Solid review of both racks! I have the original "super duty single 2" rack and love it. It carried my MTB during a 3-month, 10,000 mile Western USA + BC roadtrip (including rough dirt roads) without issue. Instead of using the hitch pin lock from 1UpUSA I went with a heavy duty Kryptonite New York U-lock to lock the rack to my 2" hitch and act as security catch. I had read about some cases in Colorado where 1UpUSA racks were stolen off cars at a trailhead, so I went the cautious route. Probably overkill on my part. One thing I've noticed after 2.5 yrs of use is the glider bar teeth are starting to wear down (although the bike still feels very secure in the rack). The glider bars can be replaced for $9 each, which is another advantage for 1UpUSA. I really like the ratchet system on the Equip-D, but if was buying a rack now, I'd still go with the original model and save $100. Have you seen any wear on your rack or replaced any parts yet?
Good basic info. I’ve had the Kuat NV for about 12 yrs, no regrets but the tiered design of the 1 Up is the main reason I’m getting the Equip’d. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the great comparison. Based on your review, I decided to go with the original Quick Rack. I don't have an add-on so tilting it down is not hard at all. Also, I don't have wide tires and I like that the original doesn't stick out as much as the Equip D. Plus the Quick rack is lighter.
I apprecieate this comment! I was curious who difficult it is to tilt down the original when using the single with a bike on it. Does it take 2 hands to pull the handle when loaded?
Love my 1UP USA rack. Best rack made period, easy to take off and put on and easy to put a bike on or off. No plastic parts and made in the USA. Good video Tommy.
I ended up getting the Equip'd based on some of the new features and ease of tilting especially in a 4-bike configuration. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the Equip'd as a 4 bike rack based on lack of durability of the pull rod assembly. I've been enjoying this rack for months as a 2 bike setup and finally installed the 3rd and 4th add-ons for a family road trip. Carrying 2 adult and 2 kid bikes (all non-e-bikes, all under 30lbs ea) and under normal on-road driving the weight of these bikes caused a bend and subsequent crack (remember, it's aluminum so it will only bend so much before cracking) in the piece that keeps the rack in place following a tilting operation. At the very most this may have happened when going over a speedbump at a reasonable speed--something I think we all consider "normal use." When I reached out to 1up about it I was told someone must have backed into my rack because it would have required 2,000 lbs of force to cause this. I can tell you that is 100% not the case and furthermore the metal is bent in a way that would only happen with downward force. DO NOT buy the Equip'd as a 4-bike setup unless you have 15lb road bikes and only drive on pristine roads.
Thx for the video. I’m particularly interested in access to the rear cargo with the rack folded up. It looks like the old rack provided access with single. Does the Equip D provide access with a single and folded up?
Does the security cable lock come with the purchase of the Equip D rack? I don't recall seeing that item on their website with the Equip D rack. Thanks
Tommy, nice review of the rack man. But really, since many of us are not working and staying in during this pandemic, it was actually just nice to see a video of a "friend" (yourself) that brings a cool sense of genuine brotherhood while we're all supposed to stay home. In other words, it was a comforting video to watch for a working bartender/musician. mountain biker(me) that's not working at the moment because of what's going on. Seriously, I cant wait to ride again, day or night. I have my night lights ready! I definitely want to check out your restaurant, the menu looks fantastic!
Awesome. Thanks for this vid. My Thule rack, using a trailer hitch like connection, is old a bit too worn out. You vid convince me to look into your set up. Your step by step build set up paved my way to install on..... Thanks
Now that you've had this rack for a while. If u had to do it all over again would you pick the equip d, the super duty, or the heavy duty? Im in the market for one. Thx
I would get the original quick rack, infact thats what Im doing. 1Up is sending me a the Quick rack, the Equip D is a great rack but my hitch is too short so there's too much play
While I like how easy the rack folds for storage with the blue levers, going to the bolt mechanism was a better move by 1up. A lot more secure and just takes a few extra seconds to unscrew for storage.
Great reviews on the 1up racks. I have the original in black and luckily for me the rack is much easier to lower on my lifted Jeep Wrangler, but I totally understand why the Equip D is better for your vehicle. I highly recommend 1up USA racks because they look so sleek and are easy to use once you get familiar with them. I dig on your channel bro!
