Absolutely love, love, love this design! Already bought it and my mind is racing thinking about going shopping for fabrics…lol. May not get one done this Christmas, but boy I will have several completed for next year😊 Btw, with the newest TH-cam improvement which lets you zoom in on the project really closely, I can see details and fabric texture, etc. Beautiful work and thank you so much for the video with all the hints and tricks!

can you do this on a 4x4

It's not designed for that. It was specifically designed with this size hoop in mind. Also, some appliqués are larger than 4x4 and it would be very difficult to get perfect alignment.
