too, wow.
Heck yeah! Tapeworm was really the starting point for me thinking about Bosh moving... in dialogue with a line? (for lack of a better phrase)
SMOOTH AS HELL OMG 11/10
Love the ending!
artistic masterpiece

the only unsatisfiying part of this vid is when it ended

Really enjoyed it.
This is really awesome!
Oh my fucking god I thought guster was so niche nobody knew it. Thankyou
Great! Just love it
I'd really like to see how you interpret Lateralus by Tool in this medium.
U just raised the bar!
thanks for getting me into guster
Holy Shit that guitar solo!
i’ve been to ruby falls :) in tennessee
i have no idea whats going on but i love guster so

the only thing I would do in this game was to find a way to make him fall off his sled
there is no way you could suvive this but i will bet anyone with 100k if they would dare to do this IRL :P
Please tell me that Guster know about this.
Not only do they know about it, they liked it so much they hired me to make a lyric video for their new single Hard Times! It's on my channel if you want to check it out
"Emery" band.

Come back
You should post updates or extra content ;p it's been 4 months
I took a break April through June but I'm working on some stuff again since July and I've got a couple very exciting projects that should both be due out in September!
Awesome but why did it take u so long(2.5 years) ddddddduuuuuuuuuuddddddddddeeeeeee

Did you quit yt