You do know 1up makes a release handle extender kit for 2, 3, and 4 quick racks. I have to 2 rack release handle extender on mine. It comes out the back of the rack just like the d rack. no more reaching under to grab latch. cheers
Yeah I know that's what I mentioned in the video. I don't know if the equip D is worth an upgrade if you already have the Quick Rack but if you are looking to buy a new rack I would definitely recommend the Equip D over the Quick Rack
Wish they offered the Equip-D in silver, would have bought 6 months ago. Instead, I've been in a holding pattern of indecision between the Super Duty in silver or the Eqiup-D in black. I know their black racks tend to fade BADLY over time so I'd rather avoid that. But I do like the new features of the Equip-D. Just alot of money to spends for a single + 2 add-ons. I want it to last for decades and not fade.....
Yeah I know what you mean. I the good thing about the black is it fades evenly, sometimes it looks copper or brown which actually doesn't look that bad. I really love the equip D ratchets
Man, I really went down the rabbit hole with your rack reviews, but am appreciative. Good thorough reviews and comparisons that helped me make the right decisions. Thanks again, bro! 🤘🏽👌🏽
Tommy Huynh t_wrex_mtb , dude.... you saved my ass! I ordered the Equip D double with plans to add two add-ons. After watching your review, I called them this morning and ordered the extra locks... Now my hitch-lock, cable-lock, and two add-on locks will all just have ONE KEY. Thanks again so much, bro! 🔐 👀🤘🏽
I sold my old 1-UP original rack (sold in 1 day and it is still an awesome rack), and now just ordered the upgraded to the equip-D. 1-UP has such a demand it was on a 4-5 week backorder just to order and now I just ordered it and it has a 3-6 week delivery...some time in June. :-(... Crazy, but worth the wait!
You appear to have a 2019 Acura RDX and the OEM hitch, which is what I have as well. Do you have any issues with the tongue of the bike rack not being able to insert far enough due to the installed spare tire?
Thanks for the review! My friends car got stolen with MY 1up on it! I was about to buy the new equip-d but you really saved me a few bucks! I didn’t realize the arms don’t fold away like the original! Thanks dude!
No none at all, actually the original 1Up Quick rack had a shorter hitch bar which I prefer, it was even closer to the rear window but still no where close enough to touch
Another great video. Thanks for posting and refreshing to see pros and cons without bias. Very helpful. By the way hope the restaurant business picks up. Hope also your recent OTB injury heals up quickly.
Your previous videos were actually the main reason I went with my Quick Rack and Add-On for my Focus ST. I've had no issues with mine and I absolutely love it. I use a Kryptonite Evolution Series 4 1016 when I'm stopped somewhere on the road, but I'd like to eventually get a strap to secure the rack to my hitch like you have. Just a tight squeeze on the ST with the center-mount exhaust.
Thanks for the awesome comparison. One other thing I’ve heard is that the equip version with the narrower bars is less sturdy / bounces more with heavy load. Have you noticed that? We are planning to buy their rack as it’s the only one that can do 3 bikes on a factory 1-1/4” hitch. We a mix of road and mountain bikes, kids and adult sized. But never any super fat tire bikes. I really like the pull lever at the back, but sounds like we can add that to the quik rack. Given that it’s cheaper and easier to fold up for storage (in our tiny garage), would you we’d be better off with the older model? Or are the ratcheting arms that much better?
@SetaBlaise the main reason is the tire rack is way too wide. They are made to be able to fit fat bikes. The original is more narrow so when it's not fully tight, the bike can balance and lean on the rack but the bike will lean too much and fall on the wide trays so you will always need 1 hand to balance while closing the arms.
@@TommyHuynh Really appreciate the quick reply! I hear ya. As someone who doesn’t fat bike the wide tire clearance sounds like more of a disadvantage. Did everything else hold up on the 1up Equip D during your use?
I don’t have a fat tire bike but my EBike has a 2.5 wide tire. Does the rack made for fat tires work on the smaller 2.5 tires? Does the bike wiggle around too much?
Where you ever pulled over for blocking your plate with bike rack? I planning to drive from IL to Utah with 1up rack and bike, wondering if I should get the license plates holder
Man… this has to be the most solid review of this rack I’ve ever come across. Amazing job! By the way, do you happen to know if there is any downside to getting the 1.25” over the 2” rack? Seems that given the adapter, you’d be able to move the rack vehicle to vehicle much easier with the smaller setup. Just curious if the rack is “less solid” going with the smaller 1.25” setup? Lastly, do you feel the new Equip D wouldn’t be able to handle heavier bikes (like e-bikes) or more off road experiences. Online I think seems to steer toward the heavy duty racks for that, but wasn’t sure how true that is.
