awwww.....i was hearing the baby!!! he sounded so sweet. Indians from India like to grind up their "Garam Masala" fresh. They have no idea about out local curry powders and the taste and flavors are worlds apart. This is awesome that you made yours from scratch....:)

Thanks for sharing the process in such a comprehensive way. Now I can adjust the ingredients to my taste. No chili and fenugreek for me.

Thanks for sharing your recipe. Got one questions for you. What brand of spice grinder do you use? I'm conflicted about which one to get. Thanks in advanced

This is a nice Madras curry powder, if you double the turmeric powder then you get a more Jamaican Curry powder.

you can get the hand mill on Amazon , I got this spice grinder from bedbath and beyond. to be honest if you use this you will take forever because it's very small.

oh ok yes I have a few of those small one and it does take me a long time for that reason I dont like using it, and I dont have time to be setting up the old grind mill that my parents use so am looking for a decent size grinder that does the job of your spoce grinder, Ill take a look on amozon, thank you.

no problem. try a food processor ,but one with good horse power so it will grind it fine.

Hello Natasha; I will definitely try this recipe because I cannot get to Trinidad as often as I would like, and the store bought stuff is wearing thin on flavor. My question is.. The Chili Powder you mentioned, is that grounded dried peppers, or actual store bought Chili Powder ? Thanks.
