    If you wrap your cord like the infinity sign loosely instead of a small circle it works very well. BTW, the tighter you wrap your cords the more likely it is that the actual wires inside the plastic cord will break. Looser is better.

    I’m ordering the Velcro items as soon as I finish watching this. I love the idea. My husband is like most guys: neatness isn’t an inherited gene. I’m a everything-in-it’s-place person.

    Hi, Sophie this is Jermey McGuire. I have a TV mounted in my bedroom.”
    I, didn’t like the power cords and audio cable running down from the TV. I, had to zip tie the power cords from the tv and dish Joey receiver and Audio cable to eliminate the clutter.”
    Before I had 2 power cords and 1 audio cable running down from the TV, now it Loki’s Better than it did before.

    Labeling the cords, genius.❤ We have so many old cords and we don't know where they belong, so I can't get rid of them or I couldn't until now.🤗 I have to try that velcro cable ties too.

    For the instant pot, maybe you can wrap the cord first with a Velcro tie before hooking it up to the side of the appliance.

    Wow! I am going to purchase almost all the products you shared! I have a nightmare of cords behind my TV and cable box. I have no idea what is what!
    I feel blessed I can keep them all hidden but if I had to unplug every one I would be in trouble. Sophie, you have once again given me motivation to tackle all my cords and storage issues. I think I may have cords 15 yrs old! Yikes!

    I use those cord boxes because i have a bunch of cords and power supplies in a visible area, i can say they are the best and I highly recommend! For those DIYers it would easy to make your own for much less money, but for me the purchase was worth it :)

    Alternately you can attach the power bar to the underside of your desk. My husband did that for us years ago and I love it as we don’t see the cords (which used to make me crazy) and we don’t accidentally stretch our legs and accidentally unplug something or shut off the power bar - which I’ve done in the past! 😜

    I use the cord vendors and all my appliances it works really well for me I love them. Some appliances have to be wrapped more like a crazy eight and then just slip it in there it works much better

    Large binder clips also work very well as a cord wrap.

    another way to mark your cords is to save the bread ties, the square plastic ones, and pop those on the ends of the cords and mark them. but i still like the velcro ones too.

    Regarding the cord wrap on the Instant Pot: doesn't the side of the Instant Pot get super hot? I'm wondering how the Command hook is going to do if you stick it on a surface that gets really hot. Doesn't it dissolve/weaken the adhesive?

    • @SophisticatedOrganization
      @SophisticatedOrganization  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Really interesting thought! I still have it on there and I have used the instant pot a couple of times, and so far so good, but I'll keep you upated!

    I have those velcros, and they're like really annoying to use because it's so long.. I mean it's great for bigger appliances like if you have printer thick cables, or like, old pc thick cables, blowdryer, microwave.. . Other than that, for smaller things that i need such as usb cables, c-port cables, headphone wires, etc etc.. it's wayyyyy too long and annoying to wrap it like 10x around. So those smaller cables we actually use way more often. so we're constantly tying it around like 10x and untiing 10x gets really annoying. The thicker cable items we're actually using it less to tie and untie. *SIGH*.. so im on the search again for better velcro ties.

    It was painful watching you struggle with the Command Hook on the Instant Pot and the mixer. You totally don't get how that's supposed to work. It's SO SUPER EASY if you do it correctly. You are trying to "hang" the cord on the hook. That's NOT how it works. You just take the looped cord (that's in a circle, just like when you're about to hang it), press it together as if you were going to wrap a Velcro loop around it, place the ENTIRE looped cord inside the area where the Command hook is HANGING (not anywhere near the top hook where you were hanging the cord), then you bring the lower portion of the Command Hook up over the cord and fasten it to the hook. The cord is then just LAYING kind of "loose" inside that looped area, but it's NOT "hanging" on anything. It's just pressed tight inside the Command Hook loop. Does that make sense? If it's done correctly, it's SUPER CONVENIENT and neat looking - and a lot easier than trying to store the cord without the benefit of an accessory.