The downside of the 1.25" rack is it's weaker. Can only have 1 additional "add on rack" so 3 bikes max. The 2" you can add 4 bikes. I would suggest Heavy Duty rack for E bikes. I do feel the rack wobbles way more with my ebike
I have the original double 1up and always wondered should I try a Kuat, nope I love it and u validated that...I don’t like how far the new one sticks off the hitch but the other features are nice. Thx Tommy for this review and hope the restaurant comes back strong.
Hey Tommy, is the Equip D as solid feeling as the Quick Rack. The Quick looks more solid to the eyes because of the width of the lift arms. I plan on using it for an e-bike since my regular mtn bike fits easily in my SUV. I'm on a list to purchase either one when available. Thanks, Bob
Nice review. We have a Land Cruiser - two tailgate openings. The lower gate reduces the space between it and the rack. I'm basically on the side of the car loading and unloading.
What happens if one of your tires looses pressure while going down the road. Im in love with this rack, but thats the only thing keeping me from buying it. I've had this happen when I apparently got a puncture on a ride. I don't want my Moots bouncing down the highway.
I've had a flat before, the rack will still hold the bike you just push it all the way tight. The issue is when you have a slow leak and as it looses air the one side is not as secure but the bike won't fall out it will just move around more. If that happens than just pull over and tighten the rack
Looking at a 1up to replace an old softride hitch rack. Based on what I see it seems like you get a better lock for the hitch, better release (which I believe you can purchase now), can take wider tires, better finish and a smoother system for securing the bikes which the old one does not seem bad for around $100+ in extra cost. Anything I am missing? I will mainly use 1 bike and then add on the second when doing rides with my daughter.
Yeah it's definitely worth getting the Equip D if you were buying a new rack but if you currently already have the original Quick Rack I'm not so sure it's worth it
@@EricB03 the Equip D is a much better rack so between the two it's definitely worth paying more for the Equip D but like I said if you already have the Quick Rack I don't know if it's worth buying a new one since the Quick Rack is already an awesome rack that will last a life time
Having both I would definitely say the 1up is better the quality of the rack is just better. The Kuat is a great rack but the plastic tends to get crappy after a few years
Nice and informative video. I am thinking of getting the equip-d but have a question if someone can answer it. Im wondering if any of you had the experience using the equip-d rack going off roading and if there’s any issue? Per 1 up, they recommend the super duty for off roading or RV to be use than equip-d. Any thoughts?
Thanks for this review man. I just bought the equip d same 1.25” and 2 adds ons with all the locks. Funny thing too: I’m getting an RDX aspec too, but in apex blue. This was the perfect review for me. 🙌
Hey Tommy! You've answered few questions on security of your bike using this rack. What other items do you use to secure your bike other than wheel locks if you are stepping away from your bike? Thanks!
Nothing just wheel locks. I don't leave my bike over night in some dark alley, my bike goes into my garage, I only use it when I stop somewhere to take a piss or eat after a ride.
How many parts are interchangeable with the old rack? 1up sells all their parts individually. It would be sick to mix your favorite parts of the old rack with your favorite parts of the new rack. I’m considering buying those ratchets if they’ll fit on my old rack.
I was thinking the same but most parts are not interchangeable. The rack design is the same but the equip D is a little beefier so parts are a little bigger and won't fit
Interesting that your video wasn't flagged to give the rona info... I wonder if they would have, if you questioned cvid in any way shape or form. Other than that, the video is nice, and I like the rack!!! Thanks!
Relative newbie to biking. Was a police bike officer (20+ years ago) and decided to get back into it. Recently acquired 2 ebikes with 5" tires. Which 1up will match them? Have been looking at Kuat and Thule, but 1 Up looks like it might work better? Each bike is over 60 lbs.
nice review....likely will stick to my older 1up but you are correct about the ratchet system..quick rack seems better. Hey Hey, what was that aftermarket orange strap you used to secure the old 1 up? thanks for the information! stay safe and healthy!
Actually the rachet system of the Equip D is much better than the Quick Rack. If you don't have a 1up and want to buy a new one I the Equip D is better but if you already have the Quick Rack I don't know if it's worth the upgrade. I don't have regrets the rachet system and ez pull makes a huge difference and I'm stoked on it.
