I don’t think there’s a word for the emotion that this makes me feel... It’s like, when you’re standing in a place with lots of memories. They make you smile, but you can’t spend long here without needing to cry because you know that it won’t be the same. Not quite nostalgia, not quite melancholy, not both but not neither.

I’m writing this in the lobby of the hospital as my mother is in a critical condition. Since the diagnosis I never cried about what might happen. I also did not play this song because I knew what kind of emotions it would stir and I did not want to break in front of her. But tonight, as I lay here in the lobby chair with a bottle of water, a blanket, and a prayer, I listened knowing it might be the last time I could cry freely. Thank your Marten.

You have built some of the most amazing and unique pieces of musical creation I have ever seen. The methods with which you think to create music, and the endless love you so apparently put into not only your music but also your instruments is inspiring. This is one of my favorite pieces of all time, and it is played by only two instruments. Martin, you have created such a hauntingly beautiful composition that I will love until the end of my days, and I know that I am not alone. You have inspired me to make my own projects and follow my own dreams in creating things, and for that I am eternally grateful.
It's weird. This affected my emotions in such a way that I could feel my heartbeat in my upper arms. There's something magical about the music of wintergatan. I hope to listen to him in concert one day.

It's a feeling of emptiness before it even ends, you are fully aware that your time is up, so you start to look at everything more closely, as if that would make the moment last longer... This song, means very much to me now, and I hope it will continue doing so in the future. When I look back to this, I want to think: "All Was Well"...

This is the sweetest thing I have ever heard. Have been secretly a fan for quite some time. I am finally coming out of the shadows for just a moment to show my love. If I'm sad, or needing a tender moment, this is where I go...since it doesn't come from our relationships ad much as we imagine up. Music is the place I retreat to that has all of the love anyone ever needs. That's music, in a nutshell.
I have to say, you're so much more than just your viral hits. Your appreciation for sound is something to be reveled in and accepted as a part of this world's history. It is good friend. I thank you.

He’s literally almost done with the MMX right now! He’s currently working on finishing up the vibraphone, and then he’ll have the bass and the ondophone left to build up. Then it’s finally world tour time!

i think that from Harry Potter. “The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years. All was well.” cause I think Martin like, he love about Harry Potter, I already hear he say "Dementor" and make it into Video in Sommarfågel.

No one important passing by don'tmind me... but thank you. Um. Right now my life is in a real bad spot and it's hard for me to cry sometimes or process the pain I feel. And one night I stumbled onto this song and I just started crying. A good cry. Letting it all wear away, like song was letting me process my grief and trouble. It's currently something I listen to frequently to cope with and keep crying along too when I need it. Thank you for this song... thank you. It spoke to me. And idk if I'll be alright but thank you for letting me listen to this song. And thank you for making it.
I had come to listen to this again on another late night today... I am overwhelmed by the positivity left for me I don't know how to you tube comment but like thank you everyone. I'm doing a bit better now. I'm just going day by day and, these messages here reminded me why I should continue to. Thank you again for everything and how much this song has come to mean to me.

