I love the kid is filming! Its like he's looking up to his dad, watching his dad do dad things! My dad did a lot of things but he wasn't a skateboarder 🤙🤜
bit of info for anyone looking into a Trip....im running 150mm Paris RKP trucks with 88 McFly wheels and Orangatang Orange bushings, at 165lbs i can easily get the wheels to bite so have installed cupped washers board and road side so problem solved! i have run the board with paris street trucks which dont cause wheel bite but then dont turn as well. Did a 21 mile skate on it yesterday and its pretty effortless, when compared to my Loaded Icarus i did twice the distance for the same calorie burn on the Trip. its truly a mile muncher!
Hi, yes I have, front and rear and it’s an improvement. I also picked up a Supersonic which turns better than the trip and pumps really well too. Personally I much prefer the supersonic.
@@Simon-df2ku Hey man, I also got the Trip recently with the same trucks and wheels. But I get wheel bite when I try to turn to the max. =( I ordered the purple nips and it's on the way! Did you use the cupped washers that came stock with the trucks?
Hi yes I did and they work but only by making contact with the truck which isn’t perfect. My final solution was to use Sabre bushings, specifically their carve kit which does a much better job than the orangutang. If you have to really lean on the board to cause bite then it’s worth riding it as is, as the bushings will harden after a few rides. The Sabre looks like it might make the problem worse but because it’s a barrel and a cone it does the opposite, I also mix durometer sometimes to fine tune.
Looking for input from anybody here, on one of my trucks the nipples don't fit "flush", the hanger is biting a small section of both bushings so they are being deformed as they are slightly "leaking" out if that makes sense instead of sitting in nicely like the other set. Using the Hard Nipples and Paris V3 165mm 50 degrees (front and back).
Bart De Vuyst we tried it out and it makes very little difference with the stock Paris barrel sized cupped washer. Like almost none. Which tells me that the bushing really fits well into its seat, because if it didnt, the bushing would be sliding a little bit and that cup would be doing a lot more work. So personally I’m into the flats but you might get just the slightest bit more restriction out of the cup. A tighter cup might make more of a difference though! I think this is fine to ride like this though. I set up some yellows (hard) and was impossible to bite but personally I found them too restrictive for my 170 lbs. I am a purple guy myself. Nice middle ground
You have an extra Pantheon for a charitable contribution toward the quality of my life in regards to the extent of gratitude displayed in random, but not always random, acts of downhill carving and the exercise (as well as the above mentioned gratitude displayed) of the precision of the equipment used while doing so? I'd appreciate it if so, if not I appreciate the show of how the bushings works with those trucks and that board. Nice urethane.
I have Trip 9 ply,150 Paris Tucks , and weigh 200 lbs. So, should I go with Orangutang orange nipples, medium purple ? Let me know ASAP please .Thanks ! Also ,about the Don't Trip Poppy's trucks , do they sit lower than the Paris trucks? What makes them better than the Paris ?
I gotta say, that's some impressive camerawork going on here :) But thanks for the installation tips and review!

Thanks for this! Really useful as I might splash on a trip. Have you tried a barrel-cone set up at the front maybe?

How did you set up your Supersonic?
The beveled edge of the bushing goes against the washer

Great video. How do you like cupped washers for more restriction?

@@PantheonLongboards Thanks a lot for your time and knowledgable answer!
Will these fit in the old randell S-11 180mm trucks ?
do they fit and work in bear trucks ?

Can 180mm hangers with flipped Kegals keep them from biting on the trip? Want a trip deck but I can't find 150 mm Paris hangers that sell separately
The above video showed 150 mm hangers with 85 mm wheels (Seismic Speedvents). Kegels are 80 mm, so with 180 mm hangers you should be safe from bite.
Goodman 4525 I set up a friend’s and tested 180s and flipped 77mm Speed Vents with success. I believe flipped Kegels will work based off of that.
@@PantheonLongboards I measured 145mm between the inner lips when I flipped the kegals. Does it still clear that?
Goodman 4525 it should be fine! There’s more than 2.5mm offset on the Seismic Speed Vents, so that’s wider than what we are running!

Была похожая проблема, колеса цеплялись за края на мягких бушах, деки трип, в общем поставил вошер чашку и стало норм)
90a is good for 9 ply or 86a if your really light
RKP or street trucks for the trip?