Yeah I wish the offered an upgrade kit with the Equip D ratchet arms but if you have the Quick Rack and your arms are worn out, you can buy the original replacement arms
Only problem with the equip D bike rack is that if you have a heavy ebike, (mine are 73lbs) per bike, this rack only holds 50 lbs per rack. I had to order the Super Duty to allow for the extra weight.
Whether you buy a single or a double it comes with a security lock However I strongly recommend An additional 3rd party lock Like a kryptonite ulock series 2
Nice detailed review, thanks! I have two new Gravel bikes and am looking at the 1up Super, heavy duty, and equip d. I also have a 2 inch hitch on my Honda Odyssey. What would you recommend for my first and last rack? Also thinking of getting two add ons in the future for my kids.
Nice review. Do you think a quick release pin like the one used for the rapid tilt handle could replace the bolt on the tray to allow you to easily fold the trays?
I noticed when you put your friends bike on your rack, the rack gripped the wheels real low. I actually got the height extenders and put them on my add-on and now it grips my large 29er wheels a lot better.
Tommy, nice video as always. I would suggest that you strap and lock your bike when you are having it on the rack. I have seen some crazy people try to steal the bike even when you are behind the red light!!! Be safe and keep sending it 🚀🍻🤟
That's why I have a heavy duty flash light on my door stash, if someone would try to steal my bike at a red light he's gonna get a flashlight to the head
Awesome comparison video. I've recently installed a hitch to my subie and have been lookin into hitch bike racks. Definitely looking for something that offers security from theft and attachment to my car.
Thanks for the review and comparison with your older rack. Have you looked into the QuikRStuff bake rack? It has some improvement from the issues that you had with the 1 Up? Hope you or someone can do a review on the comparison.
I love the crap outta my 1up USA bike rack! Super high quality and it folds up to fit in my trunk! Also made in my home state of Wisconsin! Excited to see their newest version, looking for a 4 bike unit for the back of our F250 adventure truck! Thanks Tommy!
Great video! One Question: Which rack do you think provides the least amount of play/wobble of the actual bikes when on the road? It seems that 1up has a little more play where as the Kuat is a little more locked down. Both racks seem like they can be secured into the hitch to have little to no wobble but wondering about the bike movement. Thanks!
@@michaelsalice9952 that was main reason, also I didn't like how wide the tire trays were my bike would lean and fall over if the rack wasn't secure on both wheels. The original the bike can balance on the rack without being tight which makes it easy to remove bikes one handed
I'm thinking about getting this rack, or your previous 1up, still debating. My main concern is security, someone jacking your bike at a pitstop. I'm guessing you use your wheel locks that you showed in another video? Thanks for the feedback!
Nice videos Tommy!! So, you went with Equip D because there was something you were not pleased with the quick rack? I saw your three videos already and it seems you can't really go wrong with either one, but now that I'm on the market for one, should I pay the extra bucks to get the Equip D? 🤔🤔
No there was nothing wrong with the original Quick Rack, since I'm an Ambassador for 1Up they agreed to upgrade me to the Equip D if I get over 5000 views on my review video. If someone already had the quick rack I don't know if it's worth it to buy the Equip D but if you are in a market for a rack and don't currently have the Quick Rack I strongly suggest the Equip D the new ratchet system is so much better👌
thanks for the video! I also have a RDX with the hitch! i was thinking about getting the new Equip D, but after your video, maybe i should get the original. i like the fact that it's closer to the trunk, more compact
If you don't have a rack I recommend the Equip D the ratchet is so much better. If you already have the original rack it may not be worth it to upgrade
I saw in your review of the original rack that there were locks for the add-ons to make sure nobody removed them. What's to keep somebody from removing the add-ons on the Equip D? Doesn't appear to be a locking mechanism. Just a matter of removing the bolts. By the way, thanks for your reviews. They're the most comprehensive I can find and have been very helpful when trying to make my decision between which 1UP rack to get.
I was wondering the same thing. Being an auto body man I have the tools in my trunk to steal this rack and bikes on it within 3 min or less. So I’m wondering how safe it really is. Although it may not be common for people to have tools available I still question how safe it really is not being welded together.
This is by far the best video on the differences between these two racks. Great review.
Thank you 🤘
Solid review of both racks! I have the original "super duty single 2" rack and love it. It carried my MTB during a 3-month, 10,000 mile Western USA + BC roadtrip (including rough dirt roads) without issue.

@@TommyHuynh
Appreciate the input!
I have the original double 1up and always wondered should I try a Kuat, nope I love it and u validated that...I don’t like how far the new one sticks off the hitch but the other features are nice. Thx Tommy for this review and hope the restaurant comes back strong.