Wintergatan could beat Thanos alone. Music tames the savage breast.
Maybe you guys meant Martin...
Relateable!
Очень красивая музыка. Будто что-то давно утеряно но нашлось .....
You are loved Wintergatan. Thank you for all you do Martin, Wintergatan, and all the lovers and sharers of beauty. Have a happy day 🤸❣️
Вы просто молодец, что творите такую замечательную и великолепную музыку!!!! Дай вам бог здоровья!!!
I have to say, you're so much more than just your viral hits. Your appreciation for sound is something to be reveled in and accepted as a part of this world's history. It is good friend. I thank you.
It's amazing how such a simple thing can bring tears to my eyes
It ain't simple though. But I agree. It's beautiful
i dont thing same. this things not simple at all. but yea its emotional
I love this channel as the creator actually made something himself, and then play muse using the exact perfrct stuff that he built
Спасибо большое за вошебную музыку! Здоровья и счастья Вам! Удачи в творчестве!
i feel like walking in the heaven thinking about the past, with all of the human's pain and beauty in the world
Humanity.... this music makes me remind humanity
So sad and so beautiful
Thank you so much l love all of your works
Достойно уважения. 👏 Это прямо, как волшебство, музыка одушевлена, очень мелодична и трогает сердце с первых нот. 🎵
This type of people let the music guide him to a world of light, without shadows , a world that i can enter when a person touches with so much heart and soul
I always come back for this song, so much beauty and sadness melding into such a wonderful pairing of instruments.
Cool modulin its like a violin from the future
And it sounded like a theremin
A vegan violin
Otamatone?
Seria mais parecido com um piano não acha?
The future is now
Anyone 2019? Still feels like the pinnacle of awesomeness for me (pesonally)
Every few weeks I will be back here for peace of mind.
Just wait. Marble Machine X is coming!
@@jiushibushuo me too
He’s literally almost done with the MMX right now! He’s currently working on finishing up the vibraphone, and then he’ll have the bass and the ondophone left to build up. Then it’s finally world tour time!
Here nearly 2020.
The genius it took to think of this music instrument and yet this world is going to hell in a hand basket. Why can't we all just live in peace?
8 years after this came out and man it still hits harder than anything I’ve ever heard
Why did I start crying from this? The tears keep coming.
Beautiful composition! He probably doesn't realize just how brilliant he really is!
He does.
Juuso Alasuutari
And you know that from firsthand experience?
+FOAD RIGHTNOW I don't. I know because it's true.
Trust me, when people are good at something, they know.
Now that'd be true stupidity.
Спасибо ОГРОМНОЕ за эту капельку волшебства.......
👩🏻Incredibly beautiful notes, quite soothing to the soul.. Completely stress free! This definitely has to, be used, in Anger Management classes. It takes you to your happiness place. Thank you.
This person would've been Da Vinci in the past.
Yes
Our world is filled with more Da Vincis per capita than any other time in history.
@@Lets-Go-Family cite source? Thought our generation is the dumbest
@@mvrdara Eh, I just heard that somewhere. Probably not true per capita, but likely true in population due to shear number of people on Earth.
This was the most wonderful melody I've ever heard in my entire life!, I've never cried with a song and I'm proud that this is the first one :'3
Devouring everything you have done since only recently discovering your MMX developments. Truly incredible.
I watched this video a few years ago and now I'm watching it again.
Even more sadness when i realized it's 'was', not 'is'.
All was, but still could be...
It WAS also INTENTIONAL
☹️
I've always thought that it was All As Well, and only now I realize that doesn't make any sense
i think that from Harry Potter.
“The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years. All was well.”
cause I think Martin like, he love about Harry Potter, I already hear he say "Dementor" and make it into Video in Sommarfågel.
The modulin sounds a LOT like a theremin but more controlled
Agreed.
or a violin especially the vibrato parts
your not from this time man, you are a time traveler or something like that , and you are a genius, i love your music ! 😎👏👏👏👏👏👏
Maybe parallel universe
Fun fact: its true
I love this. Its almost a hauntingly beautiful. Like when you reflect on something. Its hard to explain what it made me feel. I felt like crying but at the same time happy.
Where can I donate all my money to you?
buy their music wintergatan.bandcamp.com/
Donate and hopefully he won't have to live in a cave anymore. :c
liar lol
i am here
hey it's me your brother
no joke you are extremely talented! I love your work! absolutely mesmerizing!
"Wintergatan was able to build this in a cave! With a box of scraps!"
theviewerofart boii he is music man
No, he created this in his home. Using a box of legos, wires, boards, sensors and other stuff. /s
NoThrottle 2 it's a joke. Referring to iron man 1. And the joke fits because his old workshop seems to have a cave wall
theviewerofart é muito legal o mundo é tão bom quanto em contato com ostromento em vento. legal.
The MacGywer under the Music Artists :D
My grandmother passed away 8 years ago. This song makes me remember her. Love this song ❤❤❤
And my grandfather just past away today
This isn't music! This is a medicine for our hearts! Thank you
My dog died today
She was 18 and was the best dog I've ever had
This song gave me one last fond memory of her

RIP Juneau
May her rest in peace
No one important passing by don'tmind me... but thank you. Um. Right now my life is in a real bad spot and it's hard for me to cry sometimes or process the pain I feel. And one night I stumbled onto this song and I just started crying. A good cry. Letting it all wear away, like song was letting me process my grief and trouble. It's currently something I listen to frequently to cope with and keep crying along too when I need it. Thank you for this song... thank you. It spoke to me. And idk if I'll be alright but thank you for letting me listen to this song. And thank you for making it.
same here my friend I hope your sadness melts away
Never loose hope.
Di ana awweee i do hope u feel better
I had come to listen to this again on another late night today... I am overwhelmed by the positivity left for me I don't know how to you tube comment but like thank you everyone. I'm doing a bit better now. I'm just going day by day and, these messages here reminded me why I should continue to. Thank you again for everything and how much this song has come to mean to me.
Sometimes,it’s all right to cry...let it all out...😌😌😌...then,you’ll be calmer...
He is in tune with his soul much more than most humans.
no one gonna ask why he's in a cave?
i just noticed that
acoustics
kapil busawah caves have terrible acoustics unless you put up some sound proofing,
***** garage band logic
kapil busawah fair enough
I wish i had the knowledge and time to do what you do. I miss performing and after this video ill probably be fantasizing about playing that Modulin
Wintergatan are you a musician, engineer, inventor, wizard, story teller or what? Sooooo amazingly beautiful..
He so creative! I really enjoy all his inventions.
