    I've got a lot of love for the lil R18 engine, so overlooked and underrated, I've tuned two of them, a custom turbo one with a TD04-16T which made 260WHP and a Kraftwerks Rotrex one which made 235WHP.

    Im so glad u did this build !!..perfect in every way for us everyday workin r18 owners ..i watched another vid awhile back but this dude did a top of the line turbo build spent over 3k n it completely turned me off of ever thinking about doing it and just starting looking for an si because i can get a used 8th gen si for about 5k .but man this is exactly what i needed to turn back to building my r18 with a cheap ebay setup .if its less than $2k im in.i have a 06' ex coupe (5spd too btw haha jk.) Idc if the turbo not namebrand i just want some more power i only got a cai and throttle body spacer all that did was better throttle response ..can u drop the budget info please and parts list?. Also how u learned to tune. I have zero experience with tuning and i was lost in vid 4 when u were talking about the tune.

I can pull 1.1g with some nexens even after going back to stock struts and springs. It's a bit ponderous with 0.0 toe front and rear, and I just used the stock "c" rear upper arms and front camber bolts (don't cheap out, get moog or Honda ones)

    I have a 2010 Honda Civic sedan, I put in two electric turbines, and let me tell you they definitely work great, I don’t even have to turn them on, and they make so much power, it’s incredible, if you want to keep your breaks a lot longer, down shift while your are slowing down, and to not keep on spinning your wheels, start in 1, and shift up, that will help a lot..

  • @gtgodbear6320
    @gtgodbear6320 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Your shifter might be able to shift from 1st to 2nd without pushing the button in in higher rpm's. Then it should unlock third to push it up without pushing the button in. That's how my automatic works. You might want to try it and see if it'll shift into second without pushing the button in higher RPMs. It either works that way or my shifter lock is broke.

    You have to be the person with the most knowledge on R series motors so I need to ask your advice.
    I’m running an Injen SRI that I’m satisfied with right now no tune (did not throw a code using the factory sensor and sounds good with a tiny bit of noticeable power added) I want a stage 2 camshaft and a flash pro tune to delete VTEC and tune for mods (just Air to Fuel tuning) However I feel like I would need some sort of exhaust mod to improve the flow out of the exhaust.
    I like catbacks and all but where i live they are frowned upon by neighbours, motorists and especially the police. I was thinking a high flow cat underneath the car or maybe a test pipe/header but I still believe in running cats for environmental reasons plus removing cats is illegal here in Ontario.
    I’m not looking for a huge improvement in performance maybe around 20-30hp but I enjoy the sound of well tuned and loud motors with minimal exhaust sound. So my question is, If I’m looking to push more air and more fuel with a camshaft would the stock exhaust perform decently with expelling exhaust gases to accommodate for a minor increase in power? If I should improve the exhaust, what would be the most effective yet fairly quiet or stinky modification to do? Test pipe? High Flow cat? Catback with silencer?

    • @BulliKid
      @BulliKid  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Your best bet is install a Civic si muffler if you don’t want to spend alot of money and want a increase in sound a power in the mid to higher rpms. 20-30 hp probably is far fetched. Maybe 10-15 with what you describe.

    Do u shift 1 2 3 D for everyday driving as well?

    • @BulliKid
      @BulliKid  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If I’m cruising I’m in 3. It shifts between 1-3 on its own. If I’m wot I shift myself 1-2-3
      D sucks because it jumps to 5th and it’s high load. I need to figure out how to have D work to be just 4th gear. To be honest it would be much more drivable and make less load.
