I recently received a (second) replacement MS03 (the first replacement continued to have the Turbo problem) from Imalent and, after a week’s use, it appears that the Turbo issue has been resolved. I’ve used Turbo several times and the dreaded red light has not come on. A small sticker has also been added to the head of the light warning of high heat production. Imalent customer service was helpful and courteous when treated fairly and with courtesy. Be sure to get the most recent production of the light as it seems key to getting a properly working example.
Astrolux MF01 mini is a great middle for everything, 501meters range with a good spotlight, reaching 7400 lumes with samsung 40T, smaller than EC03, goes down to 49$s with discount and no turbo issues :)
Darn wished I’d waited for the warm variant but hey ho the normal is an awesome light. I install equipment in pubs and clubs and often their cellars. The MS03 is my new EDC. Apart from the turbo issue it’s a great light and I’ve found it to be good value for money vs functionality and purpose. From close up work to lighting a whole cellar. I got it thanks to your first review of it. Cheers 👍🏻
When the MS03 is working it's one of the best lights around. It just need to cycle or return from turbo and the sensor or connection needs sorting that causes the red light.
I was thinking. What would it be to have a small light like this 13,000lm and 3 minutes full turbo. Really hope that we once have lights like that. Flooders like this light just need long turbo times and no more than 50°C
I will get this when they fix the turbo issue. I already have the MS03 its still one of my favorites. Just got the astrolux ec03 on your recommendation.
For a great EDC 5000k flashlight I love my Emsiar D4V2 in SST-20 5k. The SST-20 in 5k does not have the green tint issues as the 6500k and also very good throw. Hello Flash. Another blindingly (yeh, sorry. Couldn't help it) good review. Has anyone mentioned. How bloody ugly the Imalent MS03 & MS06 are? I know that it's not supposed to matter. But, let's face it a certain amount of beauty is still very much considered. Don't get me wrong I have a couple of Imalent flashlights. An RT90 & an LD70 mini. They actually look like somebody thought about a fairly nice presentation. Like you, I find the 6000k a bit washed out. I don't however mind the 5000k tint. Having said that, if the 5700k was available I would definitely choose that, without any hesitation. I know that I was a bit late reading this review mate but, I couldn't any more new ones. Take care mate.
Imalent is usually crap and a gimmick brand. Still I was hoping for the cheap 100 dollar light it would make just a fun play thing to use in the dark fields but looks like it can’t even work as a toy either. Smh.