Yes I agree 💯 thanks brotha I appreciate it 🙏
This a awesome bike rack looks sick and awesome video man hope all is well in cali
Thanks brotha 🤘 everything is good, can't wait for the paranoia to go away so we can get back to life
The pull lever is available for the "old" quick rack. Just go to the accessories section at 1up. The pull levers are called "EZ Pull"
Yeah I know, the biggest upgrade with the Equip D is the rachet system it's much better than the Quick Rack
Thanks, Bob
I think the Quick Rack is more stable.
@@TommyHuynh Thanks Dude, keep on.
Nice review. We have a Land Cruiser - two tailgate openings. The lower gate reduces the space between it and the rack. I'm basically on the side of the car loading and unloading.
From the creator of 1Up ‘Cal Phillips’ before he was pushed out. QuickRStuff Mach2 is the best rack ever made. 1Up is now a dinosaur.
@@TommyHuynh thx!
Bro, what is that cable lock that you use to attach the rack to the hitch called? Thx in advance. Great video BTW.
Yeah it's definitely worth getting the Equip D if you were buying a new rack but if you currently already have the original Quick Rack I'm not so sure it's worth it
Tommy Huynh t_wrex_mtb No 1up rack currently. What to you makes it worth the price upgrade difference?
@@EricB03 the Equip D is a much better rack so between the two it's definitely worth paying more for the Equip D but like I said if you already have the Quick Rack I don't know if it's worth buying a new one since the Quick Rack is already an awesome rack that will last a life time
Tommy Huynh t_wrex_mtb Thanks and appreciate it. Guess I will wait for the equip d to get in stock.
Hey Tommy.. thinking of getting the Kuat single rack, or the 1up single rack...preference?
Having both I would definitely say the 1up is better the quality of the rack is just better. The Kuat is a great rack but the plastic tends to get crappy after a few years
Thanks brotha!
So did the rack come with the hitch security cable too? If not where did you get that?
Yes
Thank you. I was thinking of getting the double but I might just go with the single and then the add on.
Awesome 🤘
Thanks man!
really well done, just what I needed, THANKS!
Would you recommend applying grease to the hitch before the install?
How many parts are interchangeable with the old rack? 1up sells all their parts individually. It would be sick to mix your favorite parts of the old rack with your favorite parts of the new rack. I’m considering buying those ratchets if they’ll fit on my old rack.
I was thinking the same but most parts are not interchangeable. The rack design is the same but the equip D is a little beefier so parts are a little bigger and won't fit
My old 1UP rack + add-on is now for sale. 2" hitch.
you still saling that old rack?
@@markpestrella2919 I sold the add-on, I'm keeping the main unit
Wow. Thanks for showing us. With the 29er wheels the rack didn’t look as secured as the 27.5. Is it still secure enough you think?
There's absolutely no difference
Interesting that your video wasn't flagged to give the rona info... I wonder if they would have, if you questioned cvid in any way shape or form. Other than that, the video is nice, and I like the rack!!! Thanks!
Hey Tommy, may I know where you got that aftermarket brown strap. Thanks and stay safe and healthy you guys out there 😊
Home Depot. It's actually orange it's in the section with straps and tie downs
@@TommyHuynh okay. Thanks a lot! 😊
The 1up Equip D has very large trays to.fit fat bike tires
@@TommyHuynh Thank you.
I am a bit confused. That orange strap, what is that for, security? The others were Velcro? Thanks
You would think 1up could up date the quick with new ratchet or offer a retro kit and call it good and sell both
Yeah me and Chris was looking at it to upgrade his but the sizes are different
Do you recommend black color for looks or silver since it hides scratches?
I had both, I personally like the black better but the silver will look brand new 10years from now.
nice review....likely will stick to my older 1up but you are correct about the ratchet system..quick rack seems better.
I don't have regrets the rachet system and ez pull makes a huge difference and I'm stoked on it.
what is the security cable you used from the hitch to bike rack?
Can I ask what security cable you are using? I don't see it as an accessory on 1 up's website. Great video by the way, very informative
I don't use a cable (they are too easy to cut) 1Up sells locks that lock the wheels solid steel
@@TommyHuynh no I'm talking about the one that you have the rack secured to the hitch. Using that small cable and bolt setup
@@markkimley5273 oh that cable comes with the Equip D
@@TommyHuynh oh ok thank you.
