    Marc, I'm so glad you and Alex are working so hard to support this platform and keep it living!

      I'm having a lot of fun doing this, as long as people keep buying parts i will keep supporting the platform.

    Nice back drop. Almost thought that engine was magically floating lol

      But the better question is, did you figure out what kind of engine it was? :)

    Suggestion on the studs studs not bottoming out, put an appropriate sized ball bearing in the blind hole to bottom them out on, then torqueing the nuts won't be an issue.

    It’s funny you mention about the 11/13/15/18 sizes. I used to buy older vibes and part them out, it was insane how many bolts were swapped to these janky sizes. I’d be under the car just screaming why!

    • @FrankensteinMotorworks
      @FrankensteinMotorworks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wish the JIS sizes were easier to get for most people. Online store like belmetric.com/ can supply everything quite easily but it takes longer than just getting a bolt locally. But it frustrates the hell out of me to run across goofy hardware on a car.

    Are the upgraded head bolts for when you eventually boost the 2ar, or needed for your NA build?

    • @FrankensteinMotorworks
      @FrankensteinMotorworks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm using it on the NA version but i have intentions on getting stupid with the fuel types in my experimentations.

    headers in stock for quite some time. six months later. they are sold out.

    • @FrankensteinMotorworks
      @FrankensteinMotorworks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's temporary, they will be back in stock before the end of the year. I do my best to avoid going out of stock but sometimes i screw up.

    Fuck me I was working on my girlfriends Jeep and it used 19, 17 and 15mm bolts! WTF Who does that!

    • @FrankensteinMotorworks
      @FrankensteinMotorworks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Anyone that isn't a Japanese car manufacturer. JIS stands for Japanese Industrial Standard and has all kinda of really cool things in the spec that makes Japanese cars a lot easier to work on. i don't understand why other manufacturers haven't adopted a similar standard.

    • @WilliamJasonSherwood
      @WilliamJasonSherwood 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FrankensteinMotorworks It does baffle me that more don't just use the JIS! It's brilliant.

    • @evilthorne
      @evilthorne 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@WilliamJasonSherwood look how long it took, and is taking for Americans to adopt the metric system. It is better in every way! Even the bolts are better, “semi” fine thread for more holding force, drill size for a tap is just diameter minus thread pitch. Super easy
