This whole series has been absolutely top notch from start to finish, the stories themselves are excellent but your reading is what truly brings them to life and captivates us so. I’m saving this particular episode for Christmas Eve as a little treat- I hope you have a good one too Greg!
Ah Mr. Wagland you follow Gerard's instructions to preserve his stories by your narrations!. Thank you for introducing me to this character; if this is the last story, he will be missed!
This is adventure was never a favourite of mine all those years back. Now, hearing it read this way, it seems one of his best. I keep forgetting to mention how well the paintings chosen compliment the stories. I hope that despite the finality of this particular tale we still have more to come.
Its my utmost pleasure listening to your clear British accent that I love... Please never stop sharing stories narrated by your marvellous voice.. thank you very much sir
Thank you for these You’re narration on TH-cam - its occasional appearance - is like a great rare book find that a rare book collector or bibliophile makes in Venice or West Texas on a journey he’s never shared with anyone, other than the locusts and fir trees of his dreams.
Adieu, Etienne! 😢 God Speed. Through these wonderful stories I have come closer to a real sense of the Napoleonic era than any film or documentary could evoke, because it involves one's own imagination, inspired by the incredible narration. I guessed early on that the mission was to St Helena, but this made it all the more exciting, because we know Napoleon never eacaped that isolated place, but it was a bold try! In the end, Colonel Gerrard could have done no more, he was loyal to the end! Wow, what a journey you have taken us on, Greg! Thank you from my ❤. Where will you take me next I wonder? Like Gerard I loyally wait x
As u know greg i have totally enjoy every chapter .thank u so much for bringimg to light .so many great tales of history mystery of sir Arthur conan doyle .merry Christmas to u dear sir .❤
Powerful stuff. I am genuinely going to miss the old rogue, although admittedly there were a few times when I wondered where Sharpe and his riflemen had got to just when they were needed the most!
Perhaps. Give The Parasite a go Greg! I am nothing if not persistent. Many thanks for the many many happy hours I have spent listening to your wonderful varied and talented voice. You have got me through some times ❤

I have been dreading this tale, but even the best of men do not live forever.
If i shed a tear, it is an homage to France's finest soldier.
