I just don't get it. They had such a great foundation in Black Flag to build on, and instead they decided to remove everything fun but the naval combat and then spend the next 10 years giving it a slight graphical upgrade. After playing the beta, it's a definite no from me.

And let’s include timber-felling, because pirates absolutely did backbreaking labor instead of just stealing resources and sailing vessels from those who already did the hard work. Pirates also used flame throwers aboard their very flammable ships, and frequently had to endure the struggles of sail stamina when trying to either close the distance or flee other vessels.
You need to be absolutely blind to say black flag look better than this, there is no other explanations, like even watching this on mobile it’s obvious that black flag graphics are inferior

The weight of the ship in skull and bone is none existence. Ships feels like a tiny raft. While in black flag you feel the weight the wave and the vibe. Gonna play black flag again.
It's funny, they just talked about their work on the water dynamics in skull and bones in the Ubisoft Forward stream talking about how they tried to make it realistic, watched some side by side clips of skull and bones compared to ac4 and I was like "yeaaahhhh... riiight..."
The first comparison alone is enough to tell the games apart. The fact you can just walk on an island as well as swim seeing a ship in the distant which was probably his ship. Showing the amount of exploration in a game 10+ years ago which for some reason can't be duplicated now is strange. It's like nasa trying to go back to the moon but can't for some reason.

Where did you get that this can’t be duplicated ? There are plenty of games where you can swim to your ship just not skull and bones. NASA never said they aren’t able to go back to the moon, they said it would be harder now cause they have less ressources and didn’t keep the technology. There is a moon landing planned in 2026, I hope this will definitely make people like you shut up but I’m sure you will find reason to not believe it.

The splashes from cannon fire in SaB looks like someone just greenscreened a hand slamming on a tub of water, while AC4 has it look like large bodies of water flying into the air in little drops of water like it should look.
@@ni9274 There's not much videos you can find for cannons firing into water for reference, but look up water explosions, and you'll see they look more like the AC4 blasts than in SaB. Large amounts of water flying into the area wouldn't hold together like a smaller splash.

I am with 100+ hours in S&B and I am thinking in start playing black flag instead. This game It's like Far Cry could have evolved but stopped on FC4. To much modern audience speech, two pirate towns and no evidence of a brothel, and not to speak about the muilti gender crew, waited six years for this game and I am disapointed.
Although the ship battles weren't bad in Black flag I always preferred boarding and battling it out, it was always so claustrophobic as there were so many people but fun aswell. This is a massive letdown considering Ubisoft done really well with Black flag, it's sheer laziness. Where is the passion in these companies jheeze hire someone that actually has a passion for making games.

I just checked: Skull & Bones needs 65GB of storage space and a minimum of 8GB RAM Do you know what Assassin's Creed Black Flag needs? 30GB storage and 4GB RAM on recommended settings! AC Black Flag, AC Freedom Cry, AC Rouge were the best naval games from Ubisoft. Also they had great stories and scenarios. I like them even more than Ezio's trilogy. Origins, Odissey and Valhalla have good graphics. But they are not AC anymore. And have absolutely stupid stories as if scenarios were written by 12-yo scenarists.

So guys hear me out, we have a quadruple A game here. The CEO said it himself this is the greatest game of all time. Ok ok, so I may have been laughing a little too hard typing that. I've got about an hour and a half in Skull & Bones and I've never had a single game be so horrible that I wanted to unsubscribe from a monthly membership service. Like it was so bad that if I wasn't playing AC Mirage I'd probably uninstall the Ubi launcher all together and never touch another Ubi game. Sadly, I can't do that if I wanna play the superior AC4: Black Flag so guess I'll suffer on having Ubi on my desktop. Still, like this was bad and I'm going to say it now that Ubi's going to let the game die out.
Skull and Bones is as messy as it is because it was passed around to different project leads multiple times and each one of them had a different idea of what the game should look like. Which is why Skull and Bones has "classes" for their ships. It was at one point going to be a PvP hero shooter with ships. Make no mistake, Ubisoft had no fucking idea what they were doing with this game and after floundering with it for almost 7 years called it "the first AAAA game" with a $70 price tag. It's probably worth $30 or $40. Not $70.

A pirate game with Odyssey's open world and black flag's sea adventuring was the least i would expect. Instead the game has Black Flag's open world and Odyssey's Sea adventuring.

