Great to see a pilot pushing it every once in a while. Part of a show is to display the aircrafts capebilities and not just to take cool pictures. Too many pilots don't get that.
They train really aggressive, believe it or not. The doctrine is to train as close to combat conditions as possible. It has taken it's toll over the years, but the effect is that they have great pilots. Arguably top 3 in the world and also probably bar none of the other 2.

I'm guessing that this is the C model and is only a hint at what the new E model will be able to do. Why is it that this airframe isn't flying with more Air Forces in the world? I am no expert in the economics of fighters but, for the price compared to others, this seems like a hell of a fighter.

Wow this jet holds its energy when it turns. So much so that sometimes it almost looks like it sped up through the turn. All fighters bleed energy when they pull high g turns but this jet looks like it barely loses any. Delta wing fighters are notorious for this as well idk how they do it. The roll rate is insane too. The su 35 can flat spin but dogfighting is all about energy conservation. I wonder how modern dogfighting will shake out as you have helmet mounted displays and dont need to chase other planes. Its supposed to come down to who has the bigger radar and spots the other jet first so they can fire bvr. Well see.

JAS 39 Gripen is armed with the worlds best AA long range missile (meteor) and sensors. Atleast the F-35 would have no chance. And you would get 2 gripen for the price of one F-35 with much lower service cost.

Damn awesome aircraft. Super low maintenance costs are a huge bonus over the costlier US planes. Having 3 more planes in the air is an advantage.

THERE IS A STINKING RUSSIAN COMMENTING GRIPEN. IF AIRCRAFTS SUCKS IT IS CERTANLY RUSSIAN, THESE ACROBATIC PERFORMANCE THEY PERFORM WILL NOT DO IN HIGH SPEEDS. AND THE QUALITY WELL INDIA HAS SOME EXPERIANCE OF THAT I DO BELEIVE
It has got nothing spectacular but but running up and down, bcoz perhaps it has got an engine that's all.
