Bro when she says the quail eggs exploded with flavor, SHE MEANS IT. Those are my favorite things to get at hot pot because it just pops on your mouth!
Cow's stomach soup is bad ass!! That's basically what we, mexicans, know as Menudo or Pancita and we tend to eat it the sunday mornings after the Church Mass or after a party when we have a hungover. It's freaking delicious and the texture is so fun to eat.
i will never not love the enthusiasm you have for food as a person -- it seeps out from you as a genuine passion for food and everything it has to offer from its texture, aesthetics, and especially taste ! not to mention the whole experience !
Fun fact:mushrooms are very similar to skin, which is why if you lay them in the sun for about an hour before consuming them, they can be a great vitamin D source
Fun fact, the outer shell of mushrooms is made of Chitin! (What insect shells are made of!) But its evolved to be soft and flesh like rather than hard and shell like to allow the absorption of vitamins like Vitamin D.
Bro you made me realize that food that maybe I won’t like won’t kill me. (unless it has something wrong with it or I’m allergic) Your videos have made me more willing to try new food, and many different new things. Thank you so much!
I love how you try new things! I know lots of people that won't eat most of those because they think its weird like pork intestines and just that kind of asian food
I love how she said that you have to try the exotic meats because as a Chinese myself, every time i tell someone i’ve had tripe or pig feet they always think it’s disgusting. Every culture has their own way of eating and preparing and in Chinese culture, we enjoy exotic meats ! ❤

I've been to Dai Long Yi Hot Pot in NYC before and my god the Chinese spice tolerance is on a whole nother level. I thought my spice tolerance was extremely high (i.e. can't taste spice in Thai chili peppers anymore) but turns out it is just very high in America. I got low spice hot pot so my girlfriend can try also and and the menu said that true Chinese people eat extra spicy. When the hot pot came out I ate my first bite and I was coughing so much but it was so tasty. I basically was coughing the whole time I was there, not to mention I drank probably a gallon of water also but it was so satisfying and honestly it was the spiciest thing I have ever ate. The next day was horrific though 😂
the thing is, the spicy level of haidilao is nowhere near the real deal sichuan hot pot, lol. I always order extra spicy and extra numb "加麻加辣"when I go to haidilao😂😂
