Cool build! Just a thought: why do you run the engine to let the filter take out eventual drill shavings from the oil? The oil including the shavings will go through your pump to! Wouldn't it have been easier to just remove the oil pan and do the drilling with the oil pan off the car?

Coolant temperature sensors don't work when there's no coolant and the actual sensor is on top of the head at the highest point So there's nothing but air in it so running the engine without any coolant You're not going to get the full picture of what your temperature is if you don't have coolant in
@@BulliKid if you were to put a catalytic converter on would you have to do some modifications to the OEM exhaust system? And how would you go about hooking the O2 sensor back on it?
Should’ve dropped the pan or got a whole new one you don’t want the shavings from drilling into your pan. Remove it and then do it. Better for the engine and your bank account
If this wasn’t my daily and had another car to use I would have dropped it. It’s a lot more work to drop this pan so I chose to do it this way. But you are absolutely right. Safest way is to drop the pan!
From what I see you drilled a hole towards the top of your oil pan where no oil is out. You should of drilled at the bottom side of the pan where oil sits at and that would submerge your oil line in oil at all times. I think you're gonna starve that turbo of oil with that line in the top of your oil pan. Oil will get up there maybe when you take a curve or sharp turns but on a straight away all the oil is at the BOTTOM of the pan. At least that's what it looks like to me in this video. I hope it turned out good for ya buddy.👍
Why wouldn't you just drain the oil. Any shavings that made it in would have drained with the oil. Then maybe refill the oil pan and drain again without starting it. You ran the risk of shavings making it up to the head or cylinders. Besides that, great job!! 👍

No
@@BulliKid Why not? So it will not cycle the engine oil. It will have the oil on its own?
The oil will fail quickly. You would have to change that oil every week for it to survive
@@BulliKidok i was thinking pouring motul 300v on to the cooler. Anyway thanks for the replies i will try this soon 😃
Hey.. great vid.. there isnt much on mods regarding these engines on the net.. im planning on doing a turbo kit on my car aswel.. its a fk2 civic r18a.. what did you do about the map sensor ?
Thanks. The map sensor is oem. I didn’t touch it.
@@BulliKid okay cool.. because i read up on the full boost page and they mentioned that the conversion needs a 4 bar hondata map sensor.. did you do anything in the hondata software to compensate for that? Because if the oem map sensor is rated for 2bar then i think i should be fine im only planning on pushing maximum 0.8bar because our 91 and 93 pump gas quality isnt the greatest.. so i dont want to take any chances..
@@marcoabrahams2333 over 10 psi you need hondata 4 bar map sensor.
I am running max 7 psi. Stock map does just fine.
Brilliant ... Thanks@@BulliKid .. ill watch the rest of the vids just to see what i need to look out for
Perfect! Enjoy
Hey man I have a 2007 Honda Civic ex automatic what turbo did you get? I’m trying to do the same
eBay turbo kit. Link in description.
the fuel pump is exhausted you have another option
There are many DW pumps. Stock is good for around 200-250 hp per hondata.
@@BulliKid Thank you for answering my question. I am also modifying a similar car.
Is that the oil pan drilled? Is it required? No other way?
Yes it is essential
@@BulliKid ok thanks
Nice jop👏👏, what is the all turbo name?? I want to buy one
Thank you. Check out the full playlist for details.
Coolant temperature sensors don't work when there's no coolant and the actual sensor is on top of the head at the highest point So there's nothing but air in it so running the engine without any coolant You're not going to get the full picture of what your temperature is if you don't have coolant in
Hey what did you do with the catalytic converter when you finished the build?
I have it in storage
@@BulliKid if you were to put a catalytic converter on would you have to do some modifications to the OEM exhaust system? And how would you go about hooking the O2 sensor back on it?
You would need a aftermarket converter and a o2 sensor extensor.
Is 7.5 psi a lot for a R18a1 motor
Considering I heard many blow 10psi plus I say it’s right at the max I would want to push it.
What’s the song name?
You think this would fit on a 2012 civic? With the r18?
Yes.
@@BulliKid And a 2014Lx R18 would fit?
I was asking me the same question
Very brave drilling the pan. Goodshit.
Thanks.
What do you mean I’m boosting into the valve cover. That message got deleted by TH-cam for some reason.
@@BulliKid disregard my previous message. I saw your other video.
Can you add link to your turbo kit
It’s in description
Would not use junk fram filters
I’m not to picky. I change oil every 3-4 k
Hey what engine do you have on that automatic lx ?
The factory R18
From what I see you drilled a hole towards the top of your oil pan where no oil is out. You should of drilled at the bottom side of the pan where oil sits at and that would submerge your oil line in oil at all times. I think you're gonna starve that turbo of oil with that line in the top of your oil pan. Oil will get up there maybe when you take a curve or sharp turns but on a straight away all the oil is at the BOTTOM of the pan. At least that's what it looks like to me in this video. I hope it turned out good for ya buddy.👍
Thanks for the comment. However that is the oil drain and it is suppose to be above the oil level. 👍
Should have drilled out all the holes and then emptied the oil. Would have made any shaving come out with the oil.
I flushed a few quarts through it at best.
hey this is Dima Herr and i was seeking help on putting a turbo on my car it's a 2012 Handa civic dx sudan
@@Dima-x1l9g how can I help
Why wouldn't you just drain the oil. Any shavings that made it in would have drained with the oil. Then maybe refill the oil pan and drain again without starting it. You ran the risk of shavings making it up to the head or cylinders. Besides that, great job!! 👍
