Better in what Real world ways? lol Xr has the same IOS , camera, and A12 chip. I have the Red Xr and Im happy with it. Xs and Max are targeted at android users who cross over to Apple. lol Xs may have OLED, Gigabyte LTE, and second lens, but in real world ppl will barely notice or use to its full potential.

Why are people obsessed with having a pixel density on their phone higher than their laptops and TVs? A 4k retina laptop display has a 220 ish PPI and looks incredible. I have an S8 and run th display at 1080p to conserve battery.

This is honestly one of the best phone reviews I've seen in a long time. Thank you so much for pointing out that pixel density is already high enough at around 720p and that battery life is a really great trade off. I was beginning to feel like phone makers had decided battery life had reached a "long enough" level already and weren't trying to improve. I would definitely benefit from multiple day battery life on flagships.
Great video! I was thinking as well switching from the Xs to XR just because LCD screen are more accurate and editing photos in the XR looks prettier. Still trying to make up my mind.
LCD vs OLED so, is LCD cool...I know AMOLED or LED colors are not accurate to calibrate..but looks splendid. The originality of vision is Plasma or Crystal display with hue factor.
I plan to exchange my XS Max for the XR since my eyes get strained from the OLED panel on the XS Max. We need to retain LCD options!

Partis 1234 if you count how many years apple will support software, you wont said so. Android only support 1 years...after that your phone literally going through deadlines .... that is the story. Not from those companies like ss or sony...just from the trash bins google. You have to accept it. Android was cheap and everyone can use it so those companies dont give the fuck about the os. They continue throughout new model and forgot last model or support user. Because they dont give the fuck what google ruin your phone. I had several android, all flagship, cost like 7 out of 10 if compare to each new iphone model. But they wont survive longer than 2 years. I kept my phone carefully, never download game or something stress the phone. Only daily use, but dead is 💀. Even ip4 vs 6+ (the one that i really not care, drop it every fucking month) still work like a charm. Yes, their specs are weak...cannot running nowadays games but still running like a champ. Not just iphone, my ipod touch 4, 6th vs my ipad 4, air2, still all in good condition despite ages. And all my s6 note 4 xperia x2 x3 xpremium lumia 920 all those phones deads.

My oppinion the best phone ever released was the Iphone 6s, but since then have android phones caught up. If you compaire the price to quality the Samsung phones are much more valuable. Apple are selling less and less phones each year but profit as much, because their prices rise. Apple is not interesting in making good value phones anymore but 'premium' phones, which are most of the time overprised

I love my iPhone XR. I switched from a XS for a couple reasons.. the bigger battery in the XR, and a bigger screen than the XS. The XR is a sweet spot between the XS and XS MAX. The camera is amazing! I promise I know they same it’s the same lens as the XS but it seems like apple had some special software with the XR the photos are richer than they were on my XS! It’s a great phone!

Upgraded from my 6s. I literally went 16 hours with regular use and finally hit 20% battery life. My 6s would hit 20% in 4 hours with the same use. So, yeah. This upgrade was worth it.

I had the iPhone XR for about two week now, not my daily driver, just brought it to test it out. I'll have to say it is a great phone in every single way. This is from someone who use an iPhone XS Max as a daily driver, and the iPhone XR has little to no compromises.

Just saying, The Xr has the same amount of RAM as the Galaxy S6. Sub 1080p! The Galaxy S5 is 1080p. And the storage, I got a fast Samsung EVO 64gb microsd card for only $24.99! That's like half the storage price of the iPhone storage upgrade! And the battery, 2,942 mAh! That's just pathetic! The Galaxy S7 has a bigger battery.
BlondePlays note that the iPhone software is much easier to use than the android for the majority of the people. It’s simplicity and efficiency combination makes people like it more than the other brands. Many people prefer IOS over android mainly because of its software. If they had the same software, then apple will be rotten. Sure, you can get things at a cheaper price, but people prefer other things for a reason.

I’ll be honest I ordered the XS Max and when I went to the Apple store to pick it up I fell in love with the XR I almost want to switch it’s different and definitely fits better in your hands.

@@girlsdrinkfeck Not really a factor. Most android flagships today don't have sd card slots and headphone jacks either. You can buy a fast charger for the iphone and battery life is actually good as apple optimizes their software for their hardware. Android flagships also copied apple's notch so there's not much of an advantage there. The remaining advantage for android are the better RAM and the display. But iOS is a much lighter OS than android so the RAM discrepancy is more or less balanced out by software.
Lastly, not everyone needs the super screen designed for superhuman eyes. As the Xr is designed to be a budget version of the Xs, the lower res screen is not an unreasonable compromise. Buy the Xs and you'll beat every phone on the market right now, especially with their A12 chip which is so much faster than ANY android chip on the market right now.
Btw in some parts of the world, Samsung and Apple have more or less the same price. So there's no competition there either.

Huawei Mate 20 lite is like the XR compared to the XS but done right. 20mp outer cam with 2mp depth perception. 24 inner cam with 2mp depth perception. Amazing design. Headphone jack, slight notch smaller than the X's, great fingerprint location, with the pro's in the screen. The Pro gets back to back charging, 40MP camera, USB C even on the low budget, 6.3 inch. They are superior. You wanna talk about copying? Remember the pen which apple brought out for their tablets? You can shame a phone for "copying" but if a phone does it better than the original what's not to like? Why should you have to pay extra for what should be included (hint to the lack of earphone ports and having to buy adapters if your that dumb) and why should I have to pay for fast charge when most android phones come with it. Name a few android brands without an SD port. There are few without em and even then they are the budget phones, not the god damn flagship like IPhone
I think XR is the best choice of the new iPhones: better battery life and low resolution screen leaves more CPU power for the actual programs/apps.