I played Skull and Bones on closed beta and it was shocking .The crafting is a joke and there is no boarding just a cinematic

I am with 100+ hours in S&B and I am thinking in start playing black flag instead. This game It's like Far Cry could have evolved but stopped on FC4. To much modern audience speech, two pirate towns and no evidence of a brothel, and not to speak about the muilti gender crew, waited six years for this game and I am disapointed.
Although the ship battles weren't bad in Black flag I always preferred boarding and battling it out, it was always so claustrophobic as there were so many people but fun aswell. This is a massive letdown considering Ubisoft done really well with Black flag, it's sheer laziness. Where is the passion in these companies jheeze hire someone that actually has a passion for making games.
You know what's really crazy? I just checked: Skull & Bones needs 65GB of storage space and a minimum of 8GB RAM
Do you know what Assassin's Creed Black Flag needs? 30GB storage and 4GB RAM on recommended settings!
How on God's green Earth is a 10+ year old video game with half the system requirements still offer a more expansive world with more game mechanics and even better graphics?!?! This is insane!

AC Black Flag, AC Freedom Cry, AC Rouge were the best naval games from Ubisoft. Also they had great stories and scenarios.
I like them even more than Ezio's trilogy.
Origins, Odissey and Valhalla have good graphics. But they are not AC anymore. And have absolutely stupid stories as if scenarios were written by 12-yo scenarists.
Black Flag when Blackbeard is talking about Kenway at night in the trailer.. Gives chills and purpose to his badassness.. Skull and Bones looks disappointing. Black Flag II is needed but I'd settle for a full remake of Black Flag..

So guys hear me out, we have a quadruple A game here. The CEO said it himself this is the greatest game of all time. Ok ok, so I may have been laughing a little too hard typing that. I've got about an hour and a half in Skull & Bones and I've never had a single game be so horrible that I wanted to unsubscribe from a monthly membership service. Like it was so bad that if I wasn't playing AC Mirage I'd probably uninstall the Ubi launcher all together and never touch another Ubi game. Sadly, I can't do that if I wanna play the superior AC4: Black Flag so guess I'll suffer on having Ubi on my desktop. Still, like this was bad and I'm going to say it now that Ubi's going to let the game die out.
Skull and Bones is as messy as it is because it was passed around to different project leads multiple times and each one of them had a different idea of what the game should look like. Which is why Skull and Bones has "classes" for their ships. It was at one point going to be a PvP hero shooter with ships.
Make no mistake, Ubisoft had no fucking idea what they were doing with this game and after floundering with it for almost 7 years called it "the first AAAA game" with a $70 price tag. It's probably worth $30 or $40. Not $70.

Black Flag is witohut doubt my favourite assassin game, but i also loved how Odyssey was even more open world and less restricting. A pirate game with Odyssey's open world and black flag's sea adventuring was the least i would expect. Instead the game has Black Flag's open world and Odyssey's Sea adventuring.
Ain't noway there's no swimming and underwater exploration in a game they claim is quadruple A. A Quadruple A game would have everything. It wouldn't be missing any type of exploration

Ubisoft literally could've just given us the same player mechanics that we had in ac4 and it would be fine, maybe a little less parkour and no assiassin sense but aside from that, much could've been the same, heck Rdward wasn't even a creed member, he was just a pirate, but he could still do all the parkour, as well as soldiers chasing you and curriers running away, combat wouked nicely too

Ubisoft began to be lazy or something. All you had to do, was to copy all the good things from AC and make it better not worse, use the damn Unreal Engine 4 already! Greedy bastards your Game engine sucks. I had in mind to order this game but I will pass, thanks IGR you saved my money.
I am curious why it took 8 years to make HALF of AC4 BF. How hard was it? ALL they had to do was listen to Fans. AC4 BF with all pirate and no Assassin. A pure pirate version of BF, not a pure pirate version of HALF of BF, lol
I was watching this video comparisons to black flag thinking that it was and indie or another company, but omg ubisoft how the f you can make almost the perfect pirate videogame with black flag 4 and then 10 years later you just have to improve graphics, some bugs, but not even that, you make a almost similiar (worst) in graphics, and trashing the mechanics you master 10 years ago, that is why I still go to play black flag

What a joke. A pirate that can’t swim... there’s just no improvements at all. Even in odyssey ramming a ship could break it or even split it in two. The character model looks comical. And I hate how they just threw historical accuracy out out the window. I might try it for free but it looks so bad.
I pre-ordered the Skull and Bones with huge hype and when it released I started to play with same hype and now I can say that there is no reason to play this shit instead of AC4. Just waste of money and time. One of the suck Ubi's game
