Just to point out that normal iPhones that do not have 3D Touch (including XR) can long-press on the space bar and still be able to move the cursor around. It's not only exclusive to 3D Touch enabled devices just in case you missed it.
This itself explains how useless 3d touch is.I am an iphone X owner and there is literally no reason for 3d touch to exist.Its simply a glorified version of touch and hold to open.
Normal iPhones? Lmao wtf 6s,7,8,X all have 3D Touch. No offense but if you don’t use 3D Touch it doesn’t mean everyone else doesn’t.
All iPhones since the 6S have 3D touch. It's not really useful but they have it.
Joon - young I never said there aren't people who need 3D Touch. I'm just pointing out similar feature of moving the keyboard is there for non 3D touch iPhones - which he said wrong in the review. You don't have to sound rude.
That’s the eyeglass tool, it works differently and less smoothly, my friends SE had no 3D Touch and it’s worlds different compared to the 3D Touch version.
I got XR/128gb/RED, week ago.
It’s beautiful and works great.
I enjoy it for now.

I have the XS max and my husband got the XR I wish I would of waited for the XR. I love the color of my XS max but the only difference is the screen and portrait mode other then that it’s like the same phone. Not worth paying that much more money.
I do like the contrast offered by the screen on the XS. On a 2 yrs contract the difference is not much.

T-Mobile gave me $390 for my S8 so I got the XR for less then 400 bucks! Great deal! Liking the phone so far , screen is far better then I thought it would be.

Watching this on my Black IphoneXR. Honestly this is one amazing phone. Don’t hate it till you try it. Go to Best Buy. Check it out right next to the iPhone XS. The display is top notch! (See what I did there 😂) and the battery life is excellent. Goes all day with heavy use. Apple hit it out if the park with this phone!

I got the white iPhone XR and it’s a lot better then I thought it would be ... I love it
As a longtime Android user, I have to admit Apple finally surpassed one of my critics - only making high-end phones way too expensive and too high-tech for the majority of the users. Most people who just use their devices for social media, messaging and so on won't need all the processing power, fancy OLED nearly bezeless screen; these people won't even notice the differences of this device while still having a solid and reliable phone.
Erm this does have a powerful processor and 750 bucks is still way too expensive for what it is

The iPhone is perfect for me because they're known for their longer software support (i'm good at taking care of phones esp. if it's expensive. I just need a long software support 😅)
Edit: though I'll never buy a thousand dollar phone from them.

Great video! I love my iPhone XR I have the white and it’s so classy and the cleanest option in my opinion. But I’ve only had it about 2 months and I can’t believe how much I love this phone I mean people compare the other flagships which is stupid! The XR is an amazing phone. By the way i have 3D Touch! I dont know what people are even talking about Lol 😂

This is the best option for me. I would love the Xs but I do not want to spend over $1000 on a phone and I would need the 256GB version which is $1149. The 128GB Xr is $799 which is big enough for me and $350 less. I really do not care about the 2nd camera.
I am going to wait a little while longer and see if there are any deals next month on either the Xs or Xr but I would be more than happy with an Xr coming from an iPhone 7. I just want the new form factor with the larger screen on the smaller phone.
You can still do 3D Touch functions like the keyboard thing, just long press

if you want good battery life, choose XR,
if you regret because it doesn't have same features as Xs, then download focos or snapseed, another editor is VSCO.
if you can't choose between big or small phone, then this size is in the middle.
You can move cursor when typing even if its not having 3D touch,check it more carefully and youll see..
22 years of cell phones , fanatical android user and this was the phone that enticed me to the Apple world

The argument about resolution is ridiculous for any person making youtube videos, like, Engadget. Have you watched a 720p video and a 1080p video on any 1080p phone? There is a obvious difference no matter how you spin it.

In terms of long battery life, actually the cheaper phones except at Apple often have longer battery life due to their lower power demanding specs. I've seen the Xr in person and the resolution is should not be an issue

Hey no worries, ios 13 has 3D Touch so🤷🏻♂️
Ehem it’s kot about the Software if it has 3D Touch it has an extra layer under the Screen but the xr doesn’t have it that’s why it has got Haptic Touch which is basically like 3D Touch but a little slower
The battery life is 25 hours, I know this because I was at a store and the sold them and it said 25 hours
Should I upgrade from the 7 plus
at 3:55 you can still move the cursor without 3D touch, just long press the space bar for 2 secs and boom magic happens, it works on any iphone model.

Every reviewer i see says the screen is fine. Yes oled qhd plus is better. But all the commentors who haven't seen the display are the same as before, 720p in 2018. Go see one simple.
How about i make another argument, and most users are fine with a slower chip? Sd 845 or kirin 980 are still behind a11. That's comparing last year chip to this year.
exactly if you compare the Xr to the X the only thing better is the A12 processor, but since the A11 is still a beast that's not as important as the advantages the 2017 X has, like dual camera, thinner bezels and body, steel, and especially SUPER RETINA OLED display...third party stores still sell the 2017 X brand new for the same price or less than the Xr so it's a no brainer to go with the X
I would still go with an Xr. Unless you really really want the X cameras or oled. Speed gives you headroom.
Saying that there are no apps that tax the processor enough is just reviewer talk. AR use a lot of resources. So does complex shortcuts. If you don’t mind an i7 when you can get an i9 for the same price I guess that’s ok. Both are fast. But speed and better battery will last you a longer time. And lcd too. I use a samoled 1440p display everyday next to 750p lcd. I’m not too bothered with lcd. Still good maybe still great.
Unless you haven’t experienced oled true black and true hdr and you really want always on display get samsungs they are cheap and really really good for their display. Can try samoled android goodness and samsung pay. But don’t get LG. Their screen is so bad it’s bothering on irritating. I have Samsung and LG too and that’s my experience. And yeap no where as fast as the same year iPhones.
TankQ first of all its higher than 720p but less than 1080p and why does this matter? It’s not like your going to watch high quality videos 24/7..
CRAFTY SWAGGY SHAY yeah I know. as I said above I use a 1440p samsung with their amoled. And I also use a 750p iphone, when it comes to bedtime, I just grab any phone closer. Other than some special true black videos, otherwise both are great. Can’t really tell pixel wise.
Would be nice if it’s 1080 but I’m not concerned. 830p is still good enough. Oled is a bigger omission, but not every scene needs true black, HDR maybe.
That is a good point. I only spent $600 on my Xperia XZ2 Compact, and it has 1080p resolution.

The iPhone XR has Haptic Touch, which allows you to use the cursor on the keyboard. Hold down on the space bar or bottom of the keyboard area and it with activate. :)

I went from the 6s plus to both the XR and the XS max and I find myself using the XR 90% of the time...🤷🏽♂️

Sure it is enough to get by in today’s standards and is at a lower price compared to the other iPhone X , but $800 for a phone is premium price. I should expect premium tech.

Personally I can tell the difference between my iphone 6s plus screen and a note 9's screen and I;m holding it at a reasonable distance away, ok fine a company wants to use this low resolution fine but don't give me this bs price of "only" 749 usd lol....for reference this phone in my country costs more than the note 9 and costs as much as the huawei mate 20 pro and they have vastly superior screens and the mate 20 pro's soc is almost as powerful as the a12 and takes just as good photos.....Your arguments is???

I was also scepical about the screen, but it's absolutly fine and safes resources. So more power for the apps, than just keeping a higher resolution display running.
You can move your crossers around by pressing on the space bar. iOS 12 opened it up for all devices and not only for 3D Touch