Im not an apple fan boy or like that... I happened to get an iphone6 from my father...2 years ago... I was a hardcore android user before that...Im still using the iphone 6 this day... After 2 years...my dad used it for nearly 2 years...and he bought it from another guy who used it....and still my phone doesn't lag even occasionally.... My camera awes my friends .. even with their newest phones... My phone has the latest apple software...... even newer apps support my phone even after 4 years...though it does have less battery and all.....Im just telling that even though apple's products are pricey... They LAST LONG WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM....i mean most of em... And also i can sell my phone for a better price than any android phone that was used these many years..Soo if you are that type of a guy who buys a phone and want to keep it for like atleast 2 years and even sell that for a good price...not worrying about any lag or stutter any time.... I own a Xr and to correct one thing you mentioned is that while typing in any app, you can hold your finger down and move the cursor around where you want, you don’t need to use the space bar option. So while 3D Touch is gone, this feature still remains.

+Austin Evans, please do more research before doing a comparison. The reason the XR bezel is thicker is because the backlight goes around the screen, it's an LCD screen. On the XS, the backlight is in the screen itself, no need for bezel at all... so how do you explain there is a bezel on the XS where there should be NONE?

Traded my iPhone 8 64GB yesterday to get the iPhone XR 128GB and I’m loving it so far, I only paid $50 down for the storage upgrade & so far this iPhone is super fast
Just got the XR, was gunna get the Xs but in Canadian dollars would have been insane (plus our 13% tax), i bought my 6s when it was a year old for almost the same price and it lasted yearrrs. I needed to get a new one due to the amount of glitches (im gunna guess with all the new updates or whatever). Happy i got the XR, it looks just as damn nice as the XS. I got it in white so i bet people will think I have the XS anyways without the extra $400 it would have been with taxes.
This phone looks awesome and is very good for the price IF you live in the US. In EU prices vary from €880 to €1000+. And well then its not worth it anymore if you counter in the mass cheap asian phone offerings .. aussies and the asians have it even worse I believe soo yea this argument is pretty pointless
I live in EU, but i believe US prices are exclusive taxes and EU prices inclusive taxes
Perhaps it makes sense if you live in the US, but in Sweden the 64 GB model costs $1050 (usd). I don't know why Apple products are so expensive here, but it doesn't really compete very well at that price. At that point, something like a OnePlus 6T at half the price makes more sense...

Android has "3d Touch" in the sense that its pressure sensitive. It works literally the exact same and android has had it for more than 3 years

I use 3D Touch on my iPhone 6s just because it makes typing easier on iOS cause I can never get the damn cursor where I want it when typing something. And to be fair, I like both android and iOS. I’ve used both extensively.

The Xr is an amazing phone! I upgraded from the iphone 6 to Xr and I couldn't have been more happier. FaceId is awesome! Apple Pay using FaceId is extremely convenient. The battery lasts me a good 2 days without having to charge my phone. I will be very comfortably leaving my charger behind for a 2 days, 1 night trip. The display doesn't bother me because that wasn't my priority - I was looking for a phone with powerful processor that comes with a great battery.

Wrong. I've owned an X for over a year now and it's my daily driver. So no I'm not giving anything a bad rap. (fyi: I love the X, really good phone imo). So like I said from the get-go, the XR is a downgrade from the X and thus is a silly purchase. But hey I've owned iPhones for 6+ years now so what do I know.

I don't know why everybody is hyping the "liquid retina display" if I put my iPhone 7 or 8 next to the XR there will be no real difference either and still people talk shit like this display is "amazing"...

I don't get why the xr is so popular right now. You can get a standard iphone x for about the same price, but the standard x has an oled screen, dual cameras and a better build material. You can also get much better Android phones for a lot less then the xr, I just don't see why someone would look at the xr and go "yes I want this phone more than any other phone available" while totally ignoring the plethora of better choices.
I dont like Jonathan anymore (disclaimer : but his cinematography is awesome), but austin never fails to entertain us

I stepped into an Apple store yesterday to check out the XR because I hadn’t seen one yet and to be honest the display is perfectly fine. Compared to my X it isn’t as bright and contrasty for sure but at an arms length I had to really try and see a difference in resolution. TLDR, for 95% of use case scenarios it’s a magnificent display.

I enjoy my phone that will last longer than 18 months.
I bought an XR about a month ago and I love it. Has everything i need and very good battery life. I was worried about face id, but absolutely no issues with that at all. I rarely even notice it happening. It is a bit heavy, but i love the size and the battery life, so it's all worth it.

Apple got it right with the iPhone XR value proposition especially with the 128gb variant is very well priced cheaper that a similarly ROM sized pixel 3. Although the Pixel 3 has a better display when it comes to PPI (I also like the looks of the Pixel 3).

But after seeing Iphone XR,i'm thinking to buy this beast.....!
Not to forget the iPhone 7 plus, with 8 plus which had the same 3GB ram with the iphone X versions but with home buttons still available to both devices.
I prefer lcd screens than oled. Oled bugs my eyes a lot more