What is the brand of that orange strap?
How does it compare to Thule Helium? I like a lighter weight as I hate to carry a heavy item.
Would be sick if you can buy the levers to replace the old ones such a pain to open
Yeah I wish the offered an upgrade kit with the Equip D ratchet arms but if you have the Quick Rack and your arms are worn out, you can buy the original replacement arms
Appreciate the comparison!
Only problem with the equip D bike rack is that if you have a heavy ebike, (mine are 73lbs) per bike, this rack only holds 50 lbs per rack. I had to order the Super Duty to allow for the extra weight.
Tommy, which of the racks would you ultimately choose to get?
Thanks for the review, Tommy. Have you found a way to fold the Equip-D for storage, or found a work-around, or just learned to live with it?
Just learned to live with it, the rack goes under my cabinets in my garage but sticks out
What size tyre you running on the back?
Looks super fat, may just be the gopro effect?
I ride a Schwalbe Hans Dampf 2.6 which is about the same width as Maxxis 2.8 👌
For the single rack, do you have to buy the security lock as an accessory or does it come with it?
Whether you buy a single or a double it comes with a security lock However I strongly recommend An additional 3rd party lock Like a kryptonite ulock series 2
Are you still riding the dampf in the back?
Nice detailed review, thanks! I have two new Gravel bikes and am looking at the 1up Super, heavy duty, and equip d. I also have a 2 inch hitch on my Honda Odyssey. What would you recommend for my first and last rack? Also thinking of getting two add ons in the future for my kids.
Thanx, awesome review. I'm going to order one tomorrow.
Nice review. Do you think a quick release pin like the one used for the rapid tilt handle could replace the bolt on the tray to allow you to easily fold the trays?
Do the arms still rattle when you drive with an empty rack?
No they don't rattle but neither did my other rack. Maybe you should check the bolts.
Tommy does this fit a 29er?
I noticed when you put your friends bike on your rack, the rack gripped the wheels real low. I actually got the height extenders and put them on my add-on and now it grips my large 29er wheels a lot better.
Really? It fits perfectly fine
@@TommyHuynh hahah 🤟🤣👌
Awesome comparison video. I've recently installed a hitch to my subie and have been lookin into hitch bike racks. Definitely looking for something that offers security from theft and attachment to my car.
Thanks for the review and comparison with your older rack. Have you looked into the QuikRStuff bake rack? It has some improvement from the issues that you had with the 1 Up? Hope you or someone can do a review on the comparison.
After watching you're review I finally got my hands on one! When you pick up your bike on the rack, what cable or chain are you using?
Tommy which rack should I get the quick rack or the equip d ????
security key on the rachet would be nice
I love the crap outta my 1up USA bike rack! Super high quality and it folds up to fit in my trunk! Also made in my home state of Wisconsin! Excited to see their newest version, looking for a 4 bike unit for the back of our F250 adventure truck! Thanks Tommy!
Thanks, now you got me thinking about the equipd instead of the original.
Thanks!
Actually the Kuat and the 1Up use the same hitch stabilizer where the ball inside the hitchbar fastens with the car hitch. They both don't move at all
1up or mach 2?
Dope video. What did you do with your original 1UP?
I sold it, got the Equip D, then went back to the original Quick rack
@@TommyHuynh Why did you go back to the original? What didn't you like about the Equip D other then the inability to fold up without bolt removal?
@@michaelsalice9952 that was main reason, also I didn't like how wide the tire trays were my bike would lean and fall over if the rack wasn't secure on both wheels. The original the bike can balance on the rack without being tight which makes it easy to remove bikes one handed
Are you selling your old one? I live near you.
Hahahaha it was already sold the day I got the new one
What bike was your friends ? That matte black and gold one
Specialized Enduro
I'm thinking about getting this rack, or your previous 1up, still debating. My main concern is security, someone jacking your bike at a pitstop. I'm guessing you use your wheel locks that you showed in another video? Thanks for the feedback!
Yes I always use the wheel locks if I ever stop anywhere
Great information! Question - do you still have access to your hatch when you fold up a single Equip-D rack?
Yes that was one of the main reasons why I bought the rack and also explained it in the video
@@TommyHuynh i couldnt decide between the original vs D equip = but i think ill end up ordering the new one. thanks.
thanks for the video!
Although it may not be common for people to have tools available I still question how safe it really is not being welded together.
it really needs lights added to that bike carrier for safety. Takes away attention to your regular brake lights.
