@@nasirriaz2409 Metal Gear 2 seems fine. WipeOut Fusion, THPS, Tekken. So far all good. A few slight stutters with Destruction Derby Arenas but nowhere near as bad as Retroarch.

The only thing is works fine when you exit Dev mode and go back to your regular Xbox. You won’t be able to use quick resume. It seems like it doesn’t save no big deal.

Out of the box question that you or your viewers may know but Final Fantasy X has a weird ghosting in battles when anything is at a distance and im newer to emulation. Any idea what setting this can be. Its the only title that does this and i havent strayed away from any setting you guided thru.

I have the same exact issue. PCXS2 works "fine" on my laptop. The computer is old so it's not ideal for running it, but it shows it can work. It cuts out the same way as you.

I had the same problem, you have to go to your usb folders and add some permissions, the process is something like this: right click on the folder that contains your emulator stuff, then in properties, security, advanced, add, select security entity, advanced, search, all application packages, then ok, ok, apply. Then it can read the BIOS, now my only problem is that memory card is not detected, maybe I have to add write permissions. Edit: For memory card I just leave the default folder instead of the USB one.
10:57 for me when I do what you said I don’t get a directory like you I just get two files S and Q. S file is Program Files\windows apps and the Q file is Users\UserMgr0\AppData\Local\Packages. I can only chose the two and nothing takes me to the usb drive.

Great tutorial and fan of most if not all of these guides! Maybe one thing for future vids or something there is a solution known...but i was not able to find it. Issue: When playing jak and daxter there is a shadow bug. This also happens in the native pcsx2 emu, however the fix known there i cannot apply to xbsx2! Any idea?

Not sure if you can help me; some of my ROMs refuse to show cover art. I’ve tried downloading new ROMs, new cover art, I uninstalled XBSX2 and reinstalled, wiped all the XBSX2 folders from my drive and set everything up from scratch. The thing is - it’s the same 5 games that refuse to show cover art. They were showing it before; issue started when I decided to put higher quality images in the Covers folder. But there are higher quality images of the same file type in the folder which show fine for other games. I feel like I’m going insane
so the Microsoft AI actually suggested and recommended I try emulating original Xbox games on my Xbox series S and it knew I have a series S. so I’m going to do it and if they say anything, I will show them that their own AI recommended I do it

the bios you got did you unzip them first then move them to the bios file inside XBSX2.0 folders in video one being called bios they need to be extracted first

I'm having issues with the the bios being read. I've formatted my external HDD correctly, put the correct bios in the correct folder and set the bios directory to that folder, but the bios selection only shows "Automatic". If anybody can a little help it will be much appreciated. Thanks
When you click on the emulator in dev mode does it show the games and not play them mine shows the games that have been extracted but it’s not playing them.
Whenever I boot a game I always get a message saying that the game disc location is on a removable drive… and some games just won’t start and crash the app. I never had that issue with the old xbsx2
@@abdola3ebelarab it actually read my 60 fps cheats that xbsx2 didn’t read. The auto fixs also made like 5 of my games not have graphical glitches (Area 51, nicktoons battle for valcano island , avatar the last air bender, Ecco the dolphin) reset the games properties that helped me with one of the games it did give me issues with
I have Enable Per-Game Settings turned on but Game Properties does nothing in the game menu when i click on it. Do you know what i have to do? I cant figure it out.
I came here for this issue, everything was working great yesterday, now when I come into my menu game properties will not open and I don't know what happened.
@@kaazer I found you have to go to games list, and press RB till it hits one of the thumbnails, click on that and an option allows you to det the folder location of your games. It only allows game Properties from ingame when you have them in the list, and not where you're just manually loading the game from its folder
Great thank you that fixed the issue, while my main hard drive was hooked up to the computer getting more games I put one of the games on a flash drive to play in the meantime, I didn't have it in the game list and yes you're right it wouldn't work. Thank you
There is now a 'Patches Directory' option within the XBSX2 Folder Settings. Should we now create a 'Patches' folder within the XBSX2 directory and point this setting there?
Is there a way to reduce controller input lag? The input lag seems to be a few frames more compared to native Xbox Series games and compared to RetroArch

I just ended downloading the AetherSX2 version. XBSX2 didn’t want to read bios as well

In the video he tells you to select a folder in your usb disk for the memory card in the settings, I just left the default one
i’ve done it i’ve managed to get n64 games and they work ps1 games and they work but none of my ps2 games work :(

What’s the difference between this emulator and pcsx2 through retroarch? Would it be a substantial upgrade?
Yes a big upgrade and more features are compatible if I'm correct.

Did you figure it out? On duckstation I had to upload them through Xbox portal and name them EXACTLY what the game title is and it worked perfect

Make sure that you follow ALL of these steps when granting security permission. It has to be enabled for ALL_PACKAGES specifically

Did you setup the USB drive with proper security permissions?

Thank you for this, really helpful ! Though I have a question : I don't see the Widescreen Cheats Directory nor the No-Interlace Cheats directory option in my folder settings... I still created the folders in my usb but of course they aren't linked to anything... Any idea on how to fix it?
