I have been waiting for this for about a year since its release. Now it's finally here.
I use this for walkaround inspections on 737s and a320s. It outcompetes ledlenser p7 and p7r for 1/4 the price. I'd recommend this for professional industries.

After disappointments with M@g-Lite, Thrunite, Olight and Fenix, I have stuck with Convoy for several years, with a touch of Lumintop. But lately Sofirn has been doing good by me.
My EDC! Just love the beam, super combination of throw & flood for range of 30m to 60m.. Bought it at around $15 during CNY.. Very tough, rugged and powerful for it's size.. Mine is SST-40 CW"

I was thinking the 0,1% brightness were something about 2lm - 3lm (2400lm/1000=2,4lm) that would be really nice! But 33lm in the lowest mode is way too much for me! It's a real pity...
Great review, as always! Impressive light, especially when you consider the cost. Great beam pattern with good throw and bright spill that blends nicely and is wide enough. Convoy offers so many choices of LED's, color temperatures and body colors. I have 6 Convoy lights and love them all. Two S2+ lights, an M2 that I had asked Simon put in an orange peel reflector in place of the smooth one, which he did and threw in a holster that holds all but the S2+ lights at no cost, an S12 with Nichia 219C 5700K LED's (fantastic light), a C8+ with an SST40 4 mode (another fantastic light), and an M3. Almost every one was purchased because of your excellent reviews. So thank you 👍

Convoy is awesome because Simon is awesome. Such a great guy and sharp with business.
My latest buy was an M2 with a 5000K SST20 (thankfully without green tint), that ended up coming with a smooth reflector and as a result has a beam thinner than my old C8 XM-L2 (though admittedly the C8 has an OP reflector for shorter distance use). Same throw on a much smaller package, and sharper CRI to boot. It's just one in a pile though, I have two S2 XM-L2 4300K-ish, one S2+ Nichia 4000K, one M1 XM-L2 3300K and the C8 and M2 I mentioned. And there's an S2+ with the very warm 2700K SST20 coming in the mail along with one of his headbands.

For some reason I didn't get a notification, or I simply just missed it, probably the later lol My M2 has an XPL HI 5000K led with the biscotti firmware and I'm very pleased with it. The tint is much better than I thought it would be, it looks great. And I asked Simon to swap out the smooth reflector for an OP which he did at no cost. Gotta love Simon ♥️ 😊
About 2 weeks ago I received my 2 S11's, one in steel blue with an SST40 12 group and smooth reflector and one gray with an XHP50.2 4 mode that I asked Simon again to swap out the smooth reflector for an OP, which he did. Both are 5000K. I'm really glad I got both, but if you only wanted one I would highly recommend the XHP50.2 over the SST40 unless you are looking for maximum throw. The XHP50 doesn't heat up as nearly as fast when on high and is much better on the lower settings with decent spill even at 1%. The spill at .1% and 1% setting on the SST40 is almost non-existent. I need to use 10% on the SST40 to match the XHP50 at 1%. On the higher settings they are fairly equal in brightness with the SST40 out throwing the XHP50, not by a huge amount, but definitely enough to notice. Also with the SST40, I don't notice as much of a difference in output between .1% and 1%, not nearly as much as you would expect. And while there is an increase in output going from 35% to 100%, that also wasn't as much as I expected, but the increase in heat is enormous. So I chose to use group 8 that only goes to 50% for maximum output. It is still really bright, just slightly less bright than 100%, but the heat generated is greatly reduced. I ran it for 20 minutes straight and the handle was just slightly warmer than my hand. At the 100% level this happened in 3-4 minutes. So for the very slight decrease in maximum output, you'll get a considerable increase in runtime and a light that takes forever to heat up.
I still need a light that is warmer than 4000K, don't have one yet ☹️ Most are 4000- 5000K.
Gotta love Convoy, so many choices to choose from, and Simon is is so nice to deal with 👍

I've ordered this light 3 times from banggood, they cancelled twice and the third time they told me customs sent it back to them, royal mail didn't even receive tracking... It's frustrating because I'm getting back into mine photography and all these vids show how nice the light quality is. I'll keep ordering until I get on I think 😈

My neighbor is looking for a light at approximately $30. It should be rechargeable and come with the battery and cable. I think it should also have a pretty long lasting battery at each level. Any ideas?
@the brain Check out reviews for the Wowtac A1S. It meets all the criteria. I have it in natural white and cool white. Both have been trouble free for the nine months that I've had them. Sofirn may offer something too. If you can catch the Astrolux EC01 on sale it would be a great choice, but a battery would have to be purchased separately, like a 21700 Samsung 40T. But the EC01 has the much more complex Anduril UI.

b) Is it true that Astrolux EC01 will run 30-40 minutes less? If you set the EC01 brightness to 850lm like the S11 at 30%?
Insightful review. Good places to show what this light can do. For me the beam is top notch. I can't see the purple ring but thats indeed annoying. Convoy shows to be a good, maybe very good light. Many topbrands could learn from that.

The beam is brilliant. It kinda looks like a pure flooder when you're using it but it throws as far as the MS03 with 5 times less power!

How long does the battery last on s11?
Ages with a 5500mAh cell on the lower levels. If you spam higher levels it you should still push 3 hours.
How "fat" is the light?
is it too fat to use as an EDC?
Will it fit inside a FishBlock, to be used as a bike light?
